    Nachniche Satv is the first thing which comes to your mind when you crave for something sweet, yet healthy. Goan Satv is made using 3 main ingredients - ragi, coconut and jaggery. Nachniche satv is made into a thick consistency and refrigerated to set like a pudding. Satva is also made into a light liquid form by adding more water and skipping coconut/cashews/cardamom and is fed to 6 month old babies.
    Satv is also eaten like a thick porridge by the elderly people by cooking it into medium(not very thick) consistency and skipping cashews.
    Ragi is rich in calcium, protein, amino acids and is gluten free. And hence can be consumed by 6 month old babies as well as old aged people. Ragi is also the most sought after source of calcium for lactose intolerant people as well as those who donot like drinking milk.
    This easy to make recipe makes yummy ragi pudding which can be refrigerated and stays good for another 3-4 days.

    Superbbbbb one for Summer!!
    १) Can we make this with readymade Ragi flour/ Ragi satva which we get in market?
    २) Can we avoid Coconut milk?
    Please reply... wanted to try it

      If you use ragi flour then you wont be able to extract ragi milk from it. Using flour would change the colour, texture as well as taste of this dish. Also coconut milk is a must for this recipe.

    Can we make it by using Ragi Flour & Dabur Home Made Coconut Milk?
    Please make a video if possible by using this ingredients.

      The traditional recipe uses whole ragi & fresh
      coconut milk & that is how I have always
      made it. I think, if you use ragi powder the
      texture, colour & taste would change because you cant strain the husk. I have no idea about the dabur coco milk either. May be you can try it out & see how it goes. 😊

    What is the proportion of nachni milk & Coconut milk

    • @bhukkadrecipes9569
      @bhukkadrecipes9569  Před 3 měsíci

      You can keep it equal. It will not matter as long as we take 1 cup fresh grated coconut & ragi for the recipe. Let the consistency of the mixture before we start heating and when we turn off the heat be similar as shown, the satva will turn out good. Even if water is a little extra then no issues, we would just have to heat & stir a little longer. 😊

    Hi.. Can we use black jaggery please reply soon as I want to make this thank you

    • @bhukkadrecipes9569
      @bhukkadrecipes9569  Před 3 lety

      Yes you can use black jaggery. I have never tried with black jaggery before. But I guess it will change the colour and you might also need to adjust the proportion of jaggery.

      @@bhukkadrecipes9569 Yes okay how much like and I have got Jaggery powder can than be used and how many cups? please reply thank you

    • @bhukkadrecipes9569
      @bhukkadrecipes9569  Před 3 lety

      I have never used black jaggery before so I dont know how sweet it is compared to brown jaggery. But I would suggest you to use a little less than 1 cup of black jaggery powder first, dissolve it and then taste the mixture to check the sweetness. U can add more jaggery powder if you find it less sweet. Do this before straining and heating the mixture to thicken it.
