This is part 24 of the series (Boxes 106-109, and 54-57 YTD) and I do plan on updating it from each quarter box I hunt from this point forward until the Washington quarter coin collection is nearly completed! I will say in advance that once we get to a point where it is nearly impossible to add any more coins to the album, we will then halt the series and try to fill the rest of the slots with existing finds, junk silver hunts or coins in my duplicates collection.

Most commonly use coin in vending machines, now. I remember when bubble gum was a penny, now it's a quarter. I have couple running in barber shops, with peanuts and M&Ms. Generally I make about $100 per month.
I'm 11 and make $44 a month 👌good job tho

I haven’t found any good quarters lately but yesterday I got 64 wheat pennies out of just $10 in pennies! No rare dates though. 29,36,36,38,and 39 were the only older ones.

I found an absolutely worn to hell penny yesterday with an S mint mark. I don't have any pre-40s with an S so I know I need it... But the last two digits are SMOOTH. Nearly nothing is left. I've scoped it, my friend took pics with her HD camera. Our only conclusion is "it's either 1910-S, 1915-S, 1919-S, 1920-S, 1929-S, or... Something else." Haha.
The 10s and 15s do not have a VDB on the shoulder.( Didn't start until 1918).The other dates are notorious for weak strikes,where the date is hard to read.
If it has a vdb on the obverse near Lincoln's shoulder by the rim it's from 1919 on
Also variety vista has the mint mark styles. If you can identify the type of S used you can narrow it down
@@fireraptor6670 I can't tell but it KIND OF looks like there's VDB, so my first guess would be 1919-S due to the spacing between 19 and whatever comes next. Looks like the spacing between 19 and another 1.
@@RevanFan the 1919 S is one of the most common pre-40s S minted wheat cents. Chances are that's what it is

The best thing about collecting coins is getting a box from the bank at face value. No extra charge, all profit. Also, I use cash everywhere I go so I can get coins in change. For some reason gas stations and fast food restaurants have given me the rarest coins in change
Absolutely! It's good for us coin hunters when most people don't realize they gave out a silver dime or something of sorts. I work in the restaurant industry and always deal with counting registers down. I find so many cool things, like a 1901 Indian Head Penny! @@NewHaven203

Right on Rob! I thought I had a silver from the edge a few years ago in some change and turned out to be one of those plated Florida quarters as well - give no quarter as no quarter will be given- Hehheh 😎

I open rolls and not sure about die chips. I’ve never seen you show one,or am I just missing that part. The way you find them it’s like watching it rain. 🐎✌️
I have my best luck with quarters by going to the local car wash and putting in a $20 for change. It has been much better than bank rolls.

I sent 50 "W" mint quarters to ANACS at a pre-screen cost of $9 per coin, and I told them to slab the ones that are @MS60 and up.12 of them made an MS grade and the rest were AU (not slabbed). The 50 I found took me about 2 and a half years to find.
You should also write down of your YTD-Ws and compare it to years' past!
I haven’t found any silver quarters in forever. Found a couple Ws but it’s been tough for a couple months. Looking to hunt more half dollar moving forward.

Ohh, I got change at the car wash a couple days ago and got a w quarter in my $5 change
I did hunt some rolls today, the only scores I got were a 2009-D Dime, and 1949-D and 1957-D Nickels.
How do you get so many Ws??? I’ve been hunting quarters specifically for Ws and not really silver and I’ve yet to find 1 in 5 boxes. It’s so demotivating to hunt quarters when you don’t get a single find in 50 rolls!
I’ve gotten 1 in close to 2,000 dollars worth. They are super tough to get. If you have the time and money I guess they are not too tough to find.
I've been having the same problem with my Texas boxes. A couple of West Point quarters per box and no silver.😢

Have you ever found/do you look for the Buisness Strike S quarters? They are NIFC but i have found a few on circulation: Effigy Mounds and Blue Ridge Parkway.

You should start a running total of W quarters for each episode like you do with silver

Hey Rob, I have a collector question: I’m trying to sell some W quarters to a buyer soon and he asked me for a price, what is a good price for some bat quarters, a couple of River of No Returns, a couple of War in the Pacifics, and a couple of Tall Grass Prairies as well as a couple of Marsh Billings? All are lightly circulated to close to AU condition, thanks!
