The amount of infighting at this firm would cause it to collapse before they signed their first client. One of the most minor ridiculous aspects of this show.
There are companies with huge amounts of political games inside (e.g. some of the bigger investment banks, Citi, Big 4) but it's way less spectacular and ultimately is designed to juice the employee.

The Louis Litt Character is my personal favorite. It was portrayed PERFECTLY!!!!
I can really see both sides...both characters. They are each in the wrong and the right. Guess that's life.
Lets make one thing clear, they both have huge personal issues they only overcome at the end of the show, and thats why they are both right and wrong. If people got the help they needed, no matter whether it be small or big, there would be a lot fewer problems in this world.
Outside of Harvey reacting to Donna being missing in his workflow, I never felt he treated Louise or Donna funny once she worked for Louise. Always felt they were forcing his feelings on he subject.

Literally 1 minute into the Pilot episode when Louis reminds Jessica that he deserves to be senior partner instead of Harvey because his billables destroy Harvey’s and Jessica didn’t even dispute it…..she just did it anyway.
@@jonathanlewis7768 His billables don't go to him, it goes to the firm. It's short hand for billable hours charged to clients. It actually says nothing about the quality of a lawyers work or how much he personally earns, it only tells you for how long he worked.
Now if you are going out there to hire a lawyer and the only information you have is their billable hours, are you going to hire someone who will bill you for 50 hours or a 100 hours?

Jessica never valued Louis. Even Harvey valued Louis in every season after 3 except 5 but she never did
I do think she treated him unfairly. Even in this scene she basically treated him like a child when he was just arguing his case. Yes he was annoying, and little slimy at times but he actually cared deeply about the firm even when it seems like it wasn't reciprocated.

Well yes it is, but Harvey contributed way more to the firm than Louis did. He brought in a lot of high value accounts. End of the year that means more money for everyone. The interesting thing was that Harvey paid Donna from his own pocket. He knew her value and made sure she got paid.

This episode was amazing. Jessica reasserts her alpha position, especially with the legendary line "I will slap the taste out of your mouth". Delivered so perfectly that Gina Torres just reminds me why I have enjoyed every show she has been in! 🤣

She was great on the show! Though if you don’t want to watch for personal reasons I hear ya. At the end of the day she was well cast and played the part very well!
