Della, I used to be a mechanic and did a little work on a 56 Chevy BelAir with super charger. I wish I had taken a picture of me in it. I want to say, the 50s and 60s was the BEST time to be a middle class resident in the United States. Did you know in the 50s, you could earn a minimum wage job and be qualified on that one income to buy a house!

This was my dads Continental!! So cool to see how much your Grandpa loves the car. My dad put a lot of love into it. Our family will for sure miss it, but we are so happy to see it go to someone that obviously appreciates it! So awesome that you guys could do that for him, it is such a beautiful car! ❤️❤️

When you're grandparents first sat in the car, I pictured them 50 years younger....brought a tear to my eye....this was beautiful!
Thank you for this. My dads been gone since 2009 and my grandfather past in 2019. I’m 34 and I cried threw this. I miss my father and grandfather so much and this made me happy to see his smile. He was happy for the ride. One day I plane on getting a 86 fifth avenue for my mother

What a wonderful thing they have done for their Grandpa. It brought tears to my eyes.
We still have one of the 3 classic cars my grandpa used to have, He sold his 51 ford and sold his torino and kept the 47 ford. We also have a 70's pickup that literally everyone has borrowed and drove still. Hell my uncle rebuilt the engine in the truck in like the 80's in the driveway.

As a grandfather of 5 grandchildren I can promise you that your grandfather will cherish your gift but even more so, whenever he looks at you or at that car, he will be overwhelmed by a full heart.

Awesome, wow, genuine, beautiful.... Being a grandpa myself couldn't believe the joy and love he has for his amazing grandson and his wife. really enjoyed it. You made a huge difference in his life. I can bet he didn't sleep properly for days. Always going out to see his dream car over and over again making sure it's not a dream.

@@untermRadar710 I disagree. Both of my parents were abusive but I had a LOT of material possessions as a kid. I wish they had loved me more and guided me properly to survive rather than give me things.
I watch an awful lot of these kinds of videos. It always seems to ME the Mormon's from Utah have a LOT of money and are always doing things associated with materialism and calling it love and family, etc. I DO know the difference between the two.

this put a tear in my eye. I’ve only ever seen one person as passionate about a vintage car like this, and that’s my dad. when my mom found the car for him, he was just as happy as dallins grandpa. I’ve always said if my dad found another car that he would love, that one day I would find one and surprise him with it.

I'm in tears, I'm so happy for this old man! And he's ABSOLUTELY right 👍! This is also my favorite car of all time! the most perfect looking car! So cool so classy. In 1978 When I was 22 I moved to ocean beach, ca. I would walk past this house a couple of times a week, deep down a long shaded driveway was parked a 1956 Lincoln Mark ll. Usually the tall gate was closed, a chain link fence with metal slats woven thru the links obscuring The view. But occasionally the gate was left open and I could see the all black car. It was the coolest looking thing. I loved the way the spare tire was fitted into the trunk shape. absolutely genius design! I used to call it the ghost car. with the gate closed it was as if it just didn't exist. you would never have any idea that something so cool was behind that gate. Having seen this green one I'm not sure which one I'd like better. I actually think the green one is the best looking one I've ever seen, the interior blows me away. You definitely have an investment there, and I and I don't mean in the car I mean in the whole concept the whole idea of buying this for your grandpa the investment in your family! the best part of it is your grandpa's going to enjoy it just the way it is to be enjoyed. Hopefully it will be a family heirloom. He's a lucky lucky guy he's got the best grandson and granddaughter in law ever!

I love seeing your grandfather's joy and that you two gave him that joy. I know just how he feels about a particular car. For me my dream car is a 1958 Oldsmobile Rocket. My mother had one from the time I was 4 until I was 10, I am 60 now and still love the 58 Olds Rocket 88. For me there is no more beautiful and sporty looking car in the world than the the 58 Olds Rocket 88. Only way I will ever have one is if I win a big lottery.

This tops all of them cos since 1956 Grandpa's thought about owning this car, and we have to remember, he's created two generations of humans since and the most recent has made that dream come true.
