Kris, for the lighter "hack" I think the trick was to light the end of the tube with another lighter or a match while depressing the button on your OG lighter. That way the fuel fumes run up the aluminum tube and catch at the tip. Dunno if it works for lighters but that's essentially how a gas line works.

The reason the lighter thing didnt work is bc they used 2 lighters. One as a fuel source (the lighter with the foil in it, just holding down on the button to release gas) and one as the ignition to light the top of the foil end. What you had would have probably worked if you had used the matches as the ignition while holding down the button on the grill lighter.

For the lighter hack, just light the tip of a dry spaghetti noodle instead! It burns really small and slow, much safer than a roll of tin foil. Also keep an extinguisher nearby for any fire related hacks lol

yeah i don't know how those lighters she used work vs the one in the vid, but the one in the vid still shoots out gas from the lighter fluid as long as you dont use the striking wheel, so it just made the gas line longer i suppose

I laughed so hard at the lighter one. I think the whole purpose of that hack is that you extend the lighter with the foil and press for the gas to run through it. Then you light the end of it with another lighter/matches, because the gas will come out at the end 😁

Everyone skeptical of the light one, IT DOES WORK. The butane goes down the tube. Where Kris went wrong was she forgot to light the other end and relied on the flint wheel/spark that is nowhere near the other end. Rewatch the instructional video and you will see that there as well. Just clarifying.
