It's not greed, it's toxins in processed food. Obesity is more prevalent in the West in poorer parts of society because cheap food is chemically processed food.
True but gluttony still plays a role. A lot of people over consume because they are not getting proper nourishment. Processed food plays a massive role too and I truly believe fast food is vile disgusting poison and should probably be illegal or highly regulated. Fast food contributes to Americas worst epidemic and the FDA seems totally cool with it. Still though even without fast food if you are glutinous you will be unhealthy. There are so many factors like life style, habits and behaviors, genetics and thought process. Still though people have to take health into their own hands and become aware of the problem. Even if you are poor you can still afford fruit and vegetables, eating processed and fast food is more expensive then cooking your own meals, and the impact it has on health is unsustainable. You would save so much money in the long run by taking care of your health and preventing heart disease and diabetes. A lot of poor people think the cheaper up front cost of processed food saves them money but that's not true when they depend on mountain dew and Doritos everyday. If they ate less food that is more nourishing they would save their money and health. But ignorance and gluttony drives people to consume excessively, so they are not satisfied with fruit and salad for lunch. People need to get priorities straight; "do I want a momentary rush of pleasure from eating this cheese burger, or do I want to feel good about my self in 10 years."

I'm sorry but that is the biggest crock of SH1T, with more choices of food at supermarkets then ever in the history of the world the ONLY excuse is bone idle laziness, fat people choose fast food over making a salad because it's easy and they are lazy. Sit on social media or in front of the TV instead of sports or hobbies. Chemicals in the food YOU 1D1OT.
That processed food is just more convenient and of course tasty on a primitive level (sweet and fatty). Not much to do with being cheap, you can live cheap and healthy pretty easily.
No excuses for being fat, jogging is free.
