They say you should never meet your heros. I did. And now Iâm at the start of a new challenge: five years to buy my dream car.
The Ford Escort RS Cosworth is my ultimate dream car. When I was five years old, I saw the ford escort rs cosworth rally car and feel in love with it instantly. I love the ford escort rs cosworth sound, the ford escort rs cosworth acceleration, the ford escort rs cosworth monte carlo and the ford escort rs cosworth exhaust.
One of my favourite things as a child was the WRC and Group A Rally Cars - and I still think the ford escort rs cosworth rally is one of the best out there.

While I fell out of love with Fords when the FWD Mk3 came along (after previously owning a dozen Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts), I can still completely understand the excitement and dream of owning one.

I am not a particularly wealthy man, but cars have been my passion since a young kid, and my ultimate dream car is a 911 Turbo (the original 930 widowmaker). While others had Ferrari's or Lamborghini's on their bedroom walls, I had a 911 Turbo.
All of my life (I'm 54 now), I have dreamt of owning one.
I have always scrimped and saved to own the best cars I possibly can, not wasting money on drinking, smoking, holidays, or anything really, so I could run the best cars I could.
I have owned a BMW M140i for the past four years, but today (yes 2pm TODAY!), I am picking up my next car. It is a 2016 BMW M2, one owner from new, 25,000 miles, and mint condition.
I'm 54 but I feel like a 10 year old again, I am so excited đ
One day I might just achieve my ultimate dream.
Mega. How is the M2? Would be cool to do a video of you with your M2 and capturing that emotion and then doing the same when (if) I do manage to achieve this

I didn't get a video but oh wow, I am absolutely buzzing.
It was 20 miles away from my home so I got to know it a bit on the way back, although, it was -2 degrees here and thick fog today, so not driving weather.
It is in amazing condition, and seems to drive with no issues.
I'll post a video of it when the weather picks up for sure đ
Good luck Tim with owning your dream car. I think the smart way to get your hands on a Cosworth is buy older nice cars now and turn them for a profit. 5 years yes you can do it.

Good luck. My dream car has also been an Escort but a mark 3 XR3i in red. I almost got one when I was 20 (Im now 44) but the dreaded insurance put a stop to it. Maybe one day I will get one.

@@OurTim they certainly are not nice to drive, I described it as slightly quicker 1.3 encore. People forget a good diesel would blow these off now. But looks wise they are mint đ especially that aubergine one in the video is beautiful. Lovely looking car .
My favourite ford I own a 1996 auralis blue one which I bought in 1997 with 2465 miles on the clock itâs now got 4286 on the clock
