You know guys, I sorta take it for granted that the videos are top notch mainly because they are not *bad*! So it just occurred to me to congratulate Zack on his professionalism. Zack your work is so good it is "invisible". You never see the guy behind the camera but you have to remember, "Of course there's a guy behind that camera". And he's damned good!

At 41 i now realise how fast life can pass us by, when Dennis mentions that he had the car 48 years i can see it kind of hit him that it has been that long. It's just one of those things where to me the 80's and 90's just happened but a lot of adults alive today wasn't even born yet, and i'm sure it feels the same for people much older than me too about the 70's and 60's.. Life is just crazy, it goes so so fast. He probably remembers this car when it was mint, hopefully he gets to see it restored now that it's in Dennis's hands.
Yeah Josh. I'm 4 years Ted's' senior (when he turns 70) and yeah the years speed on by.
In '67 I turned 16 and bought a '64 GTO convertible, 389 tri power 4 speed. Next car was a '68 Mustang 289 fastback, which caught fire the evening before (planned purchase a week before) I bought a new '69 Z/28 in December 1969. Over the years I had another GTO, Firebird 400's, Trans Ams, Chevelle SS, Z/28's including an IROC, Corvettes, turbo Regal T-Types, Now at 72 I drive a Camry. I occasionally dream I kept the original Z in a garage somewhere.
@@gw3598 I'm one year older that you, and I have a 67 cougar with a 390 four wheel dics no rust or dents.lots of old timers will be giving up there old cars in the next few years, I volunteer in a restoration shop here in north California and the old guys are starting to talk about selling them
When I hit 60 I realized I’d live 2/3 of my life and then took a look back at the past 40 years and everything that had happened. Gave me a whole new perspective on life

Owned it for 48 years, and it's been off the road for 48 years? Why? This is nuts! Can't wait to see the refurbished car.
It's sad for me to say this but hoarders just collect things with visions of grandeur and no way of completion. For some reason they will eventually sell due to old age or the need for "MONEY" but thank God they can let Dennis and people like him take care of these gems. In no way is Dennis getting rich he just uses the money he has to fulfill what the car can become, and employee technicians that keeps the economy going. Thank you, Dennis.

Looking at the sad condition of that Shelby, it's a miracle all the matching number parts were still with the car.

Wow, dead or alive, I can see why Dennis gets deals done, with his politeness, empathy and listening to the sellers stories of the car. I real lesson to those that want to close a deal, well done team, another one saved.
Totally. I love hearing folks tell their stories. It is interesting and Dennis is so polite and patient. It’s genuine too…and a huge bonus because making friends leads to more deals. I kind of wish the money part were talked about so we can understand the deal but I respect Dennis and assume he has his reasons to keep that out of the public eye. Getting these cars back to life is soooo expensive. Even if you get into these cars for $30K you could spend $40K or more restoring them…and it might barely make $10K in profit with tons of risk….it’s not an easy business. You gotta know your stuff.

Great job saving 69 GT 350 I love that color I Allmost buy 69 Mustang GT that color it was originally with 351 Windsor FX Tranmission I remember was 3.51 rear gear.. Great job !
Ive owned my 68 Mustang 47 years. Bought it when I was 18. It looks like new inside and out, Still Goin down the road. This is one sad girl here. But im sure someone will restore it and love it.

If you pull up that address on google maps, you can actually see that Shelby across the street back by the storage trailer (where the other two likely live). Can't believe Dennis found 3 Shelbys an hour from my house! 😮

Do you think he was revisiting in his mind what he sold the car for after finding out the rarity? 4 speed with Air tells you a lot about the collectibility of most muscle cars not just the Shelby.
Just turned 60 and it amazes me that as much as I admire all the Detroit muscle from the big three how vehicles that were once plentiful and inexpensive have now skyrocketed to astronomical value. I guess seeing, owning and driving alot of these cars when I was younger makes me not so in awe of them. I remember hemi cudas and road runners with no start conditions and seeing LS6 Chevelle's as well as Camaro SS , Z-28 RS which I owned 2 by the way just everywhere. I remember 3 boss 302s in my county and knew all their owners. The Shelby's never really caught on where I lived and it was just because of our age group at the time couldn't see the value and never had a clue about what their value would be in 40 or 50 years time. My first wifes parents bought a used 70 Nova 396 ss 4 spd as a second car to haul groceries and do errands. I think I saw one on Barret Jackson with similar options get 60 at the gavel. Just 30 years ago you couldn't drive 5 miles with out seeing a second or third gen Camaro, now all that's on the road are fwd Korean junk. After owning and flipping everything from 70 GTOs to 9 different Camaros, mostly second gens and 2 first gens, both RS optioned I really miss seeing all these cars that we mostly took for granted that they would be around forever. I don't agree with the inflated dollar amount of all those car but do miss seeing them on the street late Friday and Saturday nights racing for c notes and bragging rights at work on Monday..

Sometimes it comes in handy to have a trailer hitch on the front of the cab also, making getting the trailer into tight spaces
easier, then re-hitch to the rear.

Always finding those hidden treasures !! I was into vintage pre-1967 VW's....I remember an old double barn door early, 60's micro bus in my So. Cali, high desert neighborhood. It was parked in the back yard at LEAST, 25years. I drooled, everytime I drove by seeing it just parked. BUT figured, they knew what they had, as they had a karman Ghia, and beat up beetle out front. And, I'm sure EVERY VW guy around already had hit em up to sell the bus. The typical " Oh nooo will never sell, I plan to restore it 1 day" probably what they got told.
Well, out of the blue, I happen to drive by the house and OMFG !! That Bus was GONE !!!!
