I have a 2009 Rouge..removing the heat shield was a little more tricky, than depicted here. I had to remove the radiator hose, and move the sensor wiring. And even then, the shield was freaking snug underneath the alternator!!! I had to use a lot of force to yank it out from there. Putting it back wasn't a picnic either. Modern car designers are sadists!!!

I have 2015 for PO128, had to remove the battery and removed the screws on battery holder frame. Got a surprise when I saw the (2nd thermostat) supposed to be water valve, coolant temperature attach to it. I only saw the gasket/frame. No springs at all. Assembly error at dealer.

@bug Den I found it for my PO128 on Nissan Rouge 2015 and there was an assembly error. I only saw the water valve frame and gasket. The spring assembly was missing(it cannot disintegrate-dealer assembly error). Coolant temperature sensor was attached to its housing.

  • @joselitotolentino8388

Had PO128 on my scanner. Thermostat replacement and coolant temperature sensor. Got Nissan Rouge 2015 SV. I've removed the 1st thermostat and the 2nd is water valve. Temperature sensor is attached to the water valve housing. I got a surprise when I saw the supposed to be water valve. I only saw the aluminum frame and gasket. No spring attached at all. Not sure if that's the original water valve or been replaced by the dealer
Yes, there's no need to dismantle the 2nd one. (Plenty of items to dismantle) It's a waste of time for a lot of work and $. It's just like washer with a gasket (Diagram showing a spring does not exist). Even gone to the dealer for the parts, They laughed and amazed(no spring on the new replacement part either, No purpose at all. Manufacturing error in their part.😅
