- I hope y'all like epic underwater footage of bass! It was insane how lock-jawed these fish were! Even live worms could not entice them! A moving senko got the most attention but as soon as it stopped, they lost all interest. I think we've all had those days of bass fishing when we fish all day and catch only 1 or 2. We can see them on the depth finder and we know our baits usually work in the area, but for some reason, we cannot score a strike. This is how it looks underwater!
Keep trying new things and leveling up in real life!

Bass are crazy. You can throw a big fat juicy worm in there with no hook or line attached in any way, so nothing could be more delicious or act more naturally, and they act like it has leprosy. And then throw some crazy looking plastic creature with insane colors that looks and acts like nothing else on this planet and they will go absolutely wild trying to eat it.
Drive a man to throw all their gear in and take up knitting.
Bass adapted to fear natural prey if they seek HOOKS. Crazy looking prey normally entices them because it’s nothing like what they normally are attracted to.
More videos on this please I think this is so cool and I’ve had a lot of fun spring bass fishing myself and it’s so awesome to see them react to your baits

It does not matter what time of year or bait - I do not have fishing success. Some local guys who always have success took me along once - and nobody caught fish until I went home alone - then they had success. But I don't recall being around you this day.

Pulls up a fish from the water
*THAT’S A PIGGY*
Pro tip: downsize that hook and use a 4 inch straight worm in spring and/or in clear water. Also, in colder water, a little jiggle is much more appealing to them than the normal bigger jerking motion. You have to match their cold water metabolism which makes them really cautious about expending energy for a meal. Something moving slower, but with triggering action ( slight constant wiggle ) gets the job done more often than not. They're not "skittish" - they're just cold. :) Tell ya what though - like you, I would have thought that the live bait would have at least gotten a few bites. Pretty weird.
Man, I GOTTA get my fishing license this year. They barely just allowed fishing in my state. Great video man. Motivates me to go catch me some fish!

Yep, they were! I don't know about lakes where you are but around here in the spring we have about a week time where the fish go into total lock-jaw even though the weather is getting warm. My dad and brother went back to this spot like a week later and killed 'em!

Cameras actually hurts your chances when fishing. Of course they don't know what the camera is, but the camera gives off a light that we can't see that agitates them. My fish at home can tell if I'm using a camera on them from all the way across the house (a big house) and will hide or stop and stare depending on the type of fish. That's why you had 2 bass come strait to the camera. They were checking to see if it was safe. Once they decided it was, they went back to their business. It's a beautiful video, but they know you're there because of the camera.
BTW, thank you for respecting your catch. Too many people slapping gopros on fish for content.

Bass are pretty dumb, could’ve been the bait, time of year, but you could cast 5 times at the same one that you tried to set the hook on and missed. Eventually you’ll get it

Do you think I can use a GoPro 4, and can water be too cold for this type of camera? When you filmed the fish going after your bait, did you just drop the camera in the water? What kind of settings does it need? Thanks!

Well this was recommended to me only now, but I wonder how a Bobber would have worked with the baits, when they would be just flown in mid water directly? Would that have made any difference either?
