I was born and raised in Mississippi but my grandfather, who I loved with all my heart was from Massachusetts. Your accent and voice reminds me so much of him that I cried.❤ Thank you
Man! I paid $99 for mine. It's a great heater. Who knew I could've gotten a slightly busted one for less than half of what I paid and fixed it in five minutes? Oh, well - now I know how to dig around the guts if anything goes wrong! 😂 Terrific video!
I have one. And now it’s stop turn on. It’s actually acts funny if I slam or kick it’s turn on. I will definitely try your way. Thanks for video.
How can you fix rattling heater bulbs. Appears just very loose fitting
Thankyou for the video. I have dr.infrared heater. What is the best way to clean the filter Thankyou .
I have this heater - turn off the heater first. Then, pull out the removable screen on the back (there's a little handle on the bottom) and vacuum it. I find a brush attachment helps get everything out. The instructions say to do this monthly. HTH -
Great video. I have the same heater and the same symptoms. I tried what you found, but didn't find anything loose and ultimately do not know what's wrong. Stumped!
You may need to get a multi-meter and start checking thermo switches
Could someone tell me what that thing is a 6:34 at the top of the screen? Looks kind of like a wire that runs into a tube and at both ends appears to be some kind of stud that is riveted into. Looks a lot like a resistor. The heater I am working on has those on it. When I tap it with a screwdriver the unit kicks on. Sometimes it will work for a while. Is this something that can be soldier.
Looks like a pair of thermal fuses. Might have a bad connection at those rivets, I'd advise against soldering as soldering will put enough heat into a thermal fuse to damage it. If one or both measure open with a meter you can buy replacement thermal fuses, the temperature is usually marked on them. If replace a bad one, cut the wire at the body of the fuse so you leave the existing bit of wire and use a crimp connector to join the new lead to that. You can cat the end off any crimp connector to just have the barrel, stick both wires in and crimp it. [edit:install it so the leads lay like they currently do, you don't want "tails" sticking up or out for a variety of reasons]
I wish i could disable the standby button, why is it needed? Its stuck on and now no heat.
Why is the brightness fluctuate?
Hey ron, were do you but most of your stuff from in your videos? I love your videos so much that I just wanna go buy some of these things and try it out for myself.
Lot of stuff I just have, a bit of a packrat, also as a homeowner so something is always needed to be fixed. (:
Yeah you want mine mine's not a hot glue fix and I think it was around a hundred bucks I've had it five years I think I might get rid of it
Bummer, probably just need a new main board or heater unit.
Thanks Ron
My heater doesn’t have the reset button, what can I do😢
Hmm, well it should it could be a thermo switch that has to be replaced instead?
Great job
Yes It pays to Check it out!
Hi Ron, what does an error message E2 mean?
I had an older unit that had this code and it was a breaker on the back of the unit also it was full of dust,
Awesome
Haha you a lucky man
Other than aesthetics are these any better than the $30 1,500 watt plan jane heaters?
I have 2 that run 24/7 for 6-7 months -- for 2years as of right now (im setting next to one right now lol)
So yes, for about $100.00 get 3 .
Which model?

You didn’t run into any issues? I ordered from that same link December 2019...it’s fried 4 different outlets & I had to finally call it quits on the heater tonight...looking to buy another but I don’t want this same exact issue happening
Check your plug & outlets to make sure there isn’t any burning or melting...look at the the reviews on Amazon, I’m having the exact same problem as most the reviews about the burning
