  • We look at installing a few goodies from ‪@TACOMOTOCO‬ to get that new gen KTM 500 EXCf running how it should be. This is very similar to the kit for the 20+ bikes but the new 2024 is slightly different.

      It’s made by a company called KTM. They are based out of Austria and have a few different plastic kits for these bikes :)

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  Před 2 měsíci +1

      no, just the standard 2 position map switch. The new fancy one isn't out yet and will be an add on from what I understand

    Great vid! Is it even worth it to change from the stock crankcase breather hose? Seems unnecessary.

      There’s a chance of engine oil getting back into the intake track with the stock one.

    Do you have the pull that 02 kit off to run the GET ECU? Or can you leave it on?

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  Před 27 dny +1

      You can leave it on
      But with the GET it doesn’t read the 02 anymore so it’s just extra weight and stuff that can be broken off

    Did you have any cold start issues with your taco Moto ECU? Mine won’t start well without the cold knob engaged (even in 85 degree weather)

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Nope, no issues at all
      Try this - prime the pump 2 times, then give it 2 quick turns of the throttle. Pull the cold start knob and it should fire instantly every time

    what is the bennefit in HP or Weight or removing the Desmog parts?

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  Před 2 měsíci

      Removing them will let the bike run more consistently. Leaving them on makes for a few erratic attributes and can make the bike hard to start when it’s hot. This just takes all that out of the equation. I would say removing it is 1.5 to 2 pounds… but that’s a guess

    I think it would have been helpful to understand why you're doing this to begin with-- what problems are you trying to solve? Were you experiencing flameouts, but adjusting the idle did not work? Even Taco Moto's white-paper says setting idle properly solves 75% of this issue.
    Did you want more power that re-gearing sprocket ratios for your application-- hard enduro, technical trails, mixed, desert-- did not solve in terms of low-end torque vs. top-end power?
    Get ECUs and Taco Moto's tuned version are certainly great for high-end racing, but almost every review I see, the rider didn't try simple and cheap bike maintenance (free idle settings and

      These things are too corked up from the factory and occasionally flame outs can cause serious injury

    • @EverySingleSunday

      The 450 XCFW is a great bike, but it's missing the most important part of the bike for those of us that live in a place like CA. But this 500 runs better than a 450 XCFw now with all these goodies
