    Problems
    We Had Problems and Edd was upset as he wants everything to be perfect
    But sometimes it isn't possible as it is out of our hands
    The Path was one of Edd's favourite parts of the renovation , sadly the joy reaching to this point has been taken out
    The guest apartment renovation is coming along
    At the start of the vlog we had a small video of how the build was 2 years ago and lets just say it has come a long way ...

Even with less than ideal product, you’ve skillfully installed to achieve beautiful results; Impressive! I also admire you taking a filming break to ensure time for you & your family 🥰

    The lines are perfectly acceptable in my opinion. Nothing is ever perfect!

  • @radiogramgramophonetoons5802

  • @Ldyrev1
    @Ldyrev1 Před 2 lety +9

    Uneven tiles won't be a problem. You're a perfectionist and you see it but try to remember an older home has to have character. You've done amazing work and a tile askew here and there just adds to the charm of the older building. I think its still perfect. Beautiful in fact!

      @amyschneidhorst1384 Před 2 lety +4

      Edd's comments about the uncalibrated tiles really illustrate how anyone as precise as he is will have to be tolerant of all the imperfections that come with construction, whether your own or that of paid professionals. Most of us would not have even noticed those imperfections in the outside walk, but he always will.

    I fully understand the problem with the sets, I bought 30sqm of reclaimed hexagonal tomettes which looked fine in the pics, but on arrival were from three different manufacturers three different colours, sizes and thicknesses, I was committed to using them, which took three times as much adhesive and three times as long to lay 😶 consequently joints varied from 3 to 15mm and uneven throughout, but since grouting friends have said how good they look, so I have stopped looking 😉...

    Ed is an absolute genius at any endeavor. It looks as though the transplanted tree (is it a crepe myrtle?) has fungus. If so, Neem Oil is a good remedy. It's organic and functions as an insecticide, miticide, and fungicide, so you can use it for many purposes.

    Downy mildew maybe on your tree, shortage of water at the roots. Give the tree lots of water for a few weeks, may help. It may lose leaves but will survive if you keep it watered. ( if that’s what it is), great work.

    Hello Anna and Edd,,,
    The white dust on your little tree could possibly be Mealy bug.
    You can treat it by spraying the leaves down with mineral oil. Be sure to get it checked out with an actual nursery to find out what it is because mealybug can quickly spread to all of your other plants in the area. Once it takes hold it is very hard to get rid of. Keep up the good work! A+++

    Ed you make it so interesting and love to hear the detail and reasons you do it that way. Looks fantastic.

    Beautiful stone - love the colour. Personally, I love the imperfections in the stone, it looks more natural, but I know it made a lot more work for you. You’ve done such a fantastic job. Well done guys👍😊

    Crack on! I was very happy to see the most recent video. The paving is kind of amazing. The cut out for the tree is nice. And, the replanted tree is nice to see. I am glad you replant things. Thanks again for sharing all of this. Best!

    The driveway looks awesome ❤️ Have you guys considered using your guesthouse as an AirBNB rental when done? It would be easy enough to make it a keycode entrance, and would help towards the cost of your passion project, so you can keep it?

    Ok Edd I’m a grandma and although I love to see you and Anna, it is always special to see Charles and Emma.
