See the museum with a full compliment of supported mods fully filled as well as a full group of new patrons and vanilla visitors enjoying as well. I will demonstrate various new features and mechanics and just take a stroll around the space I've worked so hard on for the last several months and the last 10 years

No problem with me. Tell me something, when can we expect final version of the 6.0 ? Timeframe, long wait, short wait ? What is still needed to be fixed ?

SO excited for this. LOTD was what got me deeply invested in Skyrim and got me through the pandemic! Love seeing the work the incredible team is doing.
The museum really seems 100x more alive with this update. Really fun/exciting stuff, keep up the good work! :)
Typically a museum gift shop is the last and unavoidable room after the tour, which one must go through to reach the exit, glad to see the LOTD team has not given in to predatory business practices to convince us to buy something on our way out. Looking great Ice!
There IS NO SKYRIM, without legacy of the dragonborn, playing without this mod is a total heresy!

Holy moly, I literally just redownloaded skyrim for the first time in two years and am setting up my modlist from scratch! Excited for this update to one of my all-time favorite mods!!
This is incredible. Hands down one of, if not the greatest Skyrim mod ever made. Hats off to you and the team, the amount of care and detail put into this is insane!

The stairway to the safe house is such a great touch, I can finally get rid of that OP teleport spell, I only wished you added some visual structural support to it, it kinda just floats right now.
Well it's attached at the top and bottom and has runners up both sides just like my deck stairs which don't have columns to prop it up, doesn't really need a bunch of superfluous support stuff but maybe I'll stick a couple extra rails out from the wall to make it look reinforced.
I'm barely a quarter of the way through this & I'm grinning ear to ear. You & your team have already done so many things that I have daydreamed about or hoped someone might do some day but would have felt like a monster asking for.
I know you probably hear it all the time, but this mod is the backbone of my load order, & this little found family of explorers has gotten me through some very dire times in life.

I guess we’ll be expecting to see the museum in the next elder scrolls release. Maybe one day in the remakes - like Morrowind and oblivion.
I still play legendary edition so that very first DBG is still what I have. Love this mod. You modders made Skyrim one of the best games in existence.
Thanks for the new version of the museum, this got me motivated to finish my play through of the v5 i have been postponing. Hope to make a new run in a near future with the V6, thanks for your work.

Wow, what an amazing tour video, thank you! I finally had time to sit down and watch this weekend. I kind of regret it though.. because while I was excited and keeping tabs on the update, I was content to wait. But now, I am so eager to see all the wonderful new things you've added!! It is a lot harder now to be patient.
You guys are so innovative and have such a high standard of quality and consistency in your work. I started on Xbox and LotD was what made me realize the full potential of what modding can offer, there was nothing else remotely close to it in my LO at the time... it pushed me to move to PC actually.
... I don't know if this is actually helpful, but I help beta test a follower mod and my co-tester Kat discovered he could get stuck in one of those vanilla FF ai packages for things like the Whiterun Giant attack when his follow package interrupt flags had both the "Observe Combat" and "Aggro Radius Behavior" ticked. Obviously you're indoors and I didn't see any combat 😆but I thought I'd mention it since it's a similar situation.
Thank you again for giving me such an enriching and rewarding experience to playing Skyrim.. ever since XBox LotD has a permanent place in my LO, along with every possible display mod. I love interacting with your NPCs and just walking around the museum remembering what I'd done in my current game. 💖

I have redownloaded the entirety of my Skyrim load order in prep for V6!
Absoutely love this mod!! it has been a main stay in my lord order saince its first release you and everyone ont the team have done such a great job! im really looking forward to this new Verison and Odessey. I have a few minor Questions if i may. First will we get a fox and rabbit display for the new terrarium, to finish the wild animals from base skyrim. Secound with the Safe house plus will the dwemer hutch become compatiable with the House planner or will we still need to manually put the items into the hutch?

This mod was what got me back into Skyrim, and is essential at this point. I'm trying to do a vanilla run on Xbox to snag the rest of the achievements, but I miss this museum everytime I start up the game. I did at 300+ hour series on Twitch, with lots of quest mods and other snacks with LotD support, and had so much fun (until the Anniversary Update fudged everything :P). I even met some new friends through it. Thanks for all the work on this through the years, to you and the team. Can't wait to play V6, and Odyssey when it finally releases. Here's to another 10 years of playing Skyrim :D
I might have missed it if you talked about it in the video (2+ hours is a lot of time with a toddler in the house xD), but have any work been done on the Much Ado About Snow Elves quest or releated quests? I had such a hard time getting that quest to work at all. I fiddled around with set stages and eventually skipped the whole quest, and it luckily triggered the next one. It was probably my modlist or load order that was the culprit, bet every over part of the LotD ran smooth af.

God this update looks SO awesome! I love the focus on new patrons and npc interactions, everything looks so much more lively!
One question, any idea if anything in this new version breaks VR compatability?
We don't directly support VR so I don't really know, but I would not expect so.
Yeah the immersive stuff really brings the place to life. We have 150 individual conversations and scenes between NPC's. Added almost 3000 lines which is just slightly more than what v5 Legacy had

Very soon. Just finishing up the last patch fixes and a couple minor fixes shouldn't be much longer

I absolutely love this . I can't imagine Skyrim without it but I am a console player. Will this be available on my x box series x ? Thanks much for your hard work.
this needs mentioning: the LotD v6 is only compatible with the very most recent Skyrim SE/AE; if you are playing 1.5.97, or 640 there are missing assets. which I found out AFTER messing up a very complicated and intricate load order with lots of self-created patches.
It's also worth noting you should read the instructions. Because you CAN roll back after the update and use 1.5x or early 1.6x if you use BEES. It's all good
@@icecreamassassin3006 if you roll back. which, yes, lots of people have done. but a lot of us never had the _ResourcePack.esl, we stopped updating BEFORE bethsoft screwed up our carefully created modded customized games. so the next time I have a different system to install Skyrim on, so I can get those 2 files, then yes I can make my 640 work with LotD v6.
Thank you for the amazing work, I'm simply saying "not directly compatible with older versions", as per nexus norms, would have saved ME 6 hours out of the last 36.

In order to use version 6, will we have to download all the anniversary edition creation club stuff? I usually only include about half (those damn zombies are so annoying).
No creation club stuff is required ever. You will have to update to v 1.6.1130 or newer OR upgrade and rollback and use BEES for expanded esl support.
hi Ice, I just saw where the HF dolls going to be planted, 3dnpc no longer going to be supported?? as one of the patches because I use both ; w ; and where HF dolls were placed thats where the display for 3dnpc is
Interesting NPC’s was never “officially” supported, so I would reach out to the person that made the display patch to see if they know about this change and/or plan to update the room for V6
@@courier6960 Gutmaw manages the 3dnpc patch and its logo approved so its all good HF and 3dnpc is next to each other :)
So my Q where’s the Museums cat ? And is there a Dog kennel for the guard dogs ….are there guard dogs?
Also are there stables for the horses that transport goods oh and do you have your own assigned Dock and explorers cargo ship with a block and tackle or elevator/winch system for the logistics of transporting goods to the museum instead of using the main gates ?
The airship is the designated ship and the explorers have their own airdock. No animal support for the museum. Would make sense if it were a stand alone place outside a city but inside that doesn't make much sense. A house cat is a fun idea though.
not sure if this was asked but what if someone had the addon Legacy of the Dragonborn - Hall of Forgotten thats door is located where you put the gift shop how will that work now?
I told the author to move it. So he will need to find another reasonable spot for it.
I was having some audio issues in the QA portion. Is the concern re Odyssey & BS Bruma an overlap issue, or an engine limitation concern? I'd hate to have to choose between them, but I can understand there's only so much this old game can handle before some kind of cascade failure is a concern. 😂
Just search for "odyssey of the dragonborn setting the record straight" and find my voodoo and chickenwire modding wordpress article. I get tired of repeating it :D

Looking fantastic, still a lot to be done obviously like removing the older Additional Hearthfire Dolls display and updating the Daedric Crescent's model, but overall I loved the preview tour, I jumped in halfway when it was live and watched what I missed after the stream. Really digging the art exhibits, just adds more to that museum/gallery vibe the mod is going for.

The custom displays shut down when supported mods use the space, so the house displays can still be there
There will be a bestiary mod soon with its own UI when you kill an animal or monster and get infos about it, planned LOTD support for acquiring items too?
We did see that mod and I'm boiler plating an idea for activator books that could go on stands around the natural science room and access those entries but I'd have to see the full mod first to see how it works and how it could incorporate.

i don't know where to post this but i have installed this version and the air ship keeps going into stealth mode... all you can see is the ladder, ship wheel, and hatch.....
Come to the discord or the mod page. If you are using the original Dev Aveza mod, you shouldn''t be it's not compatible currently.

2:11:27 on xbox I was able to get into the utility cell by equipping the aylied waystone amulet inside of the sort container and then unequipping it outside if the container. I'm not 100%, if it works for all containers I can't remember as I found this over a year ago now but I did replicate it many Many times. The only thing I likes was seeing the original Legacy of the Dragonborn Items that were removed or replaced for CC items. Like your bloodworm helm is a million times cooler than the CC version and also your staff of Hasedoki was better In my opinion too as far as being a balanced part of the game. The CC version is just too OP freakin unlimited ward and you can knock giants and even dragons around like WHAAT?? lmao. Ofcourse these were only 2 examples of many all around better items getting replaced for AE items, its a damn shame for those people that dont know the alternate lotd versions even exist, anyway that went off topic pretty quick. 1 last thing I also really enjoyed the instant access to "Every book ever written" 😂 seriously tho I love reading ES books that are new to me and that book case was a damn gold mine absolutly full of them

Yeah the "equip from container" is an added function that causes many bugs and should never be used.
why was Vilja dropped??

I love so much about that mod, but a lot of the functionality is just overcomplicated & prone to break, sadly, if they were going to drop anyone, Vilja & Hoth are the ones most overdue for upgrades.
the one thing v5 did that really annoyed me was that I was sent to get relics that I needed to be a member of a guild to go get. The one item in the labernythian to be precise is one of them.... will this be fixed in v6? I do not like joining the college of winterhold.
that must have been one of the random go fetch quests. you always had the option to go back and say you can't find it. and you get a different item to look for.
@@KO_EN I did. but still the ice blade of the monarch is in a fixed spot and I presume that item is fixed there too. Need it to finish the collection.
The random relic find quests are exactly that, random. There's nothing to fix. It picks things in the open, in quest locked dungeons, in areas accessible through guild quests. It's not going to read your mind on what you don't feel like doing, hence the option to get a different item assigned.

@chrismills2439 that only serves to prove my point. The radiant finder just gives options. For some it's the queue to start that companions quest line or joint the brotherhood in order to get the selected item, other folks cycle through until they get something simple to find.
Audio is very low, your voice is low and the game audio is even lower.
that's 3 lows, there are only 2 audio sources my guy ;) but yes I'm aware, had some technical issues but should be resolved for the next time I stream.
One kind suggestion, museum is way too dark, me, and some other modders and users, do not like that darkness. Please increase light by at least 35-40 %, because NO MUSEUM is so dark in real life....
If you actually watched the video you would realize that they’ve added a setting to give 3 different brightness levels to each of the room (dim, normal, and bright)
@@courier6960 thanks, I somehow tottaly missed that.
@kostarum honestly it's entirely your setup that's causing that. Light and weather overhaul can make it very dark. You need to make sure to patch your game to fix that. It's plenty bright under vanilla conditions.

Well the video capture always comes out darker than actual game as well.
Missed most of this live but am watching and reading the live chat. I have to say I am very turned off by Kriana being hateful and shitting on other mod authors that yall have not worked with or have decided not to support their mods due to various reasons. The elitist attitude from your team I have interacted with has left a pretty bad taste in my mouth as a newer mod creator. Its just something I feel may need to be thought on before some of your team gets a reputation like arthmoors.
