Running on treadmill at 7.5 mph for 12 mins is hard. I did 1.45 first attempt but I nearly died after.
I don’t care what anyone says this video did not receive the credit for the information included like it was supposed too. It’s clear and concise out the gate Info on how to improve your run X,Y and Z. Thank you for keeping it short and informative. I would love to see more content like this. Subscribed
Thanks so much 🙏 This is getting saved as 1.5 mile is my current main goal. Show off times to follow 😂
Love that mate!!
This is huge i have an airforce IFT in 2.5 weeks and my 1.5 mile is 11:02 and the standard is 10:20 hopefully if i put out these 2.5 weeks i can beat that standard
Good luck buddy!
Same with me dude I pass everything in the IFT just need to get my run time down from 10:55
@@colelandon1294 you got this thats completely doable and you could probably get it down even lower than 10:20 , im taking my own practice IFT this morning to see where im at and taking the official one next week.
@@vert8739 Did you pass?
@@justinnunez5217 oh yeah im shipping out 14 nov
Hey Harry, I wanted to ask a couple of questions about some of that because I’m still a bit stuck:
My first question is about the speed runs: if i’m doing 6 sets of 400m best effort (which like you said should take about 90 seconds) does this mean I should then take 90 second rest like the 1:1 ratio? Then obviously 6 sets of 90 second runs adds up to 9 mins which is the rough time I’d hope to finish ideally after training for that. Have I got that right?
Second question is for the tempo: Am I right to believe that I could do 9 sets of 5 minutes (so like a 45 min sesh), however with the five minute sets, should I be working in an effort of zone 2 still? if so, what zone would I work in if i’m in the “moving recovery” part?
That was a bit complicated to explain, but I hope that kind of makes sense ?😂
how days a week would you do zone 2 runs , tempo runs, and speed work?
Hi Harry,
Thanks for the vid! What will I need to bring to the military preparation seminar day? Change of clothes ect?
You'll be emailed a set of joining instructions over the next few weeks mate 👊🏼
Correct me if I'm wrong in the British army we do this in normal trainers. In the commandos do you run this in boots 😮
They stopped doing this at the cpc, kinda disappointed but cause I got my time down to 9 minutes 😭😂
how do i get faster fail my bleep test for the british army
How do you track your heart rate while running? How do you use a heart rate monitor outside?
A watch or a chest strap
Really wish you can explain this on a white board lol
Do they do this on CPC?
No mate not anymore but it’s good to have a good time under your belt anyway
Of course, thanks!
@@Harryshepfitnesscan you do a video of the updated cpc mate?
Do you have any tips to go from 15mins to 10 mins with 2 weeks time? I'm physically okay shape but my cardio sucks ass. I have to take a police test and the requirement is 10 mins
How did it go? I am having the same issue. Powerlifting to policing, I don't have the cardio for this test.
