    Mixed feelings over this, my uncles an army man (kings Royal Hussars) but my interest has always been in the RAF. He knows and seems ok with it lol.

      It was a special series of matches as they weren't able to play Inter Services matches this year (no Navy available). They chose to focus on playing in the North.

      The intent is to move League to it's heartland in order to build a crowd. It was a good day, with junior age group and women's hand too, all with the bar open. Looking forward to next year already.

      @@JammyDodger45 played Army colt rugby Union at start of 80’s as a junior leader then hundreds of games for many many more years while in the Army with plenty of punch ups taking place & never ever any incidents resulting in disciplinary action being taken after the game. Out in 2000 so could b different now days but not back then. You just got stuck in & had a good beer afterwards all together having a laugh about the game.

      I love both codes profusely. Ball in play is at least 65% more in League. 50/22 and goal line drop out kicks this year in Union came from League. Maybe watch both and appreciate them the same.

      @@robw7676 What about us who are outside of the UK? From both Rugby codes I prefer League. For I know I will get a more entertaining match more likely if I watch league.
      If you pull "I must be a simple guy" card out. Then I will invite you to watch Finnish baseball and try to figure out how it is played. What are the players doing, what is the strategy etc.
      I just enjoy the many sports that are in the world. The best thing about it? You can choose what to watch. Be it American Football, baseball, basketball, aussie rules, football, hockey or any other team sport there is. Or watch individual sports like boxing, MMA, track and field sports, tennis etc. Best thing is I can choose what to watch. Insulting someone based on the fact that they watching one sport just sounds ignorant
