Always pessimistic Villa fan since 1988. So hard looking at fixtures now believing we should win. But that the belief Emery has breathed into me. No excuses, embrace the pressure and take it as it comes. My kids 13 and 11 are loving everything about this season and it really has made me fall back in love with football in a way I haven't for many years.

Back in the day Villa used to finish 6th regularly and it was never enough for UEFA Cup qualification. Any time they finished lower than 6th it was đą
If there is any karma Villa will finish in the CL positions but it won't be easy. Spurs are so Jekyll and Hyde it's impossible to predict their results. Hoping Arsenal give them a morale crushing slap!
In the end though whoever deserves 4th will get it.
Even draws could be useful. If we can get to the last game of the season with it in our own hands Iâd take it. Obviously prefer it done before then but just to be in within a chance of making top 4 would be amazing.

It is looking increasingly likely 5th will not be good enough, especially after Dortmund last night and Leverkusen likely to beat West Ham. Having said that I can't see Spurs getting above us with the run-in they have, they might beat one of the top 3 but that's about it. The Arsenal win has really given us a great chance of 4th anyway. What a mad thing to say? I never thought in my lifetime I would even be talking about finishing 4th. UTV

How much do we really need to focus on Europe knowing that we are guaranteed Europa league so is it better to bypass conference league as we have already achieved what the prize would give us ie europa league
So do we purely just focus on trying to achieve one step higher for that guaranteed champions league position at 4th rather than trying to win the conference league đ€
I think if we can win the next 2 games that'll be it - I know there are games in hand, but a 9 point gap is huge. Spurs have 4 very tough games out of 6. I think they may well beat Arsenal to be honest, but can they win any of those other 3 tough games? Not sure.
If luiz missed that pen I would be furious. The ref during luiz pen was disgraceful. He is won't leave him alone then is standing in his eye line. Then points. Then as luiz walks to the ball the ref walks to the ball too.
We've only lost 1 game away this calendar year against City. For me that's 6 points against Brighton and Palace and then I reckon we will scrape a win against Bournemouth and get a point against Chelsea and nothing from Liverpool

in typical arsenal fashion, I wouldn't be surprised if they lost to bayern tonight, then dropped points away to wolves, away to spurs & home to Chelsea. don't know how the coefficient is looking. Hope Villa gets at least 4th. 5th doesn't get CL and man United don't even get confrence league
is pep really all that. he didn't invent tiki taka. it's gone a bit stale. unai is superior. could pep take an aberdeen to winning European cups and besting rangers and celtic. could pep do what unai has done with villa, so seemlessley without tearing the place apart first. I think half the premier league can be crap, good on their day but arsenal for example the last 2 seasons have won a lot of games without actually being that great. imo.
