      Great Content, But You Missed one Screw that vibrates Loose, on the Air Injection Shroud from Fly Wheel To Carb, that screw come loose and jambs up your fly Wheel, Mine stripped the thread out I had to use a longer screw, more thread in the screw hole, 25mm long screw required.

    Great video on how to improve longevity of a saw.
    Does the lock-tite application affect the warranty?
    I think it would be great to learn more about your business processes. How do you determine what you will bid for the timber? What are the things to look out for to ensure you're getting good value for your bids (don't overpay, can readily move your logs, how to cost the log removals, etc.) I'm a retired petroleum engineer and know that successful small business owners know a lot more about economics than some of us more specialized technical people might give them credit for (I know that successful small business owners end up with are a lot more wealth than us engineers that spent the better part of a decade in uni getting advanced degrees and working for major oil companies end up with, for example).

    • @Good.Fellers
      @Good.Fellers  Před 9 měsíci

      @@JoshNoss I had a brief conversation with him prior to shipping it. That saw is used strictly for bucking big boiler logs in X climate, with a 36" bar. I have him as specific details as I could, left the rest up to him. He was great to communicate with and I'm impressed with the performance gain. You know you've got ahold of something when you hit the throttle.

      @@tyharland1906 I bet! Those 395s gain really well and can truly put out the torque if that's what they're ported for.
      He's gonna be getting my 592 in January and I'm thinking to have him shoot for more RPM and HP and not so much torque gain as I'll probably only run a 24" bar and 9-10 pin 3/8" sprocket.

    • @axesandthings483
      @axesandthings483 Před 11 měsíci +2

      @@Good.Fellers same. I had maybe 3 hours on it and one of the bar posts fell into the oil reservoir… I think it was mis-seated from the factory. I got it pressed in correctly, and haven’t had a problem since.
      One thing, the 592 is a mean, aggressive saw. I had a 36 inch bar buried in red oak and I was still bouncing off the rev limiter. I had to dog in and pull a little to get the RPMs down. Guess the next year or two will tell if it holds up as well as my 390 has. The 390 is more sluggish than the 592 but it’s a rockstar. Always starts. Always runs. Never fails.

      @@JoshNossdo you ever watch Dyno Joe's channel? Every saw I've ever seen him put on the dyno starts falling on its face after about 9, 500-10K RPMs. Max hp is almost always around 9K - 9300K

    • @JoshNoss
      @JoshNoss Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@Mr_Clean Funny you should say that because Dyno Joe has now built 3 saws for me over the years, Just look at some of the more "race" saw builds he's done and you'll see the peak is up a few thousand rpm more. It was *his* opinion in fact that had me make this comment, that unlimited coil would allow you to get a lot more power from the 592xp and most 395s that really make the 12+hp numbers are the unlimited coil ones

    • @JoshNoss
      @JoshNoss Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@Mr_Clean you have to realize too that his dyno isn't like a car dyno, his goes from high rpm and then gets pulled down to stall speed like would take place in a cut. So if you're starting from 14,000-15,000 instead of 12,000 you'll see that peak move up considerably.

    O Machado e a Motosserra
    Eli Silva & Zé Goiano
    Composição: Moacir dos Santos / Zé Goiano
    O machado e a motosserra tiveram uma discussão
    Motosserra diz que é orgulho da evolução
    Machado pra mim já era pois vem do tempo de adão
    Você agora só serve pra fazer calo na mão
    Motosserra dá um ronco relou o dente no tronco já se vê o pau no chão
    A serra chamou o machado pra fazer uma porfia
    Machado aceitou na hora e quando chegou o dia
    Entraram junto no mato pra mostrar a serventia
    A motosserra roncava machado velho tinia
    E naquele matagal foi só cavaco de pau pó de serra que subia
    E esse grande duelo deste jeito é que termina
    Na briga das ferramentas o machado é que domina
    Motosserra parou cedo ali no tronco da quina
    Machado seguiu cortando mata grossa e mata fina
    Motosserra impotente rebentou sua corrente acabou a gasolina
    Que isto sirva de exemplo para toda humanidade
    E você que é tão jovem tem que saber a verdade
    Respeite bem os mais velhos não brinque com sua idade
    Uma pessoa idosa também tem utilidade
    É um diamante valioso se não tivesse o idoso não teria mocidade
