    Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! czcams.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    If the water becomes to much I recommend a condensate pump, all you do is plug it in route the hose thru the window or whatever you want and point the ac drain into it and boom it’s ready to go I use one it’s amazing.

    When my unit like this was set up by my friend she didn't set up the drainage hose and I didn't know any better, now for this year I have plugged it in and noticed a musty smell, so I cleaned all the filters and now realize thats why. Do I pick up the AC and put it outside and open the 2 gray knows and lean it to drain it? Maybe try my best with a bottle brush to clean the area I can fit with a bleach solution? H there . I don't have this model but it is similar . model # DPA100B9IWDB-6 . My problem is there are two exhaust hoses a large one with another smaller one inside of it . from what I can tell from the instructions one is to be used for a patio door and the smaller for a window . There is only one window panel only has one hole to fit the larger exhaust . If I use the smaller hose only that leaves a lager open area of the larger hose . I hope this makes some sort of sense lol .Can anyone help

  • @CWWJR
    @CWWJR Před rokem

    IMPORTANT: You are not suppose to drain the unit till after the season. If I dont have to in Florida of all places. You dont have to. It vents it as a mist and also uses it to cool the condenser. So draining the unit can cause it to overheat since it doesnt have that water to cool the condenser

      its "Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER)" is 10. It consumes ~ 1200 watts continuously when cooling. @ $0.15 per KWH, it would cost $2.15 every 12 hours when cooling. For that to be a true AIR CONDITIONER, it needs a compressor, heat exchanger, condensor, and some sort of refrigerant gas. I didn't see any of those detailed in the video. I have seen other devices that the manufacturer calls an "air conditioner" but those only blow air across a water-filled grid....much more of a humidifier than an air conditioner. I would have liked to see a temperature reading of the input air and a temperature reading of the air coming out.
