  • When you look at the most intelligent and mechanically gifted players in esports, it’s easy to spot something they all have in common.
    It’s not that they all look good hoisting silverware, or that they routinely produce highlights that make us question reality. No, it’s that the way they carry themselves in game, often mirrors how they act outside of it.
    They’re cool, they’re calm, and they’re seemingly always collected. They’re always in control no matter the situation, and can be relied upon even when the odds are stacked against them.
    Of course, we all love those trash-talkers who can add some much needed spice to our favorite competitive games, but there is a correlation between professionalism and success. And often, it’s those who show humility that conquer gaming's biggest challenges.
    That being said, there are exceptions to the rules.
    And perhaps no one embodies that more than Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp - the misunderstood, misanthropic manlet who recently hit Challenger rank in all five roles in League of Legends.

      respect to him. but he's still wrong about jungler being the easiest role though. a source elsewhere shows that he hit challenger as jungler with ~2000 matches, top with ~1700 matches, mid with ~660 matches, and support with ~440 matches so clearly support is the easiest of the 4 and jungler the hardest (not surprising). (no data on bot). not sure where the video presenter gets his data. he claims tyler earned challenger as top with ~2600 matches yet literally shows a visual of 1741 matches. meanwhile, tyler himself claimed jgl and top took ~2000-3000, mid ~900, support ~400.
      so, as good as tyler1 is, i'd still say he failed on his initial mission: to prove jungle is the easiest. if anything it proves what i've always believed, that once you hit a certain point in your main champ/role, learning other champs and role a little bit at least, will help you climb better than continuing to stick to your main where you're plateuing.

    • @shinjidai4114
      @shinjidai4114 Před 2 lety +41

      Yup, but it's mostly because top has a lot of the most frustating Champs in the game (those Champs that, if u give 1 kill, your in a big trouble, like fiora, irelia, Darius, Riven, etc etc)
      Also, you have to take advantage even if you're in a bad situation (Like counter match-up or being camped) literally if his jg doesn't want you to play, he can camp the toplane, and you can do nothing about it almost every time
      And even after that, winning the lane doesn't guarantee that you're gonna win, that's only 50% of the game, the other 50% it depends in 2 factors, if your teammates are brain dead enough to lose the game, or the enemy team it's brain dead so you can kill them before they can finish
      But the only reason I think top is harder than jg, it's because the matchups (the lane match-up) for example, in the midlaner you have bad matchups, but you can rotate and do something, you don't have to fight the entire game against the enemy mid, but in top... Well, if you're playing against a Fiora, and you're a tank, you're doomed, if you don't help your teammates youre doing nothing about your pick, but if you abandon your tower, we'll fiora its gonna take towers for free

    Yall seem to forget. Tyler got humbled the most. He was on a ban on site list and riot punished him. Not only that he peaked at one point. After he started doing other content and changing from a rager to an actual player. If anything tyler is like the bakugo/vageta of league. Im happy he got where he is, he deserves it.

    With the jungle challenge, he destroyed it once he just went braindead champs, like he did with every role pretty much. He straight up showed how easy the role really was and how the vast majority of all the micro stuff people worry about really doesn't matter. Sloppy timings, inefficient pathing, all that didn't matter when it came down to it.
