- This Tutorial is an overview of the different nodes available to create UVs in Houdini, and also covers setup, display and previewing of UVs and textures in Houdini, and demonstrates a quick way to display PBR textures.

ok so
project is planar project,
unwrap is auto project,
uvflattern is unwrap, also cut/seam/allign/straighten uvs (pin is ignore while repacking)
uvlayout is Layout
uvautoseam is ... autocut (idk)
uvtransform is moving along the pivot

Quick question: Do these tools all with UDIMs as well? For instance: would I just use UV Transform to push the UVs into the next UDIM space?
Hey, I'm really frustrated because I can't to find out how I can create UVs of a torus (created by a sweep) so that the both "hemispheres are not on top of each other.
Also I don't understand how to cut islands, when I select loops that should divide the torus into 8 islands, I still only have island 0.
I know I'm doing something wrong but IDK what it is.

Unfortunately the principled shader doesn't have a slot for AO.
