Just fallen in love with this shape! Lovely! And normally I'm all about round. Do you infill? I've just spent my first year as a gel user pretty much mostly only using builder and just filling in because I felt like it was a way to avoid damage but also quicker. And now I've taken it all off after some very short breaks to find a lot of damage. Although it seems to be only half the bed. I think it might just be because I got a pro drill and had to learn to go easy. But I also worry it was the filling in. But I think it would be such a drag to remove and start again every couple weeks - not to mention builder gel sticks well and is hard to get cleanly off without buffing! Curious to know what you do!
@jessbfoster I don't infill, but I completely understand what you mean about using the drill🥲 I have one too and have made some mistakes not being careful enough and created divets in my natural nail when trying to get the bulk down during removal! Luckily it grows out haha. I usually fully soak off/remove the Builder Gel when it grows out enough to bother me. I don't mind the process too much and prefer it fresh every time personally. Lately I have been rocking natural nails, but next time I do a Builder Gel removal I will make sure to record my go-to removal method! I have a few things I've learned to help speed up the process since removal is so time consuming 😮💨😅
@@rilizzles_nails Oh yes please! Looking forward :)
@jessbfoster I wanted to share I did upload a DIY gel removal tutorial with a few tips I've learned that help me speed up the process 😊💅💕czcams.com/video/qYUO6PGIEdw/video.htmlsi=6ybDJPrQIaGr61tB

Thank you for this video. I just bought some Moroccan 5 in 1 builder nail gel. I have everything laid out to use. Glad I accidentally found your video. love your camera angle. Your directions were clear and consistent. I did hit the like button and subscribed. Thank you again.
Ah thank you so much, I really appreciate hearing that! I hope it was helpful 💅✨️ How did you like the 5 in 1 BG?
You make it look easy 😊
It definitely gets a bit easier the more applications we do! The tips and tricks I've learned along the way from Instagram and CZcams have been so helpful too☺️
I subscribed. This was just perfect!
🫶✨️ah thank you, appreciate you being here!
You did great!!!!!!
🫶🥹💖thank you so much! It was kind of scary pushing that publish button LOL
@@rilizzles_nails that’s the hard part!! And you did it!!!
my question is, once your nails start to grow out how do you do a "fill" with the builder gel? or do you need to completely remove every couple weeks and start all over? thanks so much!
I usually fully soak off/remove the Builder Gel when it grows out enough to bother me. I don't mind the process too much and enjoy it fresh every time myself. I have been rocking natural nails most days lately, but next time I do a Builder Gel set I can absolutely do an infill on the growth, and record the process! 💅💕
Thank you for making this tutorial ,I'm a DIY and I also am a Madam Glam VIP and I've been waiting for a Good Video on their products 🤗👍💖♏
Glad to hear it was helpful!💕 thanks so much
How do you apply the color,As well as Rubber base coat ,I have weak thin nails and so I try to use the Rubber base coat,I would 💖to see more Videos from you,Thanks again 💯👍♏
Hi @missmarleerivets1864 ! I believe you could use Rubber Base Coat in place of a regular gel base for more strength in your gel manis! So I would do Rubber Base, gel color (2 coats or so for full opacity), then finish with Gel Top Coat. Thanks so much for watching 🫶💕
Thanks so much for sharing this! Super helpful for us beginners. New subscriber here!
Ah thank you! I'm so glad to hear you found it helpful🫶✨️💅
Nice and educative
I appreciate you saying that, thank you!
Very informative. Thank you.
I appreciate you saying thank 🫶 thanks for watching!
❤
I'm trying to self teach myself how to do Nails and I've subscribed to Madam Glam VIP 😊. If you have any videos about how to Extend your Nails ,I have weak nails, and So many Product's in order to ,but not sure exactly what to do ,Thanks Again
Absolutely, there are so many possibilities with gel products! I have a tutorial for DIY nail extensions with paper forms, which I'll link below!💅💕

Great video! I’ve done my own gels for a year now but I use Bluesky builder gel in a pot. It’s interesting to compare to the bottle with brush, I’m tempted to try it. Yours seems runnier and maybe easier to control. Have you used both? Thanks for the video ❤ 👏🏼
Thank you for watching 🫶 I actually haven't tried BG in a pot before! I have heard that BG in a bottle, like the one I'm using in the video, is a bit more runny and more user friendly, however like everything that would depend on your preferences of course. BG in a pot is typically more dense and better for structured/longer nails and extensions. So I'd say if you keep shorter nail length-then BG in a bottle could be a great option!
Thank you for this thorough video. I own several MG Builder Gels but I haven't used them yet because I wasn't confident enough regarding my skills. Your video has been extremely helpful. I do have a question. Can the MG Rubber Base Coat be used with the Builder Gel? I get good results with that product, combining the 2 may work well.
Of course, I'm so glad you found it helpful🫶 I haven't used MG Rubber Base with their BG myself, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to layer the BG over their Rubber Base. They both have specific properties, for example, the BG cures more rigid, while their Rubber Base tends to be a bit more flexible. I tend to use Rubber Base when I just want a natural and minimal coverage, and BG when I want to grow out my nail length and need extra strength (or to build an extension). Knowing that you've had good experiences with their Rubber Base makes me think you'll probably like the BG too, the formulas are relatively similar to work with
Push back cuticles, file for your shape… do you buff the shine off your nails?
I don't buff my natural nails before application typically. Though I do know that can be a helpful tip to help gently texturize the nail to help product grip! If that's something you try, I'd just recommend doing so very minimally to not damage the nail💕💕
Use dehydrator and let that dry, then go in with the gel primer… do you let that dry before going in with your first thin layer?
Yes! I did let the Gel Primer dry, though I'll specify that the Gel Primer I'm using does stay tacky to the touch and doesn't fully "dry" so I usually just wait 1 min before starting with the first coat of gel base.
Hi..great video but I have a question-if I wanted to put a gel color over the builder gel can I just place the color then top coat or do I have to then put the base over the builder gel then the color then top coat? Is that a thing? Please help..thanks in advance!
Hi there! I believe it would depend on the specific type of gel color you were using. If the gel color has base coat built in (like a 2 in 1) then you could probably skip using a base coat, however, if the color you're using recommends using a base coat, I would. It'll help the color adhere to your base of Builder Gel and prevent premature lifting of your gel color
Do you remove builder gel when it's time for re-application?
Yes, typically I let it grow out until it bothers me and then I'll remove it. I have never had much luck doing infills myself at home.
Newbie over here! Do you ever use builder gel to extend the length of your nails? I've wanted long nails my entire life and have yet to accomplish this goal. I'm thinking builder gel might be my answer
Hi there! Yes absolutely, I have used Builder Gel (BG) to extend my nails after a break or after a big chop! It is a good option to try! I don't have any current tutorials on how to do a BG extension, but I will record one when any breaks happen in the future. And in the meantime, I will find a good tutorial for you to reference 🫶 If you want to just use BG for your extension, you would need nail forms to extend past your existing nail length. Though if you do a BG overlay over existing shorter nail length, it does help grow your nails out as well 💅💕
This YT Short shows a quick/simplified overview of how to use Builder Gel to extend nail length using a paper nail form
