@@mountainracing2145 I’m not mtashed but I doubt he will reply. Don’t use razor as support, he is meant to be a main dps and is great with his role but not anywhere else. U should build him and use kaeya as his sub dps for superconduct reactions.
@@mountainracing2145 First get a fourth character,i would reccomend a electro for the electro passive like Fischl but if you dont have her lisa can be nice too Kaeya and lisa are nice together for super conducts and super conduct lowers the enemies's resistance to physical dmg for 9 seconds.Its a reaction that needs you to apply cryo and electro on the opponement Idk know how to build kaeya and lisa but a idea is for barbara is full maidens (Maidens is short for maidens beloved,which is a artifact set you can get together with viridiscent venner in the domain 'Valley of rememberence')Im a razor main myself and he is a physical dps so i would say pale flame and or bloodstained,you get pale flame from a domain near dragonspine (i forgot which,it isnt valley of rememberence tho) and bloodstained is all the way in liyue so if you want you can get the teleporters ready for when your AR is high enough for these sets A conclusion is basically Razor physical dps (physical means with your normal clicked attacks btw) and for electro resonance Kaeya to apply cryo on the enemy with skill and burst Lisa for electro resonance,to apply electro with skill and burst And barbara for healing I dont reccomend that you go and farm that early,its worth the most at AR 45 bc you get garunteed 5* artifacts,also i think that you can actually get the sets i mentioned at around ar 30 or ar 35 i think ar 35 Dont focus on everyone but focus on 1 character aka your main (which should be razor) Things to know about the characters:I reccomend leveling razors clicked attacks bc he is a physical after all And as the very last,barbara's healing scales with hp so if you want you can also go 2-piece tendency of the millelith (its from the same artifact domain as from pale flame) and also 2 piece maidens beloved I hope this wasnt to much for you too process and sorry for typing something so long but i hope that i was still able to help Also dont burn through content,this game is still in development so take it slow and easy and dont immediatly try to get to the high levels and dont forget to prepare for future WL's,its a mistake i made at ar 40 so i reccomend you prepare for things like ascension stuff for weapons and characters

I've seen comments in his other videos claiming he's slowly losing his mind to this game lmao. Gacha games really aren't meant to be rushed. I'm happy being F2P and slowly spending resin daily, getting my boss hunts on CD and doing dailies.
Don't cook unless you need to imo. Do it for the battle pass challenges and to master recipes for the achievement primogems but otherwise just hoard stuff if you don't know who will need how many. You might also find a world quest that needs something (usually just a handful so it won't run you dry of it, quick side quest if you already have a stockpile).
Lol i always farm those chili every 2 days at the valley. I love using jade parcels as food to boost my attack hahahahah. I have tons of them, thank God its required for xiangling.
@@gamehunter88 imo there are dishes that i think you should cook, like the ones that give you stamina to explore the map way faster and the ones which give you ATK DEF or stuff like that for bosses
@@bogdan926 agreed there are definitely dishes worth cooking. I just mean you don't NEED to. And if its a new dish you don't have a lot of an ingredient for because its a specialty like the chilies it can be worth not cooking it, especially if you realize you need them for someone's ascension.

My friend who started playing Genshin before me kept on saying that it’s a waste of time for me to constantly gather small materials and kill every random mob I come across, a few months later and I’m at a higher AR than him and my characters are even stronger than his, who’s laughing now Scott 🤬
I'm kind of in the same spot I just started 4 days ago and my friends been playing for months I'm not ahead of her yet... but I'm close I'm at AR 25 and she's at AR 31 so it's hard to tell Update I passed her, I have made it to AR 52 will be 53 in a day or so, she still hasn't gotten to 50, and my characters are all over level 50
Dude I feel you I’m pretty new to genshin I think I started in late September or early October because of my friend who’s been playing for over a year, of course she ar 55 (she just got there) and has most everyone leveled as high as you can get it but in my short time I’m already ar 42 I love exploring and farming so I always find shit 😂

So i am not the only one collecting flowers and fruits. Eventually I also started enjoying cooking and fighting random monsters who dare to cross my path. I am at level 18 and enjoying the grass and sky and fights.
yeah, i'm AR35 now and to be honest, monsters are now 20 lvl higher than any of my character, and i can't even beat them to get stuff, so just enjoy the game while you're still low lvl
Personally, I don't consider farming/grinding as "something to do." To me, those are costs to acquire something to make actually playing the game more enjoyable. Not suitable to consider as a goal unto themselves.
Me, an AR27 already feeling like my characters are real underpowered : *smiles nervously* update : i am now AR43 and my highest damage dealer is at ATK 1.7k. I still feel underpowered lol update 2 : just hit AR50 two days ago, world level 7, with two main damage dealers up my sleeves both at 2.3k and 1.8k at this time. Still need to beef up the last artifacts both with atk%. But im glad to say that lvl90 monsters don't intimidate me anymore LOL
A quick summary: 1.) FARM YOUR DAILIES, this includes Daily Bosses, Comissions, etc. Don't skimp out on free resources you see lying on the ground, don't skimp out on the enemies because you can't be bothered to fight them. DO your expeditions, Get Ore, GET those resources because overtime, IT ADDS UP 2.) FARM TALENT ASCENSION MATERIAL WHEN U HIT AR 36 3.) Unless you're a Whale, SAVE YOUR PRIMOGEMS instead of using it for resin, saving it for when you're AR 40 becomes much MUCH more efficient as you get better and better rewards for the same 20 resin. 4.) Don't bother leveling your support characters to 70, prioritize your main DPS. YOU CAN ASCEND THEM TO GET THEIR PASSIVE TALENTS, ascending doesn't cost character EXP books but it allows you to upgrade talents, get passive talents, and a relatively good boost to your stats without needing to level them up. 5.) EDIT: Chests are confirmed that they do NOT respawn. 6.) Get the free Mora, bunch of videos regarding this but he lists down all of them so watch the vid.
it doesn't change anything, regen rate is still in place it would mean something if we refill full energy instead of just 60. The best and simplest way is to put refill to max resine and not just 60. Resin cap upped only allow you more time outside the game
I have no idea why people are in such a rush to complete this game. It's single player. There is no one to impress but yourself with your max level toons. It should be experienced at a much slower pace as a relaxation game.
@@kristopher4557 the thing is the tier lists are horrendous not because they aren't correct as a baseline but because it leads people to believe the characters they have suck if they aren't the ones from higher tiers... It blatantly isn't true this is a game where stat mods go up into the hundreds. You are going to have to make the best with what you got and not everyone has Diluc. Some chars are also easier to farm because banners so getting those 6 constellations will make that char surpass most 5 stars by default for having their entire kit unlocked. Honestly the tierlist really only works for dolphins and whales and really doesn't accomplish much else because this is single player PvE with coop elements here and there.
I dropped Genshin when I was AR30 and started picking it up again a few days before Inazuma started. I was playing blind and hardly did any quests aside from the Archon quests because the story was interesting, but then my friend who's at AR56 taught me so many things that I've been missing. Edit: Hello! I've returned 5 months later to share little tidbits for all the newcomers for the game! I'm currently AR55 so I've learned a lot compared to last time, *so here are some tidbits I'll note down in a much neater and simplified fashion:* -There are 2 different leylines: Blue (for level up materials) and Yellow (for mora) -Do not let your resin cap! Use them to beat bosses and domains so they never stop refilling. -Invest into your character's talents, your power level will increase by leaps and bounds -You can unlock all domains at AR45! -Consider collecting all the anemoculi and geoculi as soon as possible to increase your max stamina. Use an anemoculus/geoculus detector to detect the last few ones you can't find, which you can craft once reaching a certain reputation level in Mondstat/Liyue. -Genshin Impact interactive map will save you a lot of trouble when farming. Unfortunately, it's not linked to your genshin acc so you'll have to checkmark things by hand. Saving your progress in an account does help though! -Consider investing in an NRE. It basically puts food in your hotbar spot so you don't have to open your inventory to eat food -Regarding artifact and character builds, the general rule of thumb is to find artifacts with crit rate/crit dmg. Avoid flat HP (basically not HP%), flat ATK, flat DEF, and DEF%. -Good crit rate/dmg ratio is 1:2 -Try and aim for at least 50% crit rate -For geo characters, you don't really need elemental mastery -For anemo characters, you definitely need elemental mastery (esp if they're supports) -Read through your character's attack descriptions to see if they scale off of anything. If they do, invest into whatever they scale off of. (Ex: Barbara’s healing scales off of her max HP, so invest into some HP% artifacts) -Watch some videos about building certain characters! Some characters have some niche builds and aren’t as straightforward as others, so look at what the guides recommend. Alternatively, look into an AR55+ acc and see what builds they use for their characters and use them as a base for your own character. 7 months later, AR57 stuff I've found out or forgot to add: -On the map, if you see a white arrow on a pin to your destination, if it points up, that means your destination is above you. If it points down, it's below you. -Overloaded dmg ignores crit, and scales off of elemental mastery. It ignores target's DEF but instead its pyro resistance. -If you swirl an element, there will be an element that will be prioritized more than the other. The order is pyro > hydro > electro > cryo. Ex: If there are enemies that are inflicted by pyro and cryo, when you swirl, it will swirl pyro. Dendro and geo does not swirl. -There is now something called an "attribute/talent reference" for your artifacts and talents! If you're not sure which artifacts to slot into your character or which talent to upgrade first, look at the top right of your screen and you will see the attribute/talent reference. For artifacts, it will show a recommended attribute slot for that character and artifact. For talents, it will show the recommended order to upgrade your talents. That’s all for now! I’ll add more when I can think of some.

@@solaris9244 NRE is a gadget where its recipe can be obtained after reaching reputation lvl 5 in mondstat. I recommend looking it up in the Genshin wiki for more details ^^
He did it in the video but apparently a lot of people don’t know about this: if you need certain enemy drops (like if you have Bennett and need treasure hoarder insignias all the time), you can track them using the Adventurer’s Handbook >> Enemies!

@@givinnatanlie4619 Because when the character drops that you want to spend all your gems getting, it will take 180 pulls potentially. That’s 29k primos. Less if you get lucky but the rate you get them at slows down a lot

My problem is that as soon as I unlocked Liyue I was having so much fun exploring that I raised my AR to 35 way before I had the resources to strengthen my characters to keep up. Now I’m running into the resin scam. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
im AR 35 and I only have one team that could stand going higher (bennet yanfei candance beidou) but the rest of my characters is lvl 40 or lower so as much as I would love rank rewards Im going to stay on 35 for a while lol
@FBI I mean, i played 28 hours of genshin and the game content endend, i am AR 38 and i have to wait 20 days in order for my characthers to actually NEED leveling past 70, how should i feel pressured? I would be able to raise my main team to 80+ playing 40 min/day untill the 11th November. You never played an ACTUAL grinding game if you feel pressured by Genshin rn
Maybe later it will be impossibile and absurdly grinding but at the moment reaching peaks is super easy and takes little time. You just are cockblocked by resin system
Genshin can be called a Gatcha but it's still mostly an MMO. every MMO gets really grindy whether it's FFXIV or Destiny 2 or even BDO. every MMO differs but loses you quickly if you're not the type to grind out a game willingly. they're either boring at the beginning or boring later on in the game. there's no other way about it - when you want to play as a legit genshin player, you need to be prepared to grind this out and dedicate effort into it

don't worry. Unless you're extremely extremely hardcore gunning it in the game like streamers and whales, you won't hit these points playing even semi-dedicated/casually before the next update with more content hits :) I've been playing like 4-6 hours a day for a couple weeks now and still have lots and lots to do :D
You realize all the in game items like chests etc. All respawn within a couple days right? You cant run out of all the chests , theres the daily use of resin boss farming etc, I'm literally AR 36 and havent even completely the archon quests for liyue because I cant stop running around an exploring/doing other stuff, if you've ran into this point your on your game way to much
when I first started playing I was always getting everything I could find because I thought one day I might need them (one of the first things I did was spent hours in first spawn just getting eggs, crabs, plants, flowers, fruits, meat, and random stuff) one of the main reasons why I was leveling up so slow (ignoring story quests to get resources) but I'm glad I did lol
i did the arcchon quests first, coz i want to know the story before i go on my usual thing. But also as a late comer i had a hard time trying my best to get the spoilers out in the back of my head, it sucks
So three general points: 1. Start expeditions for resources (do it first 'cause it's gonna take 20 hrs). 2. FOR LOWER LEVELS, use resin but DO NOT spend anything to get it back, let it recharge. (do bosses, domains, anything useful). 3. GO discover the world, GRAB everything (if it sparkles take it), KILL everything, LOOT the chests. 4. Have fun. (yes this is the fourth of the three, the most important) Notes DO NOT invest on a lot of different items Mix quests in between No.3 Keep your fragile resin until later to maximize high level grind Level up everything in your main team, levels, weapons, artifacts, talents. Food helps a lot (wasn't mentioned) When getting to AR36 max everything If I forgot anything watch the video. (most important)
Play at your time! as a AR 34 I was getting temped to rush in the game because of artifacts,characters and stuff and that´s slowly ruining the game experience, dont feel pressure about, give it a chance and enjoy the game as long as you can! I will quite looking for this videos for a while ,until I feel really interested in the mechanics and theory, otherwise I´ll be exploring more of the game and learning more about the story. Yeah I felt the same way at first. Watching genshin guides are a double edged sword cause half the time, the people you’re watching play the game as their job, so they’re more hardcore and spendy about all of it. Just take your time and enjoy it at your own pace
i once quit the game because of the pressure of being underleveled at high ar so i mostly watch these guides so i dont make major mistakes like that, just remember that its you who play the game and its you who decides how to progress in it. it's simply for fun :D

The (by far!) most important advice I as an AR54 player would give to new players is this one: Every item matters! No matter how much of one resource you possess if there is more lying on the ground pick it up! If you have 400 mint and you never needed them and you see one right in front of you COLLECT IT! There have been so many times I pillaged everything in my way and months later I suddenly needed 200 of that resource and I was so happy that I already collected em all. So pick up every item you find in the open world even if you think you don't need it rn. This goes also for low quality artifacts because you'll need em to level up your high tier artifacts.
CZcamsrs and their "NOW NOW DO THIS NOW" mentality is gonna kill this game sooner rather than later. Yes there is stuff to farm but there is also time. 4'ish weeks to 1.1 and 2 and a half months to 1.2 minimum... This is a not a sprint, its a marathon, getting stronger without anything to fight doesn't make mugh sense and if you farm now you'r only gonna not have much to do when new content comes. Take it easy, play at your pace, don't grind and get burnt out.

This. The game has literally been out for less than 3-weeks and people are panicking about leveling up as fast as they can, so that they don't get left behind. The F2P people don't realize that most of these AR40+ players have spent thousands upon thousands of currency for the sole purpose of min-maxing. I have no problem whatsoever with progressing the game in my own leisurely pace. In fact, I'm glad there are people way ahead of me. That way I can be warned of shit I shouldn't be doing, like using a sword to breakdown minerals (LOL).
I mean most of the videos are about "if you do x now you're going to have an easier time later" kind of mentality, and they're not wrong. What's wrong with picking up some mats for characters/weapons along the way? If everything was timegated from xp to mats then it wouldn't be that big of an issue. Like you can only get some mats two days out of the week, like why?
Not everybody has fun the same way. Some people are fast and some other are slow, that is only your opinion, let people do what they want, like him or like me, because i do the same, and we have fun our way. And this is not an opinion, this is reality, do what you want and let the rest do the same

Agreed they do need some sort of reset book on weapons and also a xp reset book for characters we tested when we first started the game and wasted leveling materials on but ended up not enjoying them. Even if it costed 500 primo gems to reset because of course they would try monetize this feature it would still be awesome and useful.

This game is designed to _motivate_ players toward p2w. I believe the tip for casual players is to simply _take it slow_ ; rushing toward gated objectives will only yield the frustration the developers desire so that wallets open up more easily.

Leveling up your talents was something I didn’t realize until AR 28 and it makes a big difference and I agree with leveling the talents up quickly as you ascend

I’ve been camped at AR35 for at least a month, avoiding the world ascension quest. This lets me build, level and compete with under leveled characters and still enjoy the game. I’ll eventually move up, but it seems like an arms race that doesn’t need rushed. Yes I could get 5 star artifacts more easily and level characters beyond 70, but then the world enemies are much tougher too.
Tip on Ore Farming. If you have Ningguang, she has a talent where if she's in your party, Ore Nodes show up on your mini map. The radius where they start to show up is pretty large as well. You're welcome. 😉
I love Chili's I collect EVERY SINGLE CHILI SPAWN when one of them spawns again and rinse and repeat I have an overabundance despite having 30 of the jade parcel food at all times... sadly said dedication doesn't extend to crabs and the difference is honestly minimal

yeah, if the game give you a shit roll might as well reroll, I reroll mine once and it better than my last account and this new one will carry me far. Like I like my old account character, but at some point you will hit the Meta Plateau, which people dont know this, the meta is a think because it work. I dont spend 100 dollars a week to get constellation freaking 7 on a character. So you need to have a solid foundation in the beginning with the rolls. You will enjoy the game now, but later in AR 30 or 35 that shit hit you hard.
@@bera3972 what kind of question is that... ofc it will. Fischl and Venti are pretty much the best supports in the game rn, Qiqi is the best healer, but you need Level 70 on her before the big heals come in and Xianling has a very good AoE Ultimate and that bear actually demolishes shields if you have good elemental mastery. My team has Venti, Jean, Razor and Xianling and I'm sure its gonna be very good for a long time, kind of wish I could replace Razor with Fischl or Keqing if I'm lucky enough hehe
Really awesome tips, but it's been confirmed chests don't respawn. What you're seeing is that at certain AR levels, new chests spawn (sometimes in the same place). So if you're approaching an upgrade in world level, you might want to mark precious and luxurious chests to come back to after your world level increases.
If you're done with hunting chests and everything. Practice I-frames/dodging with some of the bosses, because at one point you'll absolutely get slaughtered by just a love tap from them.
Can’t even play for 15 minutes after resin gets capped. You’re delaying the inevitable if it takes you 4+ months to finish the current story mode. Yes, the new region will be implemented 4+ months from now.
@@hobbes3380 Great, it's a f2p game. I don't need to burn through it instantly. I haven't invested anything but the enjoyment I've gotten playing it on and off between things like my job and my other hobbies. It's nice to know that in four months from now there will be something new for me to hop on and explore with my friends and neither of us will have had to pay a dime for it. Don't treat this game like a job and it won't feel like one.
The problem is how hard gated character progression gets later. It's not as much of an issue now because the story content ends before you really start needing to grind resin and materials to level characters and equipment up, but when the story starts to reach adventure rank 40 (like say probably whenever Inazuma comes out next year or whatever perhaps), If you hadn't been doing anything you'll constantly be hitting walls. Like yeah, you don't need to play the game 8 hours a day, but you do need to farm an awful lot. And then on top of that they gated some farming behind resin.

I watched this guide when I started playing, I still made some mistakes such as not leveling my talents because I didn't understand fully how much it means (I'm a bit slow), but I'm happy I took to heart the tip about collecting as much as I can, it saved me a bunch of time already on ascensions! Now that I went on and watched more in depth tutorials, have more understanding of the game, I come back to this and it still serves as a really good reminder list so thank you for putting it out!
when I first got into liyue harbor and was going around exploring I jokingly went into the bank and was like "lol imma rob these bitches", went upstairs, found that chest and when I opened it I was absolutely shocked. I'd randomly found it and it was just an amazing surprise tbh
"It's gonna set you back for days" But set you back for what? There's really nothing that requires you to max anything out, and probably won't be for a very long time. I guess it's good tips for people who just wanna max out everything as fast as possible just for the sake of maxing everything fast... But otherwise there really is no reason in the game at the moment to optimize progression so much that it would turn the game into a job.
i think he meant that "it'd set you back with continuing archon quests" like you'd be stuck grinding to a higher AR just simply so you can continue a story quest or continue the archon quest so it remains interesting.

Being a mobile game developer, I imagine MiHoYo didn't anticipate or care about the pc and console gamers that play games for hours a day instead of plinking on their phones like normies for a few minutes. That, and the grind is deliberately long right now while they finish adding the rest of the game; which they arguably should've done more of before release.
Yeah, that's why many PC and console player triggered with resin system or any limitation. I mean, as mobile player i don't spend 24/7 grind the shit of my character unless i play competitive game like MOBA or EVE Echoes.
People who game on their phones are typically the most OCD gamers i've come across. They can't leave their console/pc without getting withdrawls, so out comes the phone to play the game on too. Gaming on a phone is the absolute worst experience.

I am here, a year after this video was made, to thank you because I am currently AR 44 and I actually reached it in quite a fast time, it really didn't take me long because I tried to play Dailey and during breaks I played for hours because I find it fun. But as a STILL relatively new player I didn't know these things and I was starting to find them out for myself and I just wanted to make sure I knew it all before going forward because I have friends who have their characters leveled up to lv 80 or 90 and ar lower then mine and I am here with a team of characters leveled up to level 50 something. These are good tips and facts and thank you.

Kaeya and lisa are nice together for super conducts and super conduct lowers the enemies's resistance to physical dmg for 9 seconds.Its a reaction that needs you to apply cryo and electro on the opponement
Idk know how to build kaeya and lisa but a idea is for barbara is full maidens (Maidens is short for maidens beloved,which is a artifact set you can get together with viridiscent venner in the domain 'Valley of rememberence')Im a razor main myself and he is a physical dps so i would say pale flame and or bloodstained,you get pale flame from a domain near dragonspine (i forgot which,it isnt valley of rememberence tho) and bloodstained is all the way in liyue so if you want you can get the teleporters ready for when your AR is high enough for these sets
A conclusion is basically
Razor physical dps (physical means with your normal clicked attacks btw) and for electro resonance
Kaeya to apply cryo on the enemy with skill and burst
Lisa for electro resonance,to apply electro with skill and burst
And barbara for healing
I dont reccomend that you go and farm that early,its worth the most at AR 45 bc you get garunteed 5* artifacts,also i think that you can actually get the sets i mentioned at around ar 30 or ar 35 i think ar 35
Dont focus on everyone but focus on 1 character aka your main (which should be razor)
Things to know about the characters:I reccomend leveling razors clicked attacks bc he is a physical after all
And as the very last,barbara's healing scales with hp so if you want you can also go 2-piece tendency of the millelith (its from the same artifact domain as from pale flame) and also 2 piece maidens beloved
I hope this wasnt to much for you too process and sorry for typing something so long but i hope that i was still able to help
Also dont burn through content,this game is still in development so take it slow and easy and dont immediatly try to get to the high levels and dont forget to prepare for future WL's,its a mistake i made at ar 40 so i reccomend you prepare for things like ascension stuff for weapons and characters

Don't cook unless you need to imo. Do it for the battle pass challenges and to master recipes for the achievement primogems but otherwise just hoard stuff if you don't know who will need how many. You might also find a world quest that needs something (usually just a handful so it won't run you dry of it, quick side quest if you already have a stockpile).
Lol i always farm those chili every 2 days at the valley. I love using jade parcels as food to boost my attack hahahahah. I have tons of them, thank God its required for xiangling.

@@bogdan926 agreed there are definitely dishes worth cooking. I just mean you don't NEED to. And if its a new dish you don't have a lot of an ingredient for because its a specialty like the chilies it can be worth not cooking it, especially if you realize you need them for someone's ascension.

yeah, i'm AR35 now and to be honest, monsters are now 20 lvl higher than any of my character, and i can't even beat them to get stuff, so just enjoy the game while you're still low lvl
Enjoy the game, later you're going to start taking care of your artifacts and even if it's fun too, everything is going to feel a little slower.

update 2 : just hit AR50 two days ago, world level 7, with two main damage dealers up my sleeves both at 2.3k and 1.8k at this time. Still need to beef up the last artifacts both with atk%. But im glad to say that lvl90 monsters don't intimidate me anymore LOL

take it easy and explore and collect as much as you can, it will make things easier later on
A quick summary:
1.) FARM YOUR DAILIES, this includes Daily Bosses, Comissions, etc. Don't skimp out on free resources you see lying on the ground, don't skimp out on the enemies because you can't be bothered to fight them. DO your expeditions, Get Ore, GET those resources because overtime, IT ADDS UP
2.) FARM TALENT ASCENSION MATERIAL WHEN U HIT AR 36
3.) Unless you're a Whale, SAVE YOUR PRIMOGEMS instead of using it for resin, saving it for when you're AR 40 becomes much MUCH more efficient as you get better and better rewards for the same 20 resin.
4.) Don't bother leveling your support characters to 70, prioritize your main DPS. YOU CAN ASCEND THEM TO GET THEIR PASSIVE TALENTS, ascending doesn't cost character EXP books but it allows you to upgrade talents, get passive talents, and a relatively good boost to your stats without needing to level them up.
5.) EDIT: Chests are confirmed that they do NOT respawn.
6.) Get the free Mora, bunch of videos regarding this but he lists down all of them so watch the vid.

it doesn't change anything, regen rate is still in place it would mean something if we refill full energy instead of just 60. The best and simplest way is to put refill to max resine and not just 60. Resin cap upped only allow you more time outside the game

I have no idea why people are in such a rush to complete this game. It's single player. There is no one to impress but yourself with your max level toons. It should be experienced at a much slower pace as a relaxation game.

@@kristopher4557 the thing is the tier lists are horrendous not because they aren't correct as a baseline but because it leads people to believe the characters they have suck if they aren't the ones from higher tiers... It blatantly isn't true this is a game where stat mods go up into the hundreds. You are going to have to make the best with what you got and not everyone has Diluc. Some chars are also easier to farm because banners so getting those 6 constellations will make that char surpass most 5 stars by default for having their entire kit unlocked. Honestly the tierlist really only works for dolphins and whales and really doesn't accomplish much else because this is single player PvE with coop elements here and there.

I dropped Genshin when I was AR30 and started picking it up again a few days before Inazuma started. I was playing blind and hardly did any quests aside from the Archon quests because the story was interesting, but then my friend who's at AR56 taught me so many things that I've been missing.
Edit:
Hello! I've returned 5 months later to share little tidbits for all the newcomers for the game! I'm currently AR55 so I've learned a lot compared to last time, *so here are some tidbits I'll note down in a much neater and simplified fashion:*
-There are 2 different leylines: Blue (for level up materials) and Yellow (for mora)
-Do not let your resin cap! Use them to beat bosses and domains so they never stop refilling.
-Invest into your character's talents, your power level will increase by leaps and bounds
-You can unlock all domains at AR45!
-Consider collecting all the anemoculi and geoculi as soon as possible to increase your max stamina. Use an anemoculus/geoculus detector to detect the last few ones you can't find, which you can craft once reaching a certain reputation level in Mondstat/Liyue.
-Genshin Impact interactive map will save you a lot of trouble when farming. Unfortunately, it's not linked to your genshin acc so you'll have to checkmark things by hand. Saving your progress in an account does help though!
-Consider investing in an NRE. It basically puts food in your hotbar spot so you don't have to open your inventory to eat food
-Regarding artifact and character builds, the general rule of thumb is to find artifacts with crit rate/crit dmg. Avoid flat HP (basically not HP%), flat ATK, flat DEF, and DEF%.
-Good crit rate/dmg ratio is 1:2
-Try and aim for at least 50% crit rate
-For geo characters, you don't really need elemental mastery
-For anemo characters, you definitely need elemental mastery (esp if they're supports)
-Read through your character's attack descriptions to see if they scale off of anything. If they do, invest into whatever they scale off of. (Ex: Barbara’s healing scales off of her max HP, so invest into some HP% artifacts)
-Watch some videos about building certain characters! Some characters have some niche builds and aren’t as straightforward as others, so look at what the guides recommend. Alternatively, look into an AR55+ acc and see what builds they use for their characters and use them as a base for your own character.
7 months later, AR57 stuff I've found out or forgot to add:
-On the map, if you see a white arrow on a pin to your destination, if it points up, that means your destination is above you. If it points down, it's below you.
-Overloaded dmg ignores crit, and scales off of elemental mastery. It ignores target's DEF but instead its pyro resistance.
-If you swirl an element, there will be an element that will be prioritized more than the other. The order is pyro > hydro > electro > cryo. Ex: If there are enemies that are inflicted by pyro and cryo, when you swirl, it will swirl pyro. Dendro and geo does not swirl.
-There is now something called an "attribute/talent reference" for your artifacts and talents! If you're not sure which artifacts to slot into your character or which talent to upgrade first, look at the top right of your screen and you will see the attribute/talent reference. For artifacts, it will show a recommended attribute slot for that character and artifact. For talents, it will show the recommended order to upgrade your talents.
That’s all for now! I’ll add more when I can think of some.

He did it in the video but apparently a lot of people don’t know about this: if you need certain enemy drops (like if you have Bennett and need treasure hoarder insignias all the time), you can track them using the Adventurer’s Handbook >> Enemies!

@@givinnatanlie4619 Because when the character drops that you want to spend all your gems getting, it will take 180 pulls potentially. That’s 29k primos. Less if you get lucky but the rate you get them at slows down a lot

Genshin can be called a Gatcha but it's still mostly an MMO. every MMO gets really grindy whether it's FFXIV or Destiny 2 or even BDO. every MMO differs but loses you quickly if you're not the type to grind out a game willingly. they're either boring at the beginning or boring later on in the game. there's no other way about it - when you want to play as a legit genshin player, you need to be prepared to grind this out and dedicate effort into it

You realize all the in game items like chests etc. All respawn within a couple days right? You cant run out of all the chests , theres the daily use of resin boss farming etc, I'm literally AR 36 and havent even completely the archon quests for liyue because I cant stop running around an exploring/doing other stuff, if you've ran into this point your on your game way to much

when I first started playing I was always getting everything I could find because I thought one day I might need them (one of the first things I did was spent hours in first spawn just getting eggs, crabs, plants, flowers, fruits, meat, and random stuff) one of the main reasons why I was leveling up so slow (ignoring story quests to get resources) but I'm glad I did lol
i did the arcchon quests first, coz i want to know the story before i go on my usual thing. But also as a late comer i had a hard time trying my best to get the spoilers out in the back of my head, it sucks

during my first 2 weeks in genshin I kept on picking up pinecones not knowing what it was for lol
So three general points:
1. Start expeditions for resources (do it first 'cause it's gonna take 20 hrs).
2. FOR LOWER LEVELS, use resin but DO NOT spend anything to get it back, let it recharge. (do bosses, domains, anything useful).
3. GO discover the world, GRAB everything (if it sparkles take it), KILL everything, LOOT the chests.
4. Have fun. (yes this is the fourth of the three, the most important)
Notes
DO NOT invest on a lot of different items
Mix quests in between No.3
Keep your fragile resin until later to maximize high level grind
Level up everything in your main team, levels, weapons, artifacts, talents.
Food helps a lot (wasn't mentioned)

Play at your time! as a AR 34 I was getting temped to rush in the game because of artifacts,characters and stuff and that´s slowly ruining the game experience, dont feel pressure about, give it a chance and enjoy the game as long as you can!
I will quite looking for this videos for a while ,until I feel really interested in the mechanics and theory, otherwise I´ll be exploring more of the game and learning more about the story. Good Luck!

Watching genshin guides are a double edged sword cause half the time, the people you’re watching play the game as their job, so they’re more hardcore and spendy about all of it.
Just take your time and enjoy it at your own pace
i once quit the game because of the pressure of being underleveled at high ar so i mostly watch these guides so i dont make major mistakes like that, just remember that its you who play the game and its you who decides how to progress in it. it's simply for fun :D

The (by far!) most important advice I as an AR54 player would give to new players is this one: Every item matters! No matter how much of one resource you possess if there is more lying on the ground pick it up! If you have 400 mint and you never needed them and you see one right in front of you COLLECT IT! There have been so many times I pillaged everything in my way and months later I suddenly needed 200 of that resource and I was so happy that I already collected em all. So pick up every item you find in the open world even if you think you don't need it rn. This goes also for low quality artifacts because you'll need em to level up your high tier artifacts.

CZcamsrs and their "NOW NOW DO THIS NOW" mentality is gonna kill this game sooner rather than later.
Yes there is stuff to farm but there is also time. 4'ish weeks to 1.1 and 2 and a half months to 1.2 minimum...
This is a not a sprint, its a marathon, getting stronger without anything to fight doesn't make mugh sense and if you farm now you'r only gonna not have much to do when new content comes.
Take it easy, play at your pace, don't grind and get burnt out.

The game has literally been out for less than 3-weeks and people are panicking about leveling up as fast as they can, so that they don't get left behind. The F2P people don't realize that most of these AR40+ players have spent thousands upon thousands of currency for the sole purpose of min-maxing. I have no problem whatsoever with progressing the game in my own leisurely pace. In fact, I'm glad there are people way ahead of me. That way I can be warned of shit I shouldn't be doing, like using a sword to breakdown minerals (LOL).
I mean most of the videos are about "if you do x now you're going to have an easier time later" kind of mentality, and they're not wrong. What's wrong with picking up some mats for characters/weapons along the way? If everything was timegated from xp to mats then it wouldn't be that big of an issue. Like you can only get some mats two days out of the week, like why?
Not everybody has fun the same way. Some people are fast and some other are slow, that is only your opinion, let people do what they want, like him or like me, because i do the same, and we have fun our way. And this is not an opinion, this is reality, do what you want and let the rest do the same

Agreed they do need some sort of reset book on weapons and also a xp reset book for characters we tested when we first started the game and wasted leveling materials on but ended up not enjoying them.
Even if it costed 500 primo gems to reset because of course they would try monetize this feature it would still be awesome and useful.

This game is designed to _motivate_ players toward p2w. I believe the tip for casual players is to simply _take it slow_ ; rushing toward gated objectives will only yield the frustration the developers desire so that wallets open up more easily.

Leveling up your talents was something I didn’t realize until AR 28 and it makes a big difference and I agree with leveling the talents up quickly as you ascend

I’ve been camped at AR35 for at least a month, avoiding the world ascension quest. This lets me build, level and compete with under leveled characters and still enjoy the game.
I’ll eventually move up, but it seems like an arms race that doesn’t need rushed. Yes I could get 5 star artifacts more easily and level characters beyond 70, but then the world enemies are much tougher too.
Tip on Ore Farming. If you have Ningguang, she has a talent where if she's in your party, Ore Nodes show up on your mini map. The radius where they start to show up is pretty large as well. You're welcome. 😉

Like I like my old account character, but at some point you will hit the Meta Plateau, which people dont know this, the meta is a think because it work. I dont spend 100 dollars a week to get constellation freaking 7 on a character.
So you need to have a solid foundation in the beginning with the rolls. You will enjoy the game now, but later in AR 30 or 35 that shit hit you hard.

Fischl and Venti are pretty much the best supports in the game rn, Qiqi is the best healer, but you need Level 70 on her before the big heals come in and Xianling has a very good AoE Ultimate and that bear actually demolishes shields if you have good elemental mastery. My team has Venti, Jean, Razor and Xianling and I'm sure its gonna be very good for a long time, kind of wish I could replace Razor with Fischl or Keqing if I'm lucky enough hehe

Really awesome tips, but it's been confirmed chests don't respawn. What you're seeing is that at certain AR levels, new chests spawn (sometimes in the same place). So if you're approaching an upgrade in world level, you might want to mark precious and luxurious chests to come back to after your world level increases.

@@hobbes3380 Great, it's a f2p game. I don't need to burn through it instantly. I haven't invested anything but the enjoyment I've gotten playing it on and off between things like my job and my other hobbies. It's nice to know that in four months from now there will be something new for me to hop on and explore with my friends and neither of us will have had to pay a dime for it. Don't treat this game like a job and it won't feel like one.
The problem is how hard gated character progression gets later. It's not as much of an issue now because the story content ends before you really start needing to grind resin and materials to level characters and equipment up, but when the story starts to reach adventure rank 40 (like say probably whenever Inazuma comes out next year or whatever perhaps), If you hadn't been doing anything you'll constantly be hitting walls. Like yeah, you don't need to play the game 8 hours a day, but you do need to farm an awful lot. And then on top of that they gated some farming behind resin.

I watched this guide when I started playing, I still made some mistakes such as not leveling my talents because I didn't understand fully how much it means (I'm a bit slow), but I'm happy I took to heart the tip about collecting as much as I can, it saved me a bunch of time already on ascensions! Now that I went on and watched more in depth tutorials, have more understanding of the game, I come back to this and it still serves as a really good reminder list so thank you for putting it out!
when I first got into liyue harbor and was going around exploring I jokingly went into the bank and was like "lol imma rob these bitches", went upstairs, found that chest and when I opened it I was absolutely shocked. I'd randomly found it and it was just an amazing surprise tbh

Being a mobile game developer, I imagine MiHoYo didn't anticipate or care about the pc and console gamers that play games for hours a day instead of plinking on their phones like normies for a few minutes. That, and the grind is deliberately long right now while they finish adding the rest of the game; which they arguably should've done more of before release.
Yeah, that's why many PC and console player triggered with resin system or any limitation. I mean, as mobile player i don't spend 24/7 grind the shit of my character unless i play competitive game like MOBA or EVE Echoes.
People who game on their phones are typically the most OCD gamers i've come across. They can't leave their console/pc without getting withdrawls, so out comes the phone to play the game on too. Gaming on a phone is the absolute worst experience.

I am here, a year after this video was made, to thank you because I am currently AR 44 and I actually reached it in quite a fast time, it really didn't take me long because I tried to play Dailey and during breaks I played for hours because I find it fun. But as a STILL relatively new player I didn't know these things and I was starting to find them out for myself and I just wanted to make sure I knew it all before going forward because I have friends who have their characters leveled up to lv 80 or 90 and ar lower then mine and I am here with a team of characters leveled up to level 50 something. These are good tips and facts and thank you.
