    I bought a KTM 350 EXCF 2024 and pulled the reeds and got a Vortex ECU and same end cap. I am very happy.

    I'm really enjoying your content! Just found this one on the Husky! I'm thinking of getting a Husky 350. I wouldn't worry about what other people say about how much $ you may or may not spend on your bike, it makes me laugh when others tell me how I should spend my $.

    I have 500excf no reads two 3/4” air box holes tacos power commander and screen out of stock end cap. 5 gear wheelies! Less flame outs. Still gets hot quickly with fan coming on when on 2nd gear trails in Wa. Just ordered pro MOTO end cap with silencer. Can’t wait. Hope it’s nOt loud. I love it. More power than I need. WOrd I’m 50!

    On my brand new 2019 KTM EXC they reprogrammed the original ECU at the dealership for the full 58hp . All I had to do myself was remove the restriction tube in the airfilter hose and remove the exhaust tip mesh. These bike come originally as street legal very detunes low power (20hp on mine before derestricting). But same bikes also gets sold as full power race bikes and only difference is the removing the detuning for getting full power, no need for new ECU at least on the 2019 model.

      @Stamatis Tousoulis They are meant to have the full power 58hp. The maintenance schedule that is in the manual is based on full power and racing them hard... If you run them at 20hp you could probably make do with MUCH longer service intervals but then again it would be better to have one of the smaller engines derestricted. Makes no sense to have a more heavy 500ccm and only 20hp. If I am not mistaken the 20hp limit is put in to make the bike pass emissions restrictions for road legally use. Also here in Norway you have a power to weight limit on motor cycles and the KTM 500 is so light that it can not be road legal at full power.

    Not sure if Kyle would be modding his 350. But for me since I'm still learning off-road stock on that bike is plenty good For me anyways lol. Although, I've just been riding the 701 off-road 😆. I am jealous of how light the 350 is...sooo light. And i used to think the 701 is light! Especially after riding the GS 🤣

      An aftermarket ECU like I did is not necessary. I figured you'd really like it. Im spoiled by the weight already. Lol. Its just a matter of time before you take that bike over! haha
      Thanks Pam, appreciate ya!

    I don't want more power. But I do have a major issue with the bike starting when it's cold. It can be more finicky than a carb.
    More problematic, it also dies (maybe flame outs?) frequently when down shifting between 3/4 and 2/3 (20-30 mph). I'll down shift for a sharp turn and *click*, the engine dies immediately upon the downshift. Have to restart it in the middle of the turn. Also, it won't idle sometimes. Just flames out.

      make sure your idol is set high enough. These bikes the idol needs to be like 2000 rpms. That will help with the start and flame outs without an ecu.

      Turn the red knob a little bit at a time…like a little bit.

    The stock EXC runs very lean which in turn makes the bike run hot. The GET ECU richens the bike which will keep temps down, this will extend engine life (top -end). However everything has its downsides. With the new ECU youll lose gas mileage and maybe need to replace your sparkplug more often, but as far as the life or your top-end youll probably gain a little.

    • @DerrickHokit-ex3mo
      @DerrickHokit-ex3mo Před rokem

      the stock ecu does not run lean with the stock airflow and exhaust, when you change the stock exhaust and airflow it will then run lean, adding the get will then change it after that
