A few friendly advices from a fellow fisherman: That entrance is very bad. It should be made of much thinner,flexible but strong steel wire knitted together into a solid netted/honeycomb structure. The entrance you use should be sealed with knitted wire and a true one should be placed where your rounded up ending is, a vertical 'slit' like entrance . It would look as you cut trough the middle of the rounded part, one cut per wire strain down the midle then you bend the ends to face each other, that way the fish can easily squeeze in, but will be unable to escape save for small specimens we don't want anyways. Edit: Like this www.patuljak.me/kes/slike/397x338/93704_1.jpg Also, a lot of fish are getting a free meal as your bait drifted to the edge of the trap. Try using a woman's nylon stocking or a sack for potatoes, those net like ones and suspend it from the middle of the trap downwards.
