- Pro-Palestine students in the UK looking to emulate US counterparts have so far failed to reach the same levels of enthusiasm.
A few tents have appeared on the University College London campus in central London but the efforts of campaigners here have been hampered by low numbers - and poor weather.
Protesters in Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds have also set up tents outside university buildings.
Students at Goldsmiths in London forced their way into the library where they barricaded themselves in.
Rishi Sunak is to summon university leaders to Downing Street to discuss the safety of Jewish students amid warnings that pro-Palestinian peers “replicate scenes of hatred from US campuses”.

The Dean of the college or university also has the civil right to tell any student that sets up tents on campus grounds and impedes other students from studying will be expelled. Let’s see how they keep that up when the deans have the balls to stand up to them. Also some of them are demanding that Isreal universities do not cooperate with the UK. What have Isreal students done wrong? Do our students only look to stop the killing or have more sinister objectives such as hating Jews and Isreal citizens. These students would blend in great with the Iranian leadership team.

Perhaps most students are more bothered about studying for their upcoming exams, and want to avoid being arrested which will smash their career prospects, as most won't work in the media and politics.
