The transition from victim to an aware man and then the snap with his armor +shaved head +the bloodthirsty eyes and expression of an angry predator, along with the theme song make the most epic scene transition I have seen with my life. If this was an ad for the US military, I'd sign up in a heartbeat
I will never get tired of this opening cinematic
Easily the greatest opening cinematic of all time
Starship troopers are gonna get a lot of unintentional attention, this game made such a good job at it
Seems very intentional
It was the 2nd highest searched film for a little while (I forgot what #1 was)

But its 2024, you know theyll ruin it if they tried to make a 4th movie, see Halo series ; /
I love the reference with the flag to the American soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima
The chest bump afterwards is gold😂
That picture is at least in the top 30 hardest photographs in history.
Yesterday was the day they raised it
@@thegodofsoapkekcario1970 It should be, it was staged after the fact.
I didn’t just hear that snap I felt it
that finger snap and the voice echo really hypes me up every time
“Why would we drop right in the middle of the nest we need to destroy?”
“I hate walking”
Seriously, has anyone tried dropping hellpods right onto egg patches? I’m wondering if it would work.
I’ve had it go both ways. Dropped on a hole and sealed it one time, died instantly on another.
So if u Helldive into a bug hole it destroys it but there is a chance that the pod will go inside completely still destroying the hole but u die on impact.
When you or a stratagem that gives stuff drops directly on something like you an enemy or some unique objects, it kills in one blow.
I dropped on an automaton factory and destroyed it but died lol
It works. We all dropped on a nest, tactically landing on a burrow each, immediately destroyed it in one go and gave ourselves a handshake afterward.
For those who found the satire of Starship Troopers too subtle.
I genuinely didn't think it was possible. And even then you still have people taking it at face value...
Yet half the comments are "I would totally sign up for this irl" satire is dead
"they team up to crush disgusting bugs in cool uniforms. just like the natsiies."
easy with the ant isem itism 😡

@@mraltaco It's a joke, get that stick out of your ass, comedy is dead.
Watch this every time it loads. Motivated for that sweet liber-tea!!!!!
this is one of the BEST trailers ive seen in my entire life about anything
The actor was clearly hamming it up for the first part, and I love it.
mfw the actor is acting:
His family was actually slaughtered in front of him, he’s not acting.
...The Ministry of Truth is going to redact me now, aren't they?
@@CaydenSworn oh i wouldnt say redact. more like, thought correction. (megamind meme)
@@TK-7193 The joke is that the acting is corny on purpose.
I bought the game solely because of this trailer. Their marketing team 10/10
Same here dude!!
The models are so perfectly rendered it took me a while to realize it was all CGI.
The transition from victim to an aware man and then the snap with his armor +shaved head +the bloodthirsty eyes and expression of an angry predator, along with the theme song make the most epic scene transition I have seen with my life.
This quality of production does not belong in games. This game is way beyond it's supposed pay grade.
Imagine what these guys would accomplish with 10x the resources and the level of talent and inspiration they brought to the table.
When Helldivers 3 comes out in a few years, shit’s gonna change everything
I think the character also lost quite a huge amount of body fat. Like he went through military training during the snap
I've said this to my friends a hundred times already but the facial animations in this are insanely good
When my wife saw the video she was surprised on real it looked, one day I am gonna go outside and be disappointed with the graphics
when i first saw this intro, i thought it was real locations (and people) with some CGI mixed in… this game is something else
The animators for this game did an incredible job. Your running changes based on terrain, even gradient. The reload animations, throwing animations, even the transition from aiming to sprinting etc are incredible
Its the lighting that does 80% of the work
@@GameMojo1 When my wife saw this trailer she left me to join the Helldivers
Not NEARLY enough people are acknowledging how well animated and how funny the facial expression at 0:29 is, I fucking love the happy to exaggerated shock/horror expressions!
Literally could not agree more… his facial expression animation probably was the first thing I noticed that made me laugh out loud and it’s one of the reasons I never skip this intro… ministry of truth mandates aside
Same!!
It's not even just how funny the facial animation is, but how spot on and realistic it is. Pretty much every other attempt at realistic CG facial animations always look uncanny and weird, like their is this odd disjoint between the words they are saying and the way their mouths move. Like they are some kind of puppet. But in this trailer, the faces move so naturally and feel alive, I don't get that uncanny valley feeling. Could almost believe it was live action to be honest.
It's 0:35 for me 😂
@@pjwander8998totally agree. Very first time I watched it I was like 'Are these graphics or people?" It's crazy, soon we won't be able to tell a difference between the two.
Why does the helldivers2 propaganda video look a hundred times better than the US military enlistment propaganda video?
Probably because they don't take themselfs as seriously. I haven't seen the US myself, but I bet that's why
Cause it doesn’t have a load of rainbow mafia in it.
The chest bump wad just perfect.
“Another victory for the right side of history.” Some Democracy Officer for Super Earth.

This game is what Starship Troopers: Extermination wanted to be
Granted ST:E is only in Early Access while HD2 is in full release. Lets look at it upon release, infacht HD2's success might help improve and steer ST:E : )
I like games from indie devs.
I feel bad because it looked decent and I followed their development, they tried, but this game completely blows it out of the water.

Dude, for real! That snap hit so hard 😤😤😤
FOR DEMOCRACY!!!
Damn, Super Earth was so dedicated to this add, they fed a mother and her child to a bug.
This goes harder than any recruitment commercial in the states lol
Fucking right. If they did something like this. Recruitment would be through the roof going into space 📈🌌
Its all now I have 2 moms and a they/ them half oppressed I should join the military
Ahh yes, no complicated names or goofy transactions or strange lore, just good ol “Super Earth” and a burning hatred for bugs
