Chrissy, I love your personality. Even through the tears, I was happy to see you still joke about your food arriving lol (food makes everyone smile). I went through something similar with a friend recently. Prayed the same prayer and I ended up blocked from everything when all I ever did was try to be supportive and uplift her. It hurt and I cried to, but its as you said. For growth, sometimes we have to lose certain people because God knows we don't have the strength to remove them. Please watch RC Blakes video "God multiplies by subtraction". I think it would help you to make sense of this. I lost my dad recently, going through a divorce, and lost some friends, but that video helped me to put everything in perspective. ❤️

We recently reconnected last year but it's not the same. Hopefully you girls can work that out sooner than later so you don't lose so much of each other. Cuz it's mad hard finding new friends. I thank God for my husband, but I be wanting a friend!! 🥺
I felt for you when you were crying during the conversation about your ex best friend. I lost my best friend back in 2018, I went through the hardest time of my time then. When the dust settled, I realized how much I missed her and I cried so hard. It felt like a breakup and I never really grieved the loss of the relationship. We tried connecting after that and I realized she was a different person all together. Needless to say , we aren’t friends at all now but I hope she’s doing well. Sometimes people are only here for a moment! I cherish that time we did have together, I needed her then way more than I need her now.
Girl I got emotional when you mentioned your best friend. I have a best friend that knew everything about me, that was and still is my sister, we did everything together, best friends for over 20 years, high school, 10th grade. I also “mommyed” her and was exxtra protective, always the one to reach out… and since 2019 we have not been the same. I love her, but I understand we really had to grow and go apart. We check on each other from time to time, but we are not who we used to be, and that also means who we used to be to each other. There’s a level of acceptance that I have gained for the past few years and I have grieved and life is good!

Thank you for your content! I never think of Target for my plus size clothes (3× - 4x) because I rarely find anything modern lol! I do love Target for the black-owned products especially as of late with the Juneteenth merch. Also, love Target's customer service and curbside. However, they really need to hear this video because they have to do better by us thick girls!
I was friends with my bestie for 18 years. And she stopped talking to me out the blue. It hurts, but I feel like if that’s what she needed for her life I just have to accept it. We never argued or anything. I just looked up one day and I was blocked. Just keep moving forward and growing.

Girl, I recently went through the same thing with a friend of mine I’ve had for 14 yrs. It will be hard and as much as we love them, I completely understand what it means to grow separately. You could be loyal to her in a heartbeat but make sure it’s the same in return. In my friendship I was always giving mentally and physically. I’ve always been the “motherly” friend and at times she wouldn’t
tell me things cause of it. I go on to say, that people we want to grow and stay with may not be the people God has for us to stay with. You have to wish her well at a distance. First of all, I’ve been slacking on consistently commenting on these vlogs 😭 working on it, But I’m always tuned in and I’m always drawing inspiration from your content!
Secondly, I can wholeheartedly relate to your situation with your friend, I’m just recently coming to terms with a 19 year friendship change, she was my soul sister and is now my sister in law. I think I may have also leaned on her for emotional support more than she had space for, and it really taught me to honor the boundaries others have set while learning to create and enforce my own.
We recently reconnected and She revealed that she had just been having a really hard time coping with her personal struggles, on top of being a wife and mom and just closed herself off as to not project that energy onto anyone else. As a mom myself, I understood.
Separating from her for that time really helped me to channel my energy inward and focus on my own betterment. Maybe your friend is just needing space to prioritize her healing, but in the meantime I would still reach out and send your love and support!
At the end of the day, you still have to protect your own peace. You deserve to be happy, and have healthy connections and a quality life, and you don’t have to press the pause on that for anyone or anything ❤️ love her from your own space and it will come back around if it’s meant to!

Chrissy omg its like we going through the same. I miss my bestie sometimes, we "broke up," a year ago an I miss my nephew and us talking and bullshitting. An my other bestie I think we are at that point too where I have to break away I was so dependent on her and now I can't do that. I gotta grow!! It definitely hurts to be stretched but it’s so necessary! Pray for help to be able grieve and move on because holding things is a trick to keep you in mourning past the appointed time. I have had to grieve people who are still in the earth but who were no longer a benefit for where I’m going. Be led in every step even if it’s one that you don’t like. If it’s God that told you to take it then it’s for your good. I pray that anxiety and depression are NOT your portion and the peace and joy of God are your promises🙌🏾🙏🏾💕

I started getting emotional when you started talking about your best friend, me and my bestie had a falling out a couple years ago and we didn’t talk for year but I’m thankful we did come back together because a couple months later I lost my mom. I feel like God knew I needed my bestie because I definitely I wasn’t prepared to experience losing my mom without having her there to help me through it ❤️.. it’s perfectly ok to take a break from a friendship,sometimes it’s needed but booooooyyyyyyy it definitely feels like a divorce lol
Hi Chrissy! This is my first time commenting on a video but I thought I would share my story with you in the hopes that you see it and it helps.
I had a best friend for years similar to you that was very protective of me in my relationships. She remembered every bad thing a partner or ex of mine ever did and she held grudges. It all kind of came to a head with my last ex.
I had forgiven them for something and decided to move forward and try again. But she didn’t and her overprotective mindset led to overstepping and crossing a line. I confronted her about it and she got so upset because she didn’t see it as being overprotective or out of line she saw it as me picking my ex over her and forgetting about all the hurt she was there for me through.
It got really ugly and I told her that I had forgiven my ex and that I needed her to forgive as well as crazy as it sounded it’s really what it felt like. She took my pain on as her own and it felt like she needed some kind of closure but it wasn’t hers to get. We ended up just one day not speaking to each other again.
Here I am happily married to my ex she hated with a child that she claimed to always want to be the God mother to, without her who genuinely was my best friend by my side.
We have to be careful when we have friendship and relationships in general. People vent and need a helping hand from time to time but people also need a ear and just a ear because they are free to change their minds on how they feel and what was said in the past. I wished for a while she would reach out and see my point of view she never did. I told her how I felt and she never understood after expressing myself I chose not to reach out in my mind the ball was in her court. She never reached out and I decided I loved her but we would never be friends again. Some lines shouldn’t be crossed and if they are the person who crosses them has to own up to that to move forward.

i watch you all the time but don’t really comment. I just love how full of life you are it reminds of me of myself. But i am going through a really hard time right now - dealing with an abusive ex in court right now it’s really difficult. I just pray it all ends. I had a lot of friends like good people I could trust call anytime & i drifted away (abusive relationships take over your life & you hid yourself from those around you) even my family didn’t know. Lately i have been opening up to people about what happened & what is going on. I have even been trying to strike up conversations with strangers which is hard for me as I don’t trust people easily. One thing i have learned is you have to be a little vulnerable approachable to meet new people. Lately I have met the nicest people even this older lady at the laundromat lol. Even though we are at completely different stages of life we related on a lot of things - especially telling me about her younger years. Anyways keep your friends close, don’t be afraid to meet new people but trust your instincts- they will never steer you wrong. Keep enjoying your life! I love watching your channel!
