damn, i was afraid carlos nollie inward would disturb air traffic
Fr
Was the best trick Iâve ever seen!
lmao
Haha! I saw an interview with him right after this round and he said that he could see Neil armstrongs footprints on the moon when he was doing that trick.
I loved his switch frontside flip too.
Bruh I went from âDamn Carlos! Wtf Cody?!â to âDamn Cody! Wtf Carlos?!â Both of them are really good. Good game fellas
Felt like they didn't play serious enough. Cody likes to play the comeback way. Then it felt like Carlos threw game cuz he had to go home actually.

Good comment! đ€Łđ€Ł
Exactly! Hahahaha
@@ipo7596 nah you could tell he was making a joke, sort of implying he knew we was gonna lose.

Carlos - Hey, I actually gotta go home
Cody - Donât worry this will only take 30 seconds

He blew it
He threw the match

Absolutely. Hurts the brain reading all these comments on how Cody was just so ultra-skilled that Carlos didn't stand a chance... dumbasses.
@@ambientjohnny They are both very skilled no doubt, i'm just saying in my eyes it looked like he said fck it right after Cody went offense.. oh well though, onto the next!
Why does everyone think he actually had to go home⊠he was joking because he knew he was fucked when Cody got offense
Bruh nollie bigflip and switch varial?? Carlos can do those in his sleep. Felt like he just threw it
If Carlos could hardflip consistently he would have had a fighting chance
My man(with no letters) sealed his own fate when he said âIâve gotta go home, actuallyâ
On God!
His mrs royally fucked up his game by chewing him out for being out skating on the phone?!
"Let's go home" is a show wrestling phrase that you whisper to your opponent to signal that you want to wrap the match up quickly.
He tossed the game.
That Carlos Nollie Inward Heel tho đŻđŻ

@@ipo7596 actually felt the same
@@ipo7596 thatâs Codyâs style of skating and heâs won it before, he was just a little off this Game
@@ExtravigantTrickshot but it also felt like Carlos threw game. Maybe cuz he had to go home like he said. Some say that he knew he lose to Cody anyway, but why give up right away?
If youâve watched other Codyâs battles, heâs kind of always like that at least in the first rounds. Like the first round of BATB7 with Trent, he got T first, then came back after. Round two was a bit different, it was more like a really intense game with Shane OâNeill.
Then, when he battled Mike Piwowar (probably misspelled the last name, pardon me), and Luan (again) in BATB 8, he got to the T first. Like, being in T pushed him to do better.
Really wanted to see Carlos get through. He has such good style. Amazing comeback though. Well deserved, Cody!
Great game both have such clean styles that nollie inward heel was beautiful and Cody's hard flips are so clean
Probably one of the best comebacks Iâve ever seen

He is a former berrics champ, he looked a bit rusty in this battle
BATB = chunine exams
Carlos lost on purpose so he could go home earlier and never get back
As a spectator, this is basically the ideal game of skate, whether your guy won or not. Toe to toe by two greats.
Edit: I try to feed the algorithm with a positive comment, but I always forget how many joyless babies inhabit the comment section. No wonder Berra seems so frustrated.
it's far from ideal, in the finals you won't see a guy missing 5 tricks in a row for 5 letters.
Well, we ve seen different battles. This isnt the ideal game, not a chance đ
@@menopimezzo It's ideal in the sense that after that first kickflip you think "oh no.." then Carlos has Cody to T and you think he has it in the bag but then misses one set, then Cody comes all the way back for the win. Definitely a rollercoaster, unfortunately I wanted Carlos to win so he could break his first game curse lol
i understand your point, ideal cause it was a T to T with a comeback. But to be really ideal you cant have one of the guys missing 5 trick in a row. Also it would be more fun with one or two "crazy" tricks
waaah people dont agree with me youre my messiah berra I know your pain on that cross waah
"no doing tricks that slide on the ground if your opponent popped his trick"
Both of them popped all their tricks so that rule never came into play. No that rule does not mean if the person does a full 360 in the air, the other person has to. It just means they have to pop the trick.
@@a.julian3770 give an example, (except of a pop shovit) were that rule makes sense.
@@davidbroberg4646 I already did with your other post. Any time the guy on offense pops his trick (the tail or nose hits the ground) the person on defense must have their nose/tail hit the ground. They can't whiff the pop when they do their trick like people often do with nollie tres and other tricks.
@@a.julian3770 have you ever seen a tre flip slide on the floor? The tree flips Ive seen have always been in the air...
So why ad "DONT DO TRICKS THAT SLIDE ONE THE GROUND, ...." ?! The no sliding on the ground is what is important in the rule, not if your nose/tail hits the ground or not.
@@davidbroberg4646 Yeah I have. Follow skateboarding for a little longer and you will too. And yes, the nose/tail hitting the ground is important because that's what popping your trick is and the rule states that if offense does it, you do too.
Best battle so far. Liked it a lot
Cool to see Cody stage a comeback without resorting to double flips and crazy biggerspins. Very enjoyable game to watch.

about time you guys put a new battle up
I knew Cody was gonna come back the whole time he stays so calm in there and all the tricks he landed on offense were so hard
aight, 2 pretty cool things happened here:
-The straight 8:
First perfect straight 8 (both landing all 8 kick and heelflips) was Ryan Decenzo vs Shane O'Neill at BATB 5
Ishod vs Tommy Fynn at BATB 5
Joslin vs Gustavo at BATB 11
PJ Ladd vs Shane O'neill (Shane missed the nollie flip so only PJ gets credit for it)
-The comeback:
Jimmy carlin came back from 4-0 vs Sebo Walker at BATB 5
He won in 10 tricks
Koston vs Morgan Smith at BATB 6
Got 4 letters in a row after being down 4-0, but still took some back and forth before he won
Cody Cepeda vs Trent McClung at BATB 7
Perfect comeback, won with only 5 tricks on offense
Morgan Smith vs Spencer Brown at BATB 7
Although not as clean as the rest
Luan vs Tanner Lawler at BATB 7
Sewa vs Shane at BATB 10
in 10 attempts despite missing twice
Cody Cepeda vs Tyson Bowerbank at BATB 11
in 10 attempts
But he missed the first kickflip?
This is awesome
I was hoping the Trent McClung match would get mention. Trent had an unreal number of tricks but Cody was relentless
Carlos Ribeiro lands 16 of 22 72.72%
on offense, 16 of 17 94.11%
on defense, 0 of 5 0%
Drops to career 0W - 5L
Letter ratio 10 given - 25 taken
Cody Cepeda lands 17 of 21 80.95%

Maybe he was pissed about the judging? Cody, slide his 360, Carlos didn't.
@@davidbroberg4646 How is it we're this many years in to BatB matches and people still think this is against the rules. Doesn't matter that he slid the 360. He still popped it.
@@a.julian3770 so what's the point of the no sliding rule then? Don't do shov it if your opponent did a pop shovit. In what other case could that rule makes sense if one interpret like you.
@@davidbroberg4646 The point of the rule is exactly as stated, that the person pop their trick if the person on offense did. That is to say the nose or tail must hit the ground and you can't whiff the pop like people often do with nollie tres and other tricks.
