The funniest thing is when Louis says "He deprived her of my letters", Harvey immediatly knows, he's not joking.
Harvey was right. In this situation they were playing different sports. Louis was the master of finance but now they needed the best negotiator which was Harvey.
The way I just saw it, his assistant did all the work. After getting the initial idea, it was just legwork.

the old Louis of season 1 would have never castrated himself over someone else's cat. kinda funny to watch, but things like this really made his character a neutered version of his old self.
