    Good afternoon sir; I would like to thank you for posting this video tutorial, I bought my switch and a trim removal tool set, because I’m sure I will need those tools in the future, I followed your directions and within five minutes, it was completed.
    Please know that I appreciate your help in this matter, and have a blessed day my friend.

    Thank you so much for creating this video. My 2015 Ram 1500, 49,000 miles, has the 'off' position still causing the warning bell to tell me that the headlights are still 'on' - which they really aren't. Probably time to change it out.

    Great vid. Changed mine but now fog lamps don't come on I did buy the Mopar switch with the fog lamp indicator in the center button. I've heard there's programming that needs to be done at the dealership.

    Thank you for your videos! Hey, I’m trying to wiring in some rocker switches for auxiliary switches. I’d like to connect them to the power source for the dash lights so they only turn on when the dash lights come on. I don’t have the ability to hook up to the AUX switches on my truck because they didn’t come with any more to plug into. Can you help me find the correct color wire to tap into?

      MotorCity Mechanic i have a 2010 ram1500 with the steel bumper. Bought a 2016 painted plastic one piece bumper, and all of the parts needed to replace it. Took off the old steel bumper, but when i went to install the plastic absorption pad the fog lights mount to, I could not get the absorption pad to bolt up. Seemed like it wont work. I have been assured by many people it will work.
      I would love to see a video on how to replace a ram 1500 plastic one piece bumper, since there are none on youtube.

    Hey brotha, quick question . My ram truck didn't come factory with the fog lights but I just purchased a new bumper with fog lights I was told I would need a wiring harness and new knob for the fog lights to work is that correct ?

    Hello David, thanks for the great videos. I have a 2010 ram 1500 slt that did not come with fog lights. Could I use wire off bed light factory switch to control the after market fog lights? Thank you

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  Před 6 lety

      Have you checked to see if the wiring is present already for the fog lights behind the front bumper? Sometimes they come pre-wired and the install is pretty simple. Otherwise I havent tried adding aftermarket fog lamps. Some circuits will turn themselves off when they detected added current draw on these modern day vehicles. So its hit and miss sometimes.

    Thank you for posting this video. Sure looks a lot easier than what I thought it would be. I recently purchased a 2014 Ram 1500 and shortly after I took possession, I noticed the instrument cluster light would flicker but not always. Also noticed that when I would turn the dimmer switch all the way to the left, sometimes it would dim the instrument cluster light and sometimes it wouldn't have an effect whatsoever. Do you think that replacing the headlight/dimmer switch assembly might resolve these annoyances? Thanks again.

    • @MotorCityMechanic

      Its a possible cause. I do recommend checking for codes first before replacing it. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Make sure to subscribe.

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  Před 5 lety +1

      @@conenose1 You probably have.....I ask everyone lol, youtube doesnt make it easy to see who has and who hasnt. As far as checking codes....you will need a scanner that can access all the modules inorder to get all the codes if there are any.

    Just bought a 14' Tradesman dually 3500. No headlights in any position. Could it be the TIPM?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  Před 5 lety

      To early to tell. It would be just a guess at this point. Its going to require some further testing. The TIPM is not a common failure item on that year.

    I'm having this issue on my 2014 2500, the parking lights remain on in any position. I have to manually turn to headlights on at night. parking lights remain on even in off position and at night in Auto mode the parking lights are the only thing that work. Fuse or light switch issue?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  Před 7 lety +1

      It will require checking the system with a scanner that can access all the modules and also one that can read the data to see what the switch operation is doing. With the proper scanner you can see what each position is doing and reading to verify that its working fine and that there isnt an issue somewhere else. Otherwise you will be going at it blind and be guessing.
