I did a very similar run though it was no arty and no tanks cause I was relying on them to much and needed to learn better infantry tactics I found having a recon squad crawl up on return fire and using snipers to pick off enemies was extremely effective they could usually get up to about 50m from objective where I could then deploy smoke to close into grenade range and I spammed tons of nades at them
@@smokejumper749 depends really, by the time they are fielding decent arty you should have 4 recon squad that can fully encircle a point and 4 snipers to follow up behind each squad and possibly even call ins like a bombing run to wipe them out (if there is no AA gun) I will say though, a commander is ESSENTIAL to be able to scout and know what you are about to walk into
