This is the #Chessnut #Go: one of the smartest chess boards I have ever tested. It is based on the same technology powering other Chessnut boards. It is magnetic and portable. It comes with a convenient carrying case. This tiny smart chessboard works with Chess.com and Lichess. It works with Chessbase, Arena and other desktop applications. You can also use it with WhitePawn, Chess for Android and third party applications.
The board is super thin, so you can easily fit it in your backpack. It has LEDs to show the moves on the board. In this video, I show you how it works.

Awesome....thanks..can't wait for mine to arrive...cheers
have they given you a shipping date? I thought early July?
@@Gadgetify Hi, it says between july 3rd and july 31st ....cheers
@@TurnFullCircle that's exciting. This board is going to be a hit. I wonder if it outsells the Chessnut Air :)
Other good review, I will buy this set...🎉🎉🎉
I tried to cover everything. Video got too long :) It's a pretty awesome board. I like that it is super thin.
I have a specific question:
Imagine you are playing a game and your opponent captures a piece (shown on device but not moved on the e-board yet). Instead of re-capturing normally by playing their capture and then your re-capture, would the computer recognize it smoothly if you, once the device captured, removed your piece and their piece from the board at the same time and put the new piece capturing?
I hope that made sense and I’d love to know the answer. Thank you for the review!
so you are saying that if player made a capture, and you captured back without registering their capture first? Am I understanding this correct? Like they capture a bishop and you want to capture back their piece, so you just put your piece and forego their capture? Maybe I am understanding this wrong.
@@Gadgetify Yeah I think that is right. Let’s say they capture your bishop with their bishop and you, on the board, simply remove both bishops and put your pawn there that is re-capturing for example. I would really appreciate if you tried that and let me know if the computer registers it properly
@@lokkedpiano5261 I have actually tried. Sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't and tells you to complete the capture first. I play bullet and fast games and sometimes I do that. In general, you have to complete captures move by move.
@@Gadgetify Awww okay, so it seems to be hit or miss whether it works or not. Sadlife. Thank you so much for reading and trying. Keep posting videos
Which do you prefer between the air or air + and the go? Wanting something to use at home and portable as well.
The Go hands down. I like the Chessnut Air+ a lot. It is gorgeous but Go being magnetic is a big deal to me. I am already clumsy anyway. In the future, you are going to see more videos with Go and fewer with Air+ because it is just more compact and does the job. It has pretty much all the same features as the Air and Air+. Those boards are portable but this is just the next level. The other board I like the Chess Genius 2024. That was is not as strong but does have a standalone computer. It's for a different audience: czcams.com/video/XIB1bi9yFME/video.html
@@Gadgetify thank you. I had been considering a dgt centaur but without the ability to export games and analyze, I don’t know if I see the value there.
@@Pianoman1488 it really is tragic that there haven't been many firmware updates. It's still a fun board. The hardware is there. The software leaves a lot to be desired.
❤
had to upload this 3 times. It got too long and I still didn't cover all the features. Should do a follow up and also a bunch of comparisons
