Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on CZcams, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on CZcams. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on CZcams, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

"The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" is a great album by The Black Crowes. Another great reaction, Shawn.

Cheers mate! Great content as always. As an old time fan I’d say Remedy is their best origanal track if you wanna keep listening. They also did a great version of ”hard to handle”, an Otis Redding song, on their first album. Keep up the great work man!

You've done a lot of great music so it's surprising that you've never done the Crowes before. They have a deep catalog and are a great band. This album and their debut before it are especially great!

Really liked these guys first time I ever heard em. Old Southern Rockers. Their first album rocks and their live album with Jimmy Page covering Led Zeppelin songs is a must listen too!

You're Steve Marriott influence is right on! They are also influenced by The Faces (Rod Stewart). Your next reaction for them should be "Remedy" from the same album.

It’s probably pretty unusual for this to be anyone’s introduction to the Crowes. Most people probably encounter them through the radio-released songs (Jealous Again, Hard to Handle, She Talks to Angels, Remedy), or maybe a slightly deeper track off their first album (Twice as Hard, Seeing Things). My Morning Song is a relatively deep cut off their sophomore album, although if you’re a die-hard Crowes fan, there’s a good possibility this song is in your top four tracks of theirs (along with Thorn in My Pride, Wiser Time, or maybe a few others (personally, my favorite track of theirs is Nonfiction off their third album, Amorica)).
They started their careers by really embracing a “main stream” southern rock sound and found a great deal of success that way. As the 90’s progressed, and light drugs turned into hard drugs, they took on a slightly darker tone and lost most of their casual fans, but developed a dedicated base which found their lives shows to be absolutely mesmerizing (long, extended jams, semi-obscure covers, and unique set lists). They dipped their toes in more radio-friendly music at various times, rabble-roused along the way, and imploded several times because the two brothers at the center of the band (or at least one of them) seemed dead set on destroying everything in their path, both internally and externally. They broke up a few times, usually for a couple of years while each brother attempted a solo career, and then reunited when it became apparent that they were always going to be a bigger draw together than separate.
They just released a new record in early March, and it’s reminiscent of their late 90s/early 00s output (probably better than Lions, but not as good as By Your Side). Die-hard fans were (at least) a little disappointed because they didn’t bring back any other former band mates (although Sven Pipien eventually rejoined the fold), but the brothers seem loathe to admit that the band was ever more than the two of them (and, fair enough, they did write everything, but, especially in a concert setting, those other members contributed magic to the live shows). I’m seeing this new incarnation for the first time in a few weeks, and while I’m really looking forward to it, I’m not expecting it to reach the exhilarating highs that a 1997 Black Crowes show could produce. Maybe it would be unfair to hope for that; neither they nor I are the same as we were 25 years ago.

Best band to come out of the 80’s - 90’s IMO. Their first two albums are phenomenal - I particularly like the second. SO many awesome songs in their catalog. Actually they just released a new album a couple weeks ago, but I recommend for your next listen another tune off the album you have now, called Thorn in my Pride.
