Hello, I have a question...I am a currently an F1 Visa student, and i got accepted for further processing in the DV lottery (I am ready to file DS260 and hopefully get an interview appointment). My question is: Will it be "tricky" to fill DS260 as an F1 visa student? I mean, these are two different visas and the intents are different (one is a non-immigrant visa, the other it is...) How should I approach this situation? If my hometown US embassy see I filed a DS260 as a lottery candidate, will my F1 visa (and future visas applications) get "jeopardize"/nullified/rejected for renewal in this case? Hi I got my interview on the 7th June 2023 at the end of the counselor give me 221g slip I have not my MEDICAL examination and told me go to for your MEDICAL examination and send it via courier service or online I send it when I checked statues of my case it shows refused the date is change few times now I checked statues of my it shows invalid case number. Please advise me???
My yesterday it was interview in this embassy I got visa in Dv lottery but in my passport in embassy he told me to create UStraveldocs you will get returned passport but when I go to traveldocs CREATE there is DV Lottery option for visa selection is not available. Kindly tell me which option is DV lottery selected still waiting for your response FROM PAKISTAN
Consider a man and his wife. The man met his wife when she already had 2 children who are not his biological children. They both apply for a US Diversity Visa and the wife wins, does the man still need an adoption decree for the two children? Also, while applying for the Diversity Visa program, does the man need to list the 2 children as dependents?

There is apparently a new process now, where you can apply for your Social Security number with your Green Card application. Once you have entered the US, you will likely need to go to a Social Security Administration office and finish that paperwork. It will likely take a few days to weeks before you get your Social Security card, which allows you to work in the US. You can interview for jobs while waiting, but they won't offer you one until you get that Social Security card.

If you already have F1 visa then you are fine. Getting F1 visa after applying for DV Lottery can be tricky
