- Rebuilt the handlers for Dawnfang and Duskfang and recorded a little demo of the empowerment and evolution elements which change the blade from dawnfang to duskfang and evolve it to superior version.

A sword that gets more powerful the more you use it?
I feel like should have seen that before, yet this is the first time I'm seeing it.
It's based on the Shivering Isles weapon, and it's 10X better than the creation club one because it actually functions as such :) But yeah it's been in Legacy for awhile and has had a few iterations of functionality with varying success. I hope this is the last one lol.
I'd love to aid with Oddysey one day, one DLC sized project at a time though :)
Is there anything that can be done about how the sword un-favorites itself when it switches between Dawnfang and Duskfang?
sadly no, once an item goes out of your inventory the favorite status is cleared. There is an SKSE function for seeing of an object is favorited or not, but as far as I know, no function to set as favorited.

@Icecreamassasin It would be cool if you could have all 4 added to the inventory but have the other three hidden and only have 1 actually weigh 11 pounds then you would only have to favorite each once BUT I have no idea how dropping the weapon would work like that and it seems like a lot of work for one weapon.
@@piersonhall9197 There is no way to "hide" something inside your inventory. Believe me, Dawnfang is already the most complex weapon coding wise you will ever see lol. Adding a few extra conditional checks to finding favorite status and re-applying it is the least of my concerns, of course the code has to exist in order to do it and sadly does not, which is actually kind of interesting because the SKSE code has a function for removing favorite slot number assignments and checking if it is favorited in general but no controls to add it.

Are we still expecting a end of the month release? I’m putting of my next Skyrim run. But I’m starting to get the itch real bad. However having been hit by the diabetic fun train myself I understand the delay just curious.
No, as posted on my blog and discord, because of a diabetes diagnosis, I've been set back a little bit because of appointments and style of life adjustments, so I pushed it back to end of September at latest. We are pretty close though, so we'll likely start testing by the first of the month and be out in a week or two thereafter.
Icecreamassassin Thanks, for the update. God, I remember being sent too the hospital for days with extremely high blood sugar. A 6 years ago when I found out I was type 1.
I saw that you guys want to pump this out before the end of this September. I’m currently trying to help plan out a playthrough for my friend. This will be her first time going to play this mod, so why not V5? So I wanted to know what mods will be compatible compared to V4! I read the Wiki btw!
Does the enchantment charge reset when it switches to dawn/dusk like in oblivion? Would be nice to not have to use soulgems.
Each of the 4 forms of the weapon has it's own charge count but will need to be recharged

Also, I have a question relating to odyssey. So, since this mod introduces new provinces, will it technically be incompatible with mods that do the same thing that are compatible with legacy? This might be hard to word so I'll try an example: The gray cowl of nocturnal introduces part of hammer fell and is compatible with legacy, but since odyssey introduces hammerfell, would they not work well together? Thanks!
@@philliplopez3643 it's like having 4 different weapons basically. Its fine done this way so it maintains improvements you made. would be best to pose these questions on our discord but ultimately yes and no. We only are doing sections of other provinces so if that mod adds the same key areas, it would be a little odd. Not game breaking just immersion breaking.
i think i have a problem with my dusk/dawnfang, the souls count does not stack, it always says, 1 or 2 souls consumed even if i slay douzens, it didn't do this back in V4 but with my new game in V5 i have this issue. i hope you can help me
