- What is worship? For something to be worship, there has to be a sacrifice. If we want the fire to fall on our lives, we have to ask ourselves if we have laid anything of value on our altar? In 2018, I was a junior at UGA studying microbiology when I found out I was pregnant. I was a lukewarm christian and dating someone who said they were christian but didn't show any fruits of the spirit (like myself). I wrestled with the notion of abortion for weeks. As I wrestled with this, my boyfriend became more and more abusive promising to punish me one way or another if I didn't do what he wanted. It was May 2018 that I decided that all my hope was in Jesus. That if me and my baby were meant to suffer under the hand of my boyfriend then we would but if God wanted to keep us from the harm of his hand then he would deliver us. But that no matter what happened, God was still good. Things didn't turn into sunshine and rainbows once I chose to follow Jesus but I have not once regretted it. My ex's abuse got worse. He tried kidnapping my son from the hospital when he was born and has continued to force his hand over my family through court and insidious manipulation. All the while, my faith and hope only grows stronger. I only find more joy in the presence of the Lord as He brings blessings in the storm. Our final custody hearing is coming up once the courts open again and I pray God provides a great miracle. If anyone sees this then please add us to your prayer list. We would love a miracle for this life time but we also rest knowing that earth is not supposed to be heaven and whatever God allows is part of the plan for eternity.

He is still the father of your child. You should include him in your life when possible and bring Jesus and church into every relationship you have with him.
