      This battle was extremely tight, quite difficult one to judge. I gave the last round after the first tie for Johan´s team, but it is so hard for me to say which team took it during the first 3 minutes.

    So good to see these head to head tricks, but am I the only one who really dislikes the fact that team battles always seems like a mess? It def makes judging harder and for someone who doesn't understand tricking, it is simply not pleasant to watch...

    • @alexlivingston826
      @alexlivingston826 Před 4 lety +6

      They need to focus on the tricks instead of the stupid gloating in between.

    • @Vellusta
      @Vellusta  Před 4 lety +2

      I really enjoy the heat of the team battle, especially when they really go head to head with each other. This one was super intense and fun to see live. But I´ve heard from many non-trickers the same when showing them team battles, many of them have hard time to enjoy it because they don´t know where to watch and maybe even forget who is in which team :D We should think and discuss about it deeper as community if we want to push tricking for wider audience

      @@Vellusta I was specifically talking about the pointing at your toes and dragging on the ground stuff to "make fun" of the other person's tricks. It looks so stupid. Showing personality is great, but when they do it to this extent they just look like assholes to me. I know they aren't! so don't get me wrong.
      It doesn't look "hype" at all. If they only did it once or twice a battle I probably wouldn't even notice, but it's too much in my opinion.

      After the first 3 minutes some judges voted tie and others against each other, so they ended up going for extra 1 minute. Johan absolutely murdered the first combo. After that Pinto came with the handcombo and really nice cork CA to splits, but Tristan´s answer to it was really good and he sideswiped over Pinto´s head which looked insane in real life. Redje came with the strong variation and after that Reiji came with crazier combo, but with a slight stumble on it. I gave the last overtime round for Reiji, Pinto and Johan, but can see why the other judges voted for YouKick: Tristan´s nice response for Pinto and Reiji´s slight stumble.

      This battle was so heated and amazing to see live! Really enjoyed it, could feel the energy and hype all over my body. It was extremely difficult to tell the winner after first 3 minutes, so I am glad we went to over time. After the extra time I voted for Johan, Reiji and Pinto but YouKick took it 3-2. Beautiful show by everyone in this battle, hypest one of the whole event

      French style of battling is really intense, I remember it already from back in 2005 when I started tricking and it hasn´t changed. And Pinto is known as quite lively battler as well :D Sometimes the acting goes over the top and looks just funny, but these guys really put on a heated show. This was hella intense to see live
