- Hello and welcome back to another video from Chelmswood Junction.
In this video we are looking at the gifts I received from my dear wife and daughter for my birthday back in April 2022.
The Dapol HST-P train pack and Dapol HST-P Mk3 coach pack are a very nice set with perfect decoration and paint finish.
Unfortunatly the only issue i have had with the HST-P power car pack is the blanking plug actually feel out of the position it should of sat in but i managed to put it back and up and away it went.
I am sorry that i said at the end of the video ATP i ment to say HST-P a slip of the tounge and as you all know i dont do any editing on my videos apart from putting the video together.

Happy belated birthday Peter I turned 54 in April ,blimey ,I wish they would do a prototype HST in OO ,a few years back the NRM was talking about such a model but nothing since ,all the best regards to all,Mark 😊👍🏻

Yes this would be a brill set for any 00 gauge modeller who loves there hsts I would suggest that people need to get onto hornby or dapol to do one.

Very nice birthday present Peter! and Happy birthday for April 😁. I also have the prototype HST but the other version, not had it out of the box yet. I'm hoping to be able to swap the bodies over from one end to the other, so I can use the preserved power car as a dummy and run it with other locos in it's preserved form. One day I'll get around to it LOL! All the best Tony.

You will not be able to swap the bodies over as I found out when the blanking plug fell out there are wires attached to the chassis that power the lighting in the front and rear of the power cars and there fixed in place.

@@chelmswoodjunction Cheers Peter, in that case I will just have to make a dummy diesel to run with the set instead, I'll just have to find a preserved diesel I can model 😁

@@chelmswoodjunction I reckon I'll get there in a few years (£) too much OO to stop that, plus I don't want to, just there's the slippery slope of all intercity 125's sets in N gauge I'm avoiding atm lol
@@mangleytown the price of oo gauge now is one reason why i have switched to n gauge but the main reason is i have moved house in the past year and i havent got the space like i used to have but hopefully soon i will be able to go up into the loft of my new house and start a big new n gauge build.
@@chelmswoodjunction space is an issue here too since we moved, but I love my collection too much to do anything but add to it and suppliment it eventually with N, but agree, prices are getting crazy 😪
