I set this tank up the first week in April, and as you can see in June, it's already filled with shrimplets! Don't believe the old-school thinking that you must wait a month for your tank to cycle-this has not been necessary for over 30 years! Unfortunately, many hobbyists are stubborn and refuse to use products like Fritz Zyme #7 nitrifying bacteria. The #9 saltwater version has been used by marine biologists for decades to start huge aquariums like Disney's Epcot decades ago! It works!
