Really?? Cuz I'm a beginner and I always teleport wherever I go, should I just walk?
My tip: Don't get yourself burnt out by playing TOO much. Enjoy the game, take some time to get invested into the story and characters. Rushing to AR45 is tempting, but it's not really worth a lot of you end up getting bored because there isn't anything else to do.
yeah i used to spend hours and hours on genshin and i started getting bored of it but i made a new account and decided to take it slow and start fresh
Nah bc im kinda getting depressed sumth especially when I arrived in inazuma there's so many things to understand and completing the maps.. And the artifacts... I'm out of artifacts.. And I didn't know about pity I don't even like ayaka's playstyle im forced to play her because im at ar 35 already... I have no other choice...
@@cedrick4395 aww :( you dont have to play her, I promise you that you can play with any 4 star you want and still manage to play effortlessly.. also you don't have to worry too much about artifacts until AR45, focus more on leveling up their talents and weapons
@@Cal_Night I 100% exploration monstadt yesterday I'll complete exploration dragonspine today maybe I'll try completing maps first before stepping again in inazuma maybe I'll make some progress. TIP: For newer players, each of your characters have talents you can level up as you play through the game. Do not neglect these because it's a nice boost of damage or utility for your team.
id love to level up mine but i need to hit ascension rank 2 to get them so im still doing piss all damage till then
Yeah I had no idea about that
I only knew about it now, and I was like AR 30... I definitely need them, now everything is so much easier...

they do. i recently got ganyu (granted, i am in end-game) and you get a bunch of extra damage from talents because i leveled her normal attack up to lvl 9 and she has improved drastically!
Be careful of ascending your adventurer rank until you are really ready - everything gets harder to kill and can slow your progress dramatically. On the up side - your rewards are better.

Another tip is: play with the characters you like. Doesn't matter if you don't have any 5-stars yet or if people dislike your favourite character and try to convince you that they're useless. Every character can be strong if you build them right so just play with whoever you want and don't let meta influence you, it's _your_ team and the only thing that matters if whether _you_ like them or not. Team comps or which characters you use don't matter outside of the Abyss anyway so just go with whoever you like the most, however unconventional or inconvenient it is.
Bro I'm in tears
True bro..im f2p player..ar26..the character i only get from standard banner is kuki shinobu..she's very usefull in my team..im finish all quest & puzzle in dragonspine using her..😁😁
My problem is I have more than 4 characters I like and want to play but ofc I need a team for 4 characters. So I always change my team 😭😭😭😭
Also it's hard for me to build my characters bc I don't have good swords and Artifacts so my 5 star characters are still not thaaaat good
thank you :) i love playing with the traveller, it feels more real in some way, but anemo traveller is pretty weak. i use him anyway tho, and sub with another character during harder challenges (as of typing this i'm ar17, exploring liyue instead of fighting dvalin cuz i'm procrastinating)
That is true 👍, people should character that they like and have fun wheather what other people say.
My tip for beginners: Instead of just randomly putting artifacts or weapons on your characters I suggest going to your bag and press the artifact that you want then click fast equip so you see what it will lower or if it will add up damage and etc.

This is why Mtashed is such a positive CC in the Genshin community. We have enough creators for the hardcore players and whales, but it's nice to see someone do good for newer players and those less experienced.

True, I always respect him.

I hope I can make an easy to understand and short guides covering important stuffs I learned from other CZcamsr too. The original videos are very long, I hope I can make summaries that very easy to understand for anyone.
Some content creators teach u very important stuffs like Jinx and Tuner but their videos are like 50% just talk.
And the important guide videos are like hours long. Not everyone gonna watch that, but I think its good to know it.
I don't understand why there are people make fun of him making "level up artifacts for better dmg" video. Genshin Impact was my first RPG game and his videos saved me as I was almost completely lost at the start of the game. Now I've managed to clear Abyss 12 and every pieces of content, fully set for Inazuma.
@@noweirdstuffallowed3486 most people generally tell it jokingly but some take it way too seriously 🙁
@@devrakesh8555 I was actually referring to the negative one, it's was on another channel, where the comment section was people talking about Genshin content creators. Here's one of my personal tips for new players: when you get those XP books and you use them to level up your characters, have you noticed that once you level up a character, their HP bar goes to max?
You can actually save those XP books, and you can use them in the middle of a really tough boss fight. Let's say you're doing one of the world level ascension quests and one of your characters is about to die. just bring up the character menu and level them up one! Now he/she has full health! It's basically a free heal and you're not consuming any food, so it doesn't affect your appetite status. (you just can't do this trick if you have reached your max level and need to ascend)
thanks for this tip man, im not a new player im returning, but i didnt know this
@@kurplu1979 No prob. This little trick has gotten me through many difficult boss fights early on in the game. But now, I have really good healers that can carry me through most fights. Or I just hit the boss with everything I have and wait to heal afterwards.
@@justinchan6043 Can you tell me what the appetite status means?
@@manchest100 when you heal yourself by eating food, you can only eat so much food, then you become full and it won't let you eat any more. Basically it's a cap on the amount you can heal yourself with food.

my tip: dont stress out cus youre gonna learn the things you missed as you progress anyway,, theres no 'mistake' big enough to ruin your account as long as you plan to learn things and improve it along the way anyway
Tip: Do not destroy your 3 star weapons, sometimes they are better than 4* ones for some specific characters because they are easy to get to max refinement rank.
Keep at least 1 copy of each R5 weapon
For example: Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, Harbinger Of Dawn, White Tassel etc
This is so true even for p2p players. Always keep a r5 copy of 3 star weapons.
3 star weapons are designed to work well with specific characters. For example : Dragon Slayer for Barbara, Twin Nephrite for Ningguang/Yanfei, Cool Steel for Kaeya/Xingqiu, Harbinger of Dawn for Albedo/Kaeya, White Tassel for Hu Tau, Black Tassel for Zhongli etc
But these must be r5 refinement to be perform well
Eventually you will need to destroy some .
What is better is to refine to R5 and lock one unit of each 3* weapons for any eventuality . Specially the Tassels , Tales ... and Harbinger .
So so true I currently use Thrilling Tales r3 on Barbara and White Tassel r5 for Rosaria and it has helped me so much.
@@demoncloud6147 And don't forget Skyrider greatsword for Eula! outperforms all 4* except possibly one.
I'm using a r5 harbinger of dawn on my Jean and her skill can hit for 8k to 10k if it crits and her burst can hit for 13k to 15k.
This tip might help: every day, you can ask the blacksmith both in Mondstadt and Liyue for the locations of crystal ores. If you do this daily, you can have more crystal chunks and magical crystal chunks. You can use the magical crystal chunks as materials for the parametric transformer.
OFC, if you have the time, you can check the interactive map to farm all the locations of these crystal ores.
If you just started to play Genshin, I highly recommend watching this entire video! It helped me a ton!
I actually started a new f2p account on the NA server, so this guide is so helpful even though I’ve played the game on Asia server for almost 8 months. I’m taking the time to appreciate the game since I rushed so hard to AR45 in the beginning and spent a bunch of money trying to get characters without knowing who they were just because people were recommending them.
Please take the time to enjoy the game and get immersed in the quests and characters. It’ll enrich your experience a lot more. It’s not all about the gacha and getting the best characters.
I’m not gonna lie, this videos timing is so perfect for me. I quit a few weeks after Klee came out, so I’ve missed a lot as I’m returning today

My #1 tip for begginers: unless you can dodge and avoid every single attack, invest on a shielder character and a healer character. That'll save you tons of precious resources as well as Mora in the future.
Everyone can get Noelle from her special banner, so that's amazing. Upon reaching AR 20 everyone can get Barbara too.
Thanks I guess
Really bad tip! You need to go for a healer and sheild character only after ar40! Before that learn to dodge .. you can always get a free heal/revive at the statues of the seven

@@zaccampa4055 nope lmao
If I may add some tips based on personal experience:
- There's a little girl named Chloris who likes to wander around Windrise some of the time -- you can buy sweet flowers and mint off of her if you're short on time or are too lazy to comb the grass yourself
- Certain tea pot furniture needs certain woods -- mark the places on your map where you can farm that wood so you don't have to keep googling "where can I farm fir"
- You can spend sigils to buy billets but only ONCE -- spend wisely
flora also sell sweet flowers and shes stay in monstadt so both of them can help
For the first tip, instead of marking all the anemoculit/geoculi, you can instead mark the map anytime you pick one up and refer to the map after you're done exploring in order to collect any that you've missed. It makes your map cluttered but it makes sure that you get everything easily without missing out on the excitement of exploring the world.
yup, that’s what I do now! wish I did it from the start however
I wished i saw this from me starting the game f for me man
Number one tip newbies: Don’t EVER RUSH the CONTENT. If u ever thought of rushing, I guarantee u will run out of stuff within A WEEK.
What else are they supposed to do? Stare at grass? People ALWAYS say this, but there isn't much to do other than progressing your account.
So basically don’t play the game? Lol ok
@@Flutter8utter you made the whole group laugh.
I rushed the game, for almost one month I'm at ar 45, but I don't have enough resources to level up my characters, don't have hero's wit etc. Lmao.
What he means to say is play at a slower pace. Have fun with the game. Do a little bit at a time and go do other things after, then come back the next day. I've been taking it slow SINCE LAUNCH and i'm just now getting to inazuma content.
I like that you didn't spend 10 minutes explaining what the game is. Got straight to the point and informed the hell outta me. I am just installing it right now so this was perfect to watch as it finished.
"There aren't enough resources to level up everyone"
I think that this line is kinda misleading and confusing to new players. When someone says limited resources, it doesn't mean that at some point, you will stop getting resources as rewards. (I was dumb enough to believe that I will stop getting resources please forgive me). What it actually means is that there is a limit on how much resources you can farm each day. Each domain cost about 20 resin, you have 160 resin, and it gets replenished everyday, so after you spend all the resin, you can't really farm any ascension materials, weapon lvl up materials etc. (You still can farm materials which can be farmed by killing enemies in the game world). Its kinda like a job, you can technically by a new Lamborghini, but for that, you have to keep doing the 9 to 5 job for decades, and keep you spendings minimal, in order to be able to afford one, since it is very unlikely that someone will spend thier decades of savings on a Lamborghini, they just say "I dont have the money" or "It is impossible for me to buy it". Same with leveling up characters and artifacts, you can technically level up everything, but it is a painfully long process.
I am a AR39 player, not the most experienced, but also not a complete naive. Feel free to correct me, just be respectful.
Any tips for AR 10 and lower to spend resin?
@@aldebaranbjorn8529 I'd say just do leylines until ar15 when you can ascend your characters and weapons. though your comment was a week ago so you're probably past this point
@@sparkzcomet222 it's pretty easy so you shouldn't have a problem, im glad it helped :D
I was actually smart ahead of time and saved up over 3 million mora and used some items to get my resin up to 1260 ... or something like that. And then just use a little bit at a time. (It hit's a cap around that area so while the normal for recharging is 160, items can push you far past it but only so far.)

I'd love that haha

Me who’s been playing since the beginning:
Hmm very interesting
I named my traveler Ren because the twins reminded me of Kagamine Ren and Rin. The characters I’m using mostly is Kaeya, Traveler, Barbara, and Yoimiya. I try to mix and match weapons and artifacts on them but I get a little confused 😅
Lol my traveler's name is Sen
i named myself len once
i almost named myself rin for this reason!!🥰
Just started playing this today and all I can think is if they could make a zelda game like this and BOTW it would be absolutely amazing
Maybe another addition for the crystal chunks. Each day, you can speak to the blacksmiths in Mondstad and Liyue and ask if they found some special ores/mining products. They will then mark some nice locations on the map with quite the amount of crystal chunks. (break the crystals with a claymore character, like noelle)
To all the new players coming in with Inazuma I hope you have fun exploring :)
And please don’t rush it. Just enjoy exploring whenever you want
TIP:
for the craft 10 items in the tea pot objective for the battlepass, the "Storage Sack: Buzz-Off Bag" is the cheapest and most self sustaining item to craft repeatedly. only costs 4 Fabric which you can craft using Silk flowers (that you can also grow in the teapot) as well buy them pretty cheap in the Real Depot
A thing I would definitely recommend is leveling up your artifacts :) I didn't realize how low my dmg was until a friend told me that I should level up my weapons/artifacts
Couple quick tips not mentioned in the video:
1. You can press G or click the tutorial button in the menu to read up on mechanics that you may have missed the first time. It also explains each element and every elemental reaction and what they do
2. READ YOUR CHARACTER TALENTS. I have seen so many people underutilized their characters and complain why their damage seems low. As your character levels up they will get certain passive skills. Some are better for exploration like decreased stamina consumption for the party and some are specific to the character. For example, Kaeya unlocks a passive that allows for his elemental skill to heal him.
Oh my god Mtashed.
It’s been awhile since I saw you play. I remember when you had a nervous breakdown. You also, like, gave a ton of info and posted videos that made this game so interesting for me at the beginning.
I am just rejoining. All my friends are AR55 and I’m barely AR35. They’ve been tremendous help, but I like to really cover my bases. I gotta say, great advice as always.
You deserve all the views and subs you get. I hope you’re takin’ care of yourself and playing healthy. I recall you doing a free to play run. Looking forward to binging that.
Finally, a decent beginners guide with some real content. THX man!!! I started to play this last week and was completely lost on what and how to do a couple of things.
Great guide! Good job! And this really can help a lot if new and returning players.
Tip for new players: just keep this video saved in one of your playlist and come back to it freon time to time as you level your Adventure Rank, because the game might seem overwhelming at first with everything there is to do. Rewatching the video as you get new stuff unlocked can help you a lot with some hard to miss details.
Just a note on the Parametric Transformer. When you're doing your daily crystal collecting, there's these dark blue crystals called Magic Crystal Chunks along with the lighter blue Crystal Chunks. The light blue ones can be directly forged into ore which is good. The dark blue you can use resin to craft the ore, which honestly isn't worth doing for most players. You can use these Magic Crystal Chunks in the Parametric Transformer so they don't just take up inventory space and you can save your other materials for food or dye or whatever. Also lets you use your expeditions on Mora and Ore instead of carrots or radishes.
FYI: The compass does not point to hidden chests, puzzle chests, or chests that need a trigger. So you miss like 40% of all chests if you rely on it (maybe even more)
I found about 40-45 chests that I missed over and over again, basically hidden in plain sight! Very useful tool I still use it once every patch just to find the little chests that respawn sometimes
chests that are behind breakable rocks also can be find with compass!
just use the interactive map. done

The interactive map is awesome but it actually doesn’t have every chest on it. Have seen that myself
Just a warning for newbies doing the chamber three, floor three for Xiangling, try level up and get specific characters really good beforehand as chamber three floors are quite hard.
Especially the floor 2
Even if you have “bad characters” if you have good combos and read the buffs each floor gives you.
I don’t have anyone special, but Barbara + Kaeya is a great beginner combination.
My characters are level 56-60 and I can't even 3-star the chamber 3. I figured I should have upgrade their talents and weapons. And I need to level-up the artifacts too. The problem is I didn't really want to farm for artifacts. I'm ar40 but many are saying only start farming when you reached ar45.
Mtashed: There's a portal to take you to the island with the Spinal Spire
Me, who saw an island in the distance and had a Kayea: *slowly freezes a bridge and walks across the ocean at level 10 to get there and defeats all the blobs with Kaeya's freezing ability.*
2 of my friends just started today. The timing couldn't be more perfect. My best piece of advice is to pick up literally anything that you see and to start as soon as you can on the interactive map to avoid hating your past self.
addition to the first tip: most interactive maps (maybe all) let you mark which anemoculi and geoculi you already found. Its much more convinient to just mark it there, then mark every single culi on your own map (its impossible to mark all at once anyways). Pings on your own map can be used for much more useful stuff like crystal ores.
As someone who got the game really really early, I am just now returning and find this super helpful, thanks!
Bro as someone that just started out like 3-4 days ago and already dumped 20 some hours into the game, thank you for this. I have a bit more of a game plan now, and I’m looking for further myself in AR so I can push through the story.
I don’t want to spoil it for myself, despite reading through the fandom wiki a bit, so I’ve been really excited to do more with the story.
Don't forget about reputation rewards! The ones that let you craft items that let you track down Anemoculus and Geoculus (and soon Electroculus) are super useful for when you mark one down from the map, but aren't able to find it or just know the general area of one.
I recommend to not roll on inazuma characters right now if u r in your early adventure rank( below 30).
Inazuma may be locked beyond adventure rank and so will be the materials for those characters. Thus u will be stuck with lv 20 characters until u reach that ar and unlock inazuma
im rolling to get some of the 4 star caracthers so i can reach pity when something that i like would be there
You can do trial run, it helped me to ascend ayaka to 40 before unlocking Inazuma :)
Well, true but if someone really wants a certain character it would be such a mistake not to roll for them right here and right now...
I started farming artifacts as soon as I had a higher chance in getting 4*, then once I unlocked lvl 80 domains a grinded a lot. I was doing big numbers at a low AR with 4*, if you aren't a f2p and you don't mind capping your resin daily, do it. It is worth it , it made everything so easy
Tying into Mtashed's suggestion to do Liyue rep, I would add that this unlocks the ability to do condensed resin. And leading up to that, get your butt to the Windrise Tree and The Dawn Winery while you are still in Mondstat and collect Crystal Flies. They'll make your life a lot easier in the long run.
i love catching crystal flies and i don't know where to use them haha
Thanks for bringing the guides back!, I missed them a lot
Came back like 3 days ago. Saw dragonspine, decided to play it and my first wish back I roll a diluc.
Here's another thing you missed then: Xiangling outdpses Diluc
@@isshonsaha8673 nobody cares
@@isshonsaha8673 ok just use who you want, i mean if damage is your thing go ahead but both can be really good if you build them well and have a good team
The thing about Xiangling people overlook is that she only does more dps than a C0 Diluc and that's with constellations. And it's not solely her personal dmg either, it's just that she makes the most use of Bennett's Q in the "National team" which still requires proper rotation to pull off the wombo combo. With Diluc you can just unga bunga your way through the majority of content.
@@acanthafiore It's unrealistic to consider constellations for 5 * units unless you're a whale tho.
Just knowing about the interactive map is a game changer! Thank you soooo much for making this video!
Wow, i came back to this game after dropping to it and holy shit this has helped me out so much. Genuinely tysm you have saved me so much stress
this video seems nostalgic for end game players lol
It is lol
I’ve been playing for about a week lol. AR 17
next time: "how to make 1000x more damage"
itll change everything
Dont even go there😹
That's doable from a silver sword lol
1000x dmg ?
c6 carry with r5 5* weapon + buff food + buffing party members + timing
I returned to this game after a little under a year and i just wanna say this was a big help on getting back into it.
Thank you i started 1 week and 4 days and I didn't understand anything the game said I searched google and CZcams thank you so much I'll start seeing more of your videos
It's my first time playing games, I've been doing Genshin for 2 weeks now this is really helpful 😊
It was beginner guide videos like these that mtashed made back then that helped me a few months ago when I was new to the game. Even now as an AR55 player I still learned something new surprisingly.
Thank you Mtashed
i always thought co-op in this game wouldn't be the best for some reason. But it is one of my favorite things, I do it all the time with my friend. And we just spent the whole time building our inventory of items for acesending and leveling of weapons.
I started playing yesterday... I am overwhelmed x'D
I started a second account and I got to AR 35 within 2 weeks just by completely exploring mondstadt and the archipelago 100% with the help of the teyvat interactive map.
I'm AR56 and I finished this vid, a very good guide for newbies and returnees, even learned a thing or two :) pretty much covered everything to date.
Pov: your new on genshin
High AR players who join Low AR players worlds, i just want to say thank you and I love you so much. I can't do this without you 😭 (got to AR 17 last night!)
Nice to hear I love it when they join too they got me to AR 22 so far 😂 made some friends too
I remember searching for genshin tips 6 months ago and your video popped up, been a fan since then, and learned a lot about the game.
I wish I knew that portal when I first started. I glided from the cliff to the Abyss portal to activate it instead of using the portal to warp to there.
At least u knew what the portal was for. U should have seen me Keaya bridge all the way there
@@lemonsqueak5142 Omg same, it took me so long to get there bridging with Kaeya. I wish I knew a portal existed :')
same. i still don't know where that portal is cause i don't need it anymore
same. i still don't know where that portal is cause i don't need it anymore
I just learned this myself
When I got the gliders or before I got it
You can actually boost yourself
The time when you sprint
Jump at the time you pressed sprint
Also worked while gliding
Go to a high place
Do the same thing
Sprint boost and jump
And spread the wings
Thank you for this!! There's so much content in the game that guides like this really make a difference 🙈
thank you tash man for taught me everything in genshin impact months back as you are the 1st genshin content creator I watched
Biggest tip of all: play more
@@djdndi ratio denied
Agree, it's actually true
And whale for best dmg output and best experience
@@djdndi this is embarrassing
I mean, you can play and play and play, and trust me on this:
If you don’t advance the story
If you don’t power up your adventure rank
If you don’t play with purpose, collecting the right items, fighting the right foes, completing the right tasks…
You can play all you want, and still fall behind.
*Stay informed.* This game is enjoyable whether you rank or not….but if you have friends? Maybe consider focusing on rank. No rush, be patient, but be persistent too.
Crazy to think I used to watch Mtashed's Destiny videos a lot and now that I'm diving into Genshin Impact, I'm coming back to see he's the first recommendation for Beginner's... Nice job old Guardian!
Hardest part of this entire game for me is choosing a team and sticking with it, every new char I get I want to level them to use right away which has slowed me down pretty bad lol
In addition to the tips mentioned by Mtashed, here are some additional tips
i) After getting all the anemoculus and geoloculus, try to complete the achievement section to get more primogems (ie complete time trials in monstadt (15) and liyue (45) , master 40 foods, etc.)
ii) there are some hidden achievement that can be unlock. you can find them in youtube.
iii) when collecting food item, some times there will be monster that suddenly appears. Kill them to have a chance to spawn treasure box.
iv) there are a lot of puzzle throughout liyue that can give rewards. you can find them in youtube.
v) if you notice some strange things ( ie unlighted torch, floating plants, anemo slimes that dont attack you, potholes in liyue, boxes on water in liyue), interact with them to have a chance to get treasure box / additional loot. )
vi) for serenitea pot, for starters, focus on indoor set that you have unlocked (not purchased) that has the highest points. ( Purchased indoor set may have item that is only obtainable once you reach a certain level.). You can also learn ways to quickly increase trust rank in youtube.
vii) every start of the week, try to complete the 4 main bosses once ( ie Dvalin, Wolf of the north, Tartaglia, and Azdaha) to get prototype and accessory.
viii) There are individuals around monstadt and liyue that sells food item, minerals or plants. Mark the location where you find them. This will be helpful especially to those who dont have time to spend on grinding for resources.
Tip for new ar45 players: *Hp and Def rolls are waiting for you* ;)
Not gonna lie thats the first and only ad I havent skipped, very well done with your presentation
Hi, really enjoyed your video and you!! When i first started playing this game, my daughter was playing since fist came out on PS4, she showed me everything i needed to do. Ive been on game for almost a year, im still a lvl 35, like everyone hasbeen saying take your time lvling up, keep exploring and get a feel for the game and i collect everything i find, you will need it sooner or later. And please use co- op, ppl on the game will help you with anything you need
Thank you so much for this. I had taken a long break and just really couldn't find something that was easy to understand to get back into the game. I'm glad to see you're still enjoying enjoying the game.
When marking anemoculus on your in game map, if you match it up with the genshin interactive map then you can just tab back and forth and it makes it easy to make sure you've got them all transferred onto your map
“There aren’t enough resources to level everyone”
Moga: yea about that…
