Upper: Helcor Abrasion resistant leather, fullgrain leather and Nufoam lining. The Helcor Abrasion resistant leather is specifically designed to be extremely durable against rubbing, scrapes and scuffing. The upper is segmented into 4 independent zones for the most flexible fit to accommodate narrow or wide feet as well as high instep and low instep feet. The moldable heel counter doubles the heel hold for a secure fit.
Outsole: Lake Competition 100% Carbon Fiber Sole with Mountain Race X real rubber sole.
Closure: Dual Side mounted Push/Pull IP1 BOA® lacing system with releasable lace guides. The dual BOA® closure system offers even more adjustability than a single BOA®.

So how does one go about heat molding the heel counter?

You put the shoe in the oven @ 200 degrees for 5 min., without the insole. After you put the insole back in, push the sides lightly around the outside of the shoe to mold the heel. You can do this up to 5x max.
