Wow Sport is Russian´s leading acrobatics gym, providing classes for tricking, dancers, tumblers, aerial acrobats etc. On December 2019 they held the biggest and the best Russian Tricking event so far: Wow Sport Tricking Battles and I had the honor to visit the event as special guest to judge the battles and teach workshops.
Here you can take a look at what happened and also hear behind the scenes, how did Grigory Pashkov and his partner Max from 158 crew open this huge gym.

Hello, my name is Vellu Saarela. I have been tricking, competing, performing and teaching all around world in 25+ countries since 2007. Myself and my previous team earned recognition by winning numerous tricking battles (including Big Trick 2009 & 2011, referred to as European Championships of the time) and making it to the finals of Finland’s Got Talent 2011. In total I have visited more than 130+ international tricking events as a special guest, which has given me a very special perspective over the growth of tricking for the last decade around the world.
My goal is to push forward tricking as a sport as well as an artform and make it familiar for more people in Finland, Europe and all over the world. In 2015 I opened up my tricking business, making it possible to share tricking with wider audiences and earn consistent living through tricking for myself and many other dedicated trickers. For 4 years we worked with the name VellusTa, nowadays we go by LegendTrick.
LEGENDTRICK GYM is Finland´s first tricking gym, opened to Tampere in March 2019. We provide daily lessons in tricking, handstands, stretching, dance acrobatics and parkour. LEGENDTRICK ENTERTAINMENT is a show agency, creating big and small acrobatic productions with a big focus on tricking shows. - Sport

Respect back to you! Krasnoyarsk has a long tricking history and has a very strong tricking community. Slava and later on many others following his footsteps have done amazing work. Seeing both Slava and Ilya killing it at this event and being extremely motivated for a strong comeback made me so happy.
Krasnoyarsk is a legendary tricking hub! So many strong trickers out there and Sportex providing awesome facility for training :)

I really liked this 'behind the scenes' look into this gathering and gym! Very often we forget to appreciate all the hard work that goes behind a good tricking event like this one, and the people who worked for the opportunities they have now. Grigory's story is super inspiring! Thank you for sharing. :)
Grigory inspired me hugely when I went to visit this gathering! For me it´s very interesting to go to the roots and show to people what actually made it possible for the community and events in certain countries to start growing the way they did. Glad to hear you enjoyed it, I gotta find time to edit another one that I did with Taiichi in Japan :)

Very happy to hear that man, your feedback is much appreciated! It´s very encouraging. Sometimes I am having trouble to film enough at an event, because I also have to and want to meet and talk with all the people, judge the battles, teach workshops and of course trick myself as well. But this time after arriving home I managed to fit it all together and make the video flow quite nicely. Making progress there I guess. Really made me realize though that I need to take my wife with me more often, because when she joined No Gravity gathering 2019 and helped me film, I could make 4 videos out of the event where as from this event filming alone, only 1 video :D
yes i think too that you have to take your wife with you attending gatherings.. it's kinda hard to create vids of tricking which is interesting for tricking athletes and "not knowing" people!.. for me, this vid should be a role model for every gathering vid! you really make progress in this! really hyped for your next vid, but don't feel under pressure, i will love it for sure!!! 😅😊✌
(by the way, i always loved scott skeltons vids the most because he really created emotions in me by watching his samplers... after your latest vid i'm sure you can even surpass him!!! this vid is really the best tricking vid i've ever seen! thank you!)
