Marguerites is what a lot of countries call the humble daisy. So you weren't wrong calling it that. They both came out very cute, but the colour of the second is my favourite on you.
The pattern name is much fancier-sounding with "Marguerite" than Daisy in the title, isn't it?
I just want to take a moment to say how I always appreciate how you respect your partner's privacy! You've made reference to their office space at your old east coast place, we saw a hand petting Nutella, but other than that their presence is completely off-screen, and I really appreciate that!

My eternal crochet struggle is starting summer projects in the summer, and then finishing them in the fall, just as it gets too cold to wear them! And vice versa for cozy blankets and whatnot. One day I’ll figure it out, lmao

(I’m currently knitting a 1930s chevron pullover with typically dense instructions, including no schematics and no indication of what the gauge should be. 😜)
But all the liberal policies and laws have wrecked the whole state.
I’m also moving (not quite 3000 miles) and can concur having straight stockinette to relax with for an hour at the end of the day is a relief

Welcome to California! Yes, moving is so hecking stressful, good to have some stress knitting on hand. How did Nutella get to Utah? Both sweaters look so cute!
Now the big question because I'm not caught up, where did your doggie go? Did you fly them out to Utah? And also, that Marguerite sweater is gorgeous!

Both are amazing, I love vintage knits. The Marguerite sweater is called that because that's what the flower is. It's a large 3-4 inch daisy type flower.
there's a lot to love about this video but watching the button choices was my favorite!

Marguerite is a kind of daisy. very large, handsome plant it would be a perennial where you live. You are such a speedy knitter and magnificent work.
Linen yarn is a pain in the but to knit with 🤦🏻♀️🤣 Come to think of it, moving has to be one of the most stressful tasks, along with working with linen, cotton or any other plant based yarns! Wow, you reminded me that I have a bottle of vintage buttons my great grandmother passed to my grandmother then mother then me😊

thank you for those bits of explanation regarding your chosen yarns! I live in a tropical country so we have mostly warm weather year-round. I've been wanting to try vintage knitting but choosing the yarn has been one of my problems. I'll definitely try local bamboo cotton mixes. congrats on the move! the sweaters were beautifully made 😊
Nice trip video, the sweaters turned out lovely. Northern Calif isn't as cold as the east coast, but I must say, with the moisture in the air it can get you cold to the bone. It is a lovely state, I hope you enjoy yourselves.

Now living in So Cal / 1 hour north of LA.,
Know knit “skinny scarves” long cotton 2x2 13 inches wide/ long loop... great for chilly eves and mornings...🧶👍🏻

It's interesting to see the patterns knitted in non-wool yarn, both look great. Nutella looked so happy in the truck with you. I'm knitting little white socks in mostly stocking stich, and yes I agree that it's relaxing to knit and not think too much.

I think that pattern was shown along with skiing outfits and I think it’s edelweiss an alpine flower that starts out a little greenish or whitish in the center and blooms a small yellow there’s five little round circles in the center of the flower PS you didn’t say where you’re moving out west so just a few hints we lived in the high desert north of LA And the temperature can drop from one extreme to another as much as 40 to 60° in a single day so don’t give away your sweaters that you think are for winter and in LA a lot of people wear a sweater in the morning and then tie it around their neck but they always start out in shorts it’s kind of like a tennis outfit reminds me of have fun and keep us posted

I’m supposed to be packing up to move this weekend and knew I was working today (Saturday) and now working part of Sunday. And I’m supposed to have the house packed by this upcoming Friday. But all I want to do is finish my Crescendo sweater. And ignore that only half of my house is packed. 😭😭
