My oldest daughter told me she wants to live a 90s child life. She asked me how to go about that (I was born in the 80s) and my brain shut down for a second. so, about 7 or so years ago, I was at my best friends house for a Halloween party. They had a Bop It original (with just the bop, twist and pull). I was sitting in her kitchen, and I was playing the Bop it. At some point, I had zoned completely into the game, and I didn't notice that everyone else was also watching me. The speed increases when you do long streaks. I got to 99 before I fucked up when someone made a loud noise. Apparently, I kept the record on that Bop It until it died. No one was able to beat 99 and I feel like that is my greatest childhood achievement in my adulthood lol

When I was younger, my friends and I were playing a punch of spooky games such as light at feather and red door yellow door. After we played those games we played with the Simon says game. The same one in the video, well later on that night it was about four that game turned on and started making the noises. One friend started asking questions and the toy was answering back. I don’t know why I am telling you this but once I saw the toy memories started to flood, and I thought you might enjoy the little fear I have from that game.

She lives in Texas now. As a Texan, let me explain. That is a Mason jar. Originally used for preserving food, we also use them for drinking out of, especially iced tea. They make them with handles if you really want to be fancy. They are also a common container for moonshine.

i loved the Simon game, i prefur the reteo ones where it gets faster the longer you play I find it easier to remember then, the ones we have now that stays the same speed which drives me up the wall and I lose quickly. The juicy drop pop, you're meant t drop the juice onto the lolly that comes out of the bottom it meant to taste sour on it own. :D I remember having the push pop and if you don't finish it, it gets stuck and makes your finger sticky!!!!
Fun fact about those rubber poppers. A young physicist guy, who played with those as a child, wanted to make one of his own a few years back. He did, and during the process he was able to visit the inventor of them. The inventor stated that they tried many designs and materials, but when they put that hole in the middle, it would get more height. So, that hole isn't there for air. It somehow makes it bounce higher.

Kris holding the Bop-It upside down is amazing. They placed each thing specifically to make it ergonomic (like the Pull-It being at the bottom so you bring your arm down as you naturally would). Also, never saw those chokers with pendants on them 🤷♂️
I 100% had a choker with a charm shaped like a key that lasted all of a month before falling off 😅 still wore the choker anyway

Gameboy tips for you. Do Not Blow on the contacts. Check the contacts on the card and in the slot of the system. Clean with rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip after removing rust. Let dry before trying again. Blowing on cartridges and inside systems can cause rusting and dirt build-up. The fact that the system boots up and not the game could be the cartridge is not clean or loading. Old games have batteries in them. If it leaked, then the game may be dead. Hope this helps.

Basically you had a bunch of shapes and you had to put them in the correct slots but it had a timer and if it ran out, all the pieces EXPOLDED out! Many mini heart attacks were had.

The juicy drop has candy at the bottom :D thats why it has the little yellow loop. Take the candy out, then squeeze the sour stuff on it so it's sweet and sour 😊 my favorite was the Cry Baby and Warheads candy as a kid born in '93.

Nintendo handheld console collector and hobbyist renovator/fixer here ~ The reason 'taking it out and blowing on it' works with gameboys sometimes - it isnt actually blowing on it, it's usually that the first insertion was incorrect and the reinsertion was actually the key point of that motion :3
