The sapphire is an amazing car and I think it looks great. It’s also cool you can reverse charge other Evs with it lol. But I think for the money it’s out of most people’s budget and a plaid track pack is about 3x cheaper and has almost the same performance. But I do understand the build quality of the lucid is tiers better than a plaid. I’ve actually been thinking about buying a used plaid since the market dipped so hard.
I got me a used one with warranty just to do ride sharing. Takes me about 3 days for the car to pay for itself on that side gig and the rest of the month I have a free 4 door sedan with supercar performance that drives like new @90K miles and battery in very good condition.
If he's paid for this or not is an argument in itself, but importantly, all the people in the Automotive Media have to the dance of being nice to cars, lest they get blacklisted by car companies. And BTW, that Lucid is awesome. Drive one around a racetrack and you'll have to change underwear by the end of the first lap.
Aerodiscs were designed to aid cooling by creating a vacuum in the wheel itself (low pressure) that is then sucked out by the high pressure wind moving past the vehicle.
Correction, lucid don’t make the battery packs for Formula E now. I’m an engineer for the company doing the gen 3 battery’s for Formula E, it’s called WAE, previously known as Williams advanced engineering. Atieva did however do the gen 2 battery packs from 2019-2021.

The best part of EV’s is they don’t make any noise. I don’t need attention while driving on the street. Too many airheads with Sazall exhausts cured me. One too many cold start videos of straight piped Lambos had the same effect. Just like my cars to perform; and my old ones are a bit noisy, naturally.
Really? Drive an old 930 911 Turbo, you can't go up a hill without turbo boost because the engine is at 6.5:1 compression ratio. Great levels of engineering, indeed.
