The ducks and geese have been a part of your videos since almost the beginning. Never give in and stop showing them. They're literally why you are where you are today.
I love it when you film the birds from ground level as they're bursting from their coops, eating, and interacting with one another. Yes, it's funny to watch (and always makes me smile seeing their undersides, legs and feet churning, as they run over the camera) but it's also interesting to see them at their own level, so to speak, rather than from above.

The silent videos where you just go about your day doing chores (with little to no dialogue), are my favorite videos. I enjoy the sounds of your farm, from the quacking of your ducks to the grunts of your pigs. So yes, I would also enjoy a video of just your ducks or just your geese. 👍

It's good to see that Abby didn't jump all over Toby when you put them together at the end of the video. She is getting a lot calmer and more respectful with Toby and the white chickens.

They were looking at the glass of the camera lens. Just like some wild birds will peck at reflectors or see their reflection in glass, the chickens do the same.

As a person with autism I could understand the argument for the geese being a bit hard to deal with. I think a good compromise might be to have a goose chaos countdown on screen perhaps ? I also think following goose chaos with chicken zen sounds like the kind of balance we all need in our lives hahaha

Abby is doing SO GOOD - even with an occasional supervised chicken lickin’. Maybe not ideal but since you were holding chickn and talking (to camera) her confusion seemed innocent and more like a kisses moment then a tasting.

I love the geese, chickens and ducks in parts of the vlog, especially when they are following you, it's too cute! Morgan, didn't you have Americana chickens aka Easter egg chickens? Happy to see ms. Just a note, squash and pumpkins (most melons really) have a bad habit of cross pollinating and making some odd half breeds. For animal feed it isn't a big deal but if you want to plant pumpkins again for other purposes I suggest doing a mono crop of pumpkins and not to mix in other squash type plants, or if you do make sure they are as far away as you can get. Pumpkins and zucchini in particular are voracious cross pollinators.
I’ve wondered about this - is it the next year/seeds you have to worry about or the current year’s crop?
@@nikkireigns in my experience it is the current year. When the plants flower they cross pollinated and we routinely got green pumpkins, and round zucchini mixed in with ones that looked correct. It does also change the flavor and consistency slighty. If I recall the more zucchini looking pumpkins were harder than the regular ones. As for the seeds I don't know, we've never re-planted from what was grown.
Spaghetti squash and zucchini REALLY like to cross.

I have Plymouth Rock chickens and Pekin ducks
I was thinking about adding to the flock this spring but I backed out of my decision.
I took a step back and look at the full picture
As we know homesteading can be overwhelming
And adding more animals can be more responsibility and financially burden.
This spring and summer I put all my attention into the animals that I have now and my garden that I doubled in size .Had a good harvest and shared my vegetables with my neighbor that were thankful for.❤️🐾🦆🐓
I vote that you share duck and geese videos as you like! I understand why some folks aren't a fan of the chaos but they can choose not to watch it. Just make sure to warn them with the title! Oh, and it's an El Niño year, so it's highly likely it actually will be a tough winter. Get ready!

Those caterpillars live HOW long?! What?! No wonder they're so chill whenever I escort them off a road. They're just like "oh hey human, I know what you are". They're a lot rarer than they used to be when I was a kid here where I live. I feel like I went over a decade without seeing a single one and they're finally making a comeback. Some pesticide must have really done a number on them.
I love your DIY projects. With the farm so advanced now, and the new barn especially, we get to see less of it, but it's always cool to see your problem solving abilities take shape :)

The sounds of the farm animals are music to my ears, especially the chickens when they are softly cooing, while the ducks and geese always make me feel a chuckle coming on until I burst out laughing unexpectedly. I like the sounds of the garden too, especially early summer when standing in my corn patch listening to the rustling leaves of the stalks flapping in the wind until a windstorm knocked most of them to the ground.
