Fstoppers.com owner Lee Morris surprises his father with a photograph of his dream car, a 1968 Camaro convertible in hugger orange with white rally stripes, on Christmas 2013. After giving him a picture of the car, he gives him the keys to that very car.
We are starting two new CZcams channels. Soon we will be moving all of our live recordings over to the new "Fstoppers Live" CZcams channel here: czcams.com/channels/JxlKgtWbX9tKicPEYiRSOw.htmlfeatured
I am also going to start up my own CZcams channel where I post stuff that I am interested in that isn't photography related here: czcams.com/channels/CUyEJHX1wLFkkE-ZkfjB6g.html
We'd appreciate you subscribing, and we plan to start releasing new content soon.
The picture looks like cgi lol
Good son....
My tablet broke with perfect pictures of muscle car like a 1993 mustang and a lot of super rare hyper cars
You are an awesome photographer and this is the second video that I’ve seen today about a son doing something for his father. You guys really made me feel good because my father is dead and I would’ve loved to of done something like that for him but you know that time is past but just seeing how you were able to in life do something like that I thought that was just the best thing ever I mean it was just so cool. You rock. But on another note how is it that somebody would not like this video🤔🤷🏾♂️
What a wonderful gesture. What a wonderful son. Thank you for sharing.
He probably knew something important was on when you put the mic on his sweater.
LOL. Cameras, sound man, lights, producer, car transporter reversing beeep beeep beep beep.
No, dad, it's the neighbours. More egg nogg?
sabre22b hahahahaaa
That's exactly what I thought
When he saw the picture he knew what was coming
@@mehwhatevs5622 not if he mic'd all of the family and pretending he was doing a Christmas day documentary. Come on folks lighten up 😅
I feel like Dad keeps talking so he doesn't start crying. I love how he goes on and on about it... Soooo sweet.
Yeah, just the way I would react for the same reason, hahaha!
he says "It just firs me"
Definitely looked like that to me. If he stopped he'd start blubbering like a baby lol
His friend painted that car with pure love. That is a very special car filled with love.
People who speak the fewest words sometimes, have storms of emotions going inside them. This gesture from his son would've meant more than anything else to him as a father. Kudos to this duo!
Well said Arun.
So true
you can really tell that he's genuinely excited because of how much he's talking about the car and repeating phrases- my dad is exactly like this, and even though there isn't an abundance of emotion there's still a level of excitement that is evident by the amount of explaining going on
the fact that your dad is like this too makes me concerned as to how your profile ended up like this 😂
@@cruzjacknife8699 ikr lol
I’m the same way, I just talkreallyfast and repeat things
Luna? Oh Worm kukisongg
Yes, I agree 10000%. Eve emotion is there. It just doesn’t come in the form of curing. Every person is different, ever soul is different. This Dad appreciates this gift more than anyone ever could
Hahah guys calm down. Alot of men from that generation are this way. I've never seen my dad tear up my entire life. It's the way they were conditioned. He will probably be emotional when everyone leaves.
He sounded fucking stoked, not sure why everyone's making a big deal lol
I’ve seen my dad tear up one time and it was at my uncles funeral, after everyone left.
I only saw my dad cry when my grandma died a few years ago and never again, he is not very demonstrative but well neither I am
yeah sometimes men are uncomfortable showing emotion, is just the way we are raised and trained by society.
absolutely right
"the older i get i know how important family is and specially father"
Wisely said.
Shout out to all the father's around the world who do so much for a family.
They are the actual silent guardian.
A spot on comment..
You know Dad's a real one when he's talking about the RX-7
I honestly expected more....but I then reminded myself that "old school" dads didn't show a lot of emotions...they just hunkered down..... did what they had to do for their families...and worked their asses off.......usually without complaints...
I miss those days.............
rwest1833_MGTOW exactly
All on the inside.
Gentle giants they are
rwest1833_MGTOW now the millennial are very sentimental 😭
You miss the day’s when men where put in the light of masculinity so much that they couldn’t even express their own feelings without being paranoid of being made fun of or just the fact that they would just say suck it up. That generation grew up with a lot of problems that’s why a lot of them where/are alcoholics cause they have no other coping mechanism because it’s just pushed back in them
“It’s my dream car”
2 min later: “I never dreamt that this would happen”
This comment is underrated.
After paint close to 40k*
Hahahahaha
@@cody181818 not even close. The only Camaros fetching six figures are COPOs and Yenkos.
😂😂😂
You know you did something right as a father when your kid buys you a car. Very cool moment to share as a family, lifelong memories.
Lee, you have all my respect and admiration for this that you have done, as a 61 year old father, I can imagine your dad's feelings, he will never forget this.
It's disappointing that everyone needs uncontrollable crying to see that something mean a lot to someone. He literally said he's overwhelmed and speechless after getting the car.
Uh don’t insult that mans RX-7 picture boy

Your dad is such a sweet humble guy. 💜
Just the fact that a loving son would wish he could make this dream come true would be enough for me. Congrats to this dad and son.
Are you disrespecting the dorito rotary Jesus rx7
never ever disrespect an rx7 that camaro got nothing on a full tuned rx7
Laurence Manangan you’re brain dead
Laurence Manangan any car that is fully tunned can beat a stock car especialy if its 41 years old, also for a old guy like him an old american muscle car is much better than those tiny japanese cars in terms of comfort

I am very jealous of your relationship with your father.
You are a great son.
“I need to drive it around the block

And he didn’t even have any shoes on! 😊
That Camaro turned out lovely! Your dad is a lucky man.
"Now we have to get rid of the RX-7"
Holy shit this guy already owns my dream car.
Called it a piece of crap to I don't respect him jk but still
same lmao :(
really, your dream car? Wow
Lol I have an LS swapped RX8 and I would trade that pos in a heartbeat for a 68 camaro
He doesn’t understand how rare an rx7 is, it’s a blessing to have one 😰
Prostate cancer is also pretty rare, and I'll bet he's glad he doesn't have that.
its not THAT rare, i have pretty much the exact same car

How could someone not like this? I’m all about family. That’s the strength in you. I wish my father was still around to give him his dream truck.
Of all the videos about Dad's or Grandpa's getting their dream cars - this is the one I can relate to. My dad would never break out in tears like a lot of them do. He'd be like "Ok, this was not necessary, but OK." but you could tell he'd be completely overwhelmed.

Sadly my father died a few months ago. He was really into NASCAR. I know if he were alive and healthy that he would've shared in my passion. My mom always told me stories of how he loved his old jeep and how he would always wash it, take the doors off on weekends and cruise around town and how he ordered super rare imported wheels for it. One day I'll build a jeep exactly like the one he had and take the doors off every weekend and cruise around town.
Bailee Herring thanks Bailee. Unfortunately not. I was building a turbo car but I gave up on the project. I will be helping my sister build her jeep as both a tribute to my dad and for her sake. :)!
Keep your head up, I can tell you were a great kid
To have and that he's always proud of you
You are the BEST son ever! What an amazing gift for your father!
Made me cry. Great job son, for your dad.
Me hearing him describe the Rx7 and just waiting for the Rx7 fanboys to go off on him. Loool
That was very beautiful,, you are a good son. Your dad is a plucky man.
Dorito engine for life my guy
They simping on a car. Never thought I'd see the day
Son: does a beitiful thing for his dad
Comments section: how dare you diss the rx7?!?!?!!!!AHHHHH
Well sorry, but the kid clearly doesn't know his cars. He acts like the RX-7 is a clunker and not a true sports car, when nothing could be further from the truth. The FC & FD models are widely considered to be Mazda's most successful sports car (with the RX-8 coming in 2nd).
Car enthusiasts are naturally going to watch this content, so expect them to be pissed off when he insults Mazda's most iconic sports car. He may as well been trash talking Toyota Supra.
sixstanger00 its not a great sports car. They need 20-30k worth of work to make the 400-600hp you see people in youtube videos driving. The factory rx-7 is really nothing special. You are talking at most 255 hp, 0-60 in 8.2 seconds. So don’t give me this crap that the rx7 is a great sports car. With 20-30k of modifications, yes, but straight out the factory, forget about it.
@@AbsoluteyAmerican Power and 0-60 times isn't what makes the rx7 special.
vale46 what makes it special because straight out of the factory, there is nothing great about the rx-7. Low hp, okay suspension, not great on the track. Nothing special about it.
@@AbsoluteyAmerican First, its an iconic Japanese car along with the supra mk4, r34 gtr, the nsx, and the 3000gt vr4 that were made in the 90's. Had similar handling and power(due to the gentlemens agreement between the Japanese manufacturers), had a unique engine in the rotary engine and was lightweight because of it. That's a special car.
As a former photographer for French hospital I enjoy so much the surprise you did to your dad! Thank you for this very special video. My best regards from Thailand where I retired.
You are the best son a father could have. Your photography is great and the car is beautiful.
"Blah blah blah, that reaction was like unbuttered toast!" Well I'm sorry I didn't know that everybody in the world was supposed to react the same way! The man was obviously very appreciative and speechless, but he's not some basic jumping around all over the place. Btw kudos to you for being a kind son
He says multiple times in the video,"I'm speechless." He wasn't so excited as his mind was simply blown. He was flabbergasted and that was how he showed his appreciation. Those two words, which meant much more to his son than us were,"I'm speechless."
Wow what a friend! What son! Must have been some kind of Dad! Congratulations to you all!! 👍
Man these vids get me every time...miss my Dad
Beautiful beyond words. Not everybody cries, some of us just say thank you and smile.
Ummmmm I will take your RX-7 sir

Just the way he keeps looking at the dashboard and wheel. You can see it then he still can't believe this. He was really happy.
Really happy??? He has a funny way of showing his happiness...
To do this for you dad tells us what a wonderful dad you had.
Bless him , he really didn’t know how to react, you could see that . Some ppl cry but he was in shock , honestly I’m sure a few hours later or maybe even not till the next day it suddenly really hit home , you can see it’s not truly hit him yet . Brilliant

People tend to forget that he comes from a very different generation where men were expected to be tough and to not show too much emotion. He's happy and the fact that he's trying to play it off should be enough evidence that he's ecstatic and proud that his son bought him his dream car.

This is the classic old school reaction. I love it it's just how my Dad was, even myself. To me it's real it's sincere. So much better then the hysterical drama filled emotions. Good job and enjoy that beautiful car.👍
He seemed as excited as getting a pair of socks,

Many people how are in shock don’t cry he was probably in shock of happiness

Thanks for doing this for your Dad. I am one of many who were with you and your Dad as you photographed this Camaro. We were with you as you journeyed thru. Thank you

By giving him what he desires the most... it shows that you are a grateful, loving 🥰 and caring son❣️❣️❣️
He couldn't stop saying he was speechless and overwhelmed. That's clearly how he felt. What an incredible gift!! This video is awesome!!!
All you guys cribbing about dad's lack of emotion- imagine how great of a dad he was that his son got him this. It's not about jumping up and down for 3 seconds of internet fame that counts, it's about the decades you put into raising a kid right that makes you a dad. And this dad has done all that and more.
This is awesome ! Your father would never forget it...

My dad is like this too.. I’ve bought/surprised him with expensive gifts that I knew he would love and he just gets kind of weird and talks/smiles a lot. I’ve never seen him cry. I’m his daughter, so I can tell when he is genuinely happy/thankful and that’s all that matters. I’m sure this is the exact reaction that his son was expecting from his father, lol.
Only father to not shed a tear over a dream car presented by his son.
A dream come true for two........................... AMAZING..... SO HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH...... LOVE IS SO POWERFUL...... MANY BLESSINGS..... DAD DRIVE THE HECK OUT OF THAT GORGEOUS CAR YOUR SON MADE COME TRUE....... I CRIED MY EYES OUT BY THE WAY.......................................
Young Man, God Bless you. Your Mom and Dad definitely did a great job raising you.
A dad crying is the most emotional thing a son can witness, and it is all so relative in this world. My family went through hard times and my dad was always struggling to make sure we don't realize how difficult we had it. We were so poor that we barely could afford a computer and it took a lot of saving to get a 486 back in the day, with Windows XP and my parents kept using it until recently. My brother and I bought both of my parents a laptop each so they wouldn't fight over the PC. That's when my dad just lost it and cried like I've never seen him before. When we asked him why he's crying he said I struggled all my life so my kids get away from the poverty and I never wanted anything else in return. I'm not crying because of the laptop, but because it finally seems like my struggle is yielding results, for my kids to buy me something they never had when they were growing up and something I couldn't buy them when they needed it is breaking my heart... Now that is real joy. Here, what seems to be a well off family, makes a commercial video of a successful photographer buying his dad a rare and expensive car and the dad is not looking that excited, but the son made sure he advertises his business once more at the end of the video... I don't know, it's all relative, but a 300 dollar laptop in certain situations can be a more emotional and intense gift than a 5-digit price tag car. And I'm sure relativity goes the other way and some dads will cry for even less in material terms, but in emotional terms way way more.
This was bad ass no lie , our dads are price less and to make them happy and think of them before us is awesome
I had 2 RX7’s in the early 80’s. Loved them very much.
I had 2 67s, a yellow and a blue...in between, a 65 Corvair...miss them all☺ Very happy for the dad here!
Im sure he knows his dad enough to know he doesn’t express emotions like we expect. It doesn’t mean he’s not ecstatic about the car.
You think? Why then at the beginning of the video he says, lets see how he reacts?
Lol so legit his first drive was barefoot😂

Yeah that's was pretty cool. I knew he wouldn't care about shoe's. 😎

dude...you are one special son... your daddy will never forget that moment...and it will live on with you...
I've watched dozens upon dozens of kids gifting their parents vehicles over the years and this is probably one of my most favorite. The time and effort that went into it all was great, the actual story moved along at a good pace - and of course the car looked outstanding. Great job!
What a son..you will remember this moment long after your dad is gone one day...until that day the joy you and his dream car will bring him is immeasurable...Your love and time and effort you went through for this gift shows us all what a great dad you have to raise a son like you!!
I am so proud of you, your father must be an amazing man.He raised his son right, thats for sure. The look on his face warmed my heart. And for you to bring his dream to life, let's me know you are a very special young man.Blessings will follow,I assure you.

Shucks, you made me cry! Great father and son! You warm my heart!
I don't understand the comments, he seems very happy to get the car and is excited.
He didn't seem incredibly excited, but I agree he was very happy
Definitely happy. We've been taught through CZcams vids to expect one specific reaction. Every person crying, even the dog, lots of hugging and touching, overly dramatic music, maybe an oscar worthy slo mo segment, perhaps a quick mutual fondling of the balls when no one's looking ? lmao. Apparently any other reaction is fake and contemptuous.
@gilbert martinez no, men n that time period were taught not to show emotion, so it's natural for him to be stoic
He reacted in the same way most people would if you got them a pair of jeans or something for Christmas, i've gotten plenty of gifts / given plenty of gifts (that were obviously much, much smaller) that received much bigger reactions. I know giving gifts isn't done for the reaction, but if that's your definition of excited then I guess we have very different experiences.
I'd be torn in this situation. I'd be happy for the car, no doubt, but I wouldn't have wanted my son / daughter to have spent that kind of $$$ on me.
You are a good son.
