Before and After The Full Kitchen Transformation with Timelapse of Our Passion Project
The kitchen was always going to be our favourite transformation
But in the end it was also the biggest transformation too
3 months ago the kitchen was a dark space with old tiles , no units , the walls needed to be redone , electrics , plumbing ....
On this vlog you will see how far we have come from the day that we started this transformation
We did try many kitchen shops before settling on this grey kitchen
Then it was about finding the right kitchen handles in the end we found them where we didn't think they would be
The Kitchen reveal is something we hope you will enjoy as much we did rewatching this vlog
The last 2 days we have been going non stop putting the kitchen units together and its time to show it to you all !

The kitchen is absolutely lovely! 🤩That’s the largest and longest kitchen I have seen, it won’t look as big once all the furniture and table in the dining area. I can envision A breakfast nook maybe with stools and a little couch somewhere. It’s very different. I’m used to seeing cupboards on top but that beautiful stonework you don’t want to cover that. A dream of a kitchen! So many drawers, beautiful flooring, counters, and rock wall. Love the open feel of no upper cabinets. The lighting is fabulous Edd! You and Anna are a lovely couple.

With the cabinets in, it really makes the subtle grey in the natural stone more obvious. It all blends together beautifully.

Love the grey cupboards & drawers.Great kitchen job ,Ed & Anna. 10 years ago I painted my cheap kitchen cupboards a dark charcoal grey Semi gloss Bhers Evening Hush & I painted the toe kick baseboards & the counter edges a wonderful deep cranberry color called Oxblood. the cheap knife gouged countertops got 6×10 white ceramic tiles. Since then, I noticed I was an accidental trendsetter? 😊 Even Martha recently updated her kitchen look to charcoal grey. I enjoy the color so much that I painted my home made (With my brothers help) pine China cupboard the same Semigloss Evening Hush. It a great place to display my resale shop finds Haviland. fine China in the Blue Garland pattern the Cupboard has 4 shelves to display dishes and hidden under the Black granite serving area & a black silk scarf is 2 large shelves to store additional dish sets & etc. I enjoy the way candle light reflects on the beadboard backing also painted with the Semi gloss Evening hush. I'm still in STYLE for once in my life😊

Oh that kitchen is very special Edd and Anna. Anyone would love a kitchen like that. So much storage with all those draws and bench top space and that oven and stove top is just gorgeous, rustic but modern. The lighting is really good Edd and well those, little windows are so unique and one of my favourite parts of the kitchen. Everything is just so specky, all done to a very professional standard. The colour choices of walls, tiling, floor and walls, bench top, cupboards, handles I think would be to most peoples taste and I know that I love it all. Such a shame about the last draw but these things happen at Ikea just the same here in Perth Western Australia as you can imagine how long we would wait being on the other side of the world. You both can feel very, very, proud of yourselves. You didn’t just renovate but you started from scratch and it was just so much physical work and it looks wonderful. When completely finished with the little wall and dressed it will look like a show piece. Yes watch out Dan, take heed Ed and Anna are hard to beat. I got hooked on Château renovations by watching their utube channel first of all when Angel and Dick finished their show. Now my husband enjoys watching them as well 👍. He’s even learnt a few handyman skills from watching the vlogs as he likes to do everything himself, if at all possible.
When you panned to the stove and the two cabinets , I just said “wow”, it looks gorgeous !! , the kitchen is huge, but has a cosy feeling, so beautiful, please tell us your keeping it !! Congratulations to a lovely couple ❤️

I've spent an entire year gutting and doing all the work - plumbing, electric, refinish tile & lay new floors, install cupboards and sinks appliances bathroom fixtures, gutting walls to studs, dry walling taping finishing and painting, new windows. Everything! I cried for 2 weeks when I moved and it took me years to get over it. I felt like I left myself there. I can't imagine how you are ever going to be able sell your passion project. 🥺😢

'Beautiful restoration these Chateau's have an aura of their own. I love vintage homes, not these modern buildings that cannot hold the test of time. The work you are doing is obviously a lot but the rewards will be great. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Your kitchen is looking absolutely gorgeous! There is one thing I would change though. My kitchen cupboards also has “feet” with gap in between and I am going to change it now and add a runnerboard/kickboard. The dog’s ball, the runaway carrot disk, the cherry tomato, etc needs to be retrieved with a broomstick flat on my tummy!

Wow! You did a beautiful job. Very clean, crisp, and functional. Such a lot of hard, hard work, but it is worth it in the end. I even learned something new about tiling. Clever little devices those leveler devices. Also, the pool and back terrace are stunning.

Love, love, love what you have done with the Reno project…well done. If you will allow me, I would like to make one suggestion….repaint the window coverings in the kitchen to the same sand color as the stones. I think it will bring your design together. Take it or leave it…just my two cents…and again let me say, job well done! Congrats.
I thought it was just me, but I agree that the white shutters look a little too stark and was thinking maybe painting them the same colour as the cabinets or stone would look better. But I guess it comes down to personal aesthetics. Repainting them is a small job any new owner could do if they wished. Plus, once the kitchen is styled with bowls, baskets of fruit and a pop of colour etc, they probably won't draw the eye so much.
Overall, the kitchen is absolutely stunning and I could very happily live with it as is. The colour of the shutters wouldn't be a deal breaker at all. What Ana and Edd have accomplished is truly to be congratulated... and then some.

Just a thought, those spaces at either end of the cabinets, might you do floor to ceiling pantry/storage cabinets for canned and dry goods in one and brooms and cleaning products etc, in the other.
