Looking good! Excited for this drone! You know it’s funny that you mentioned about the weak transmission signal. I’ve had this happen to me several times with my Evo 1 right after the last update awhile back. Never had this issue before that flying in the same areas. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or what. Happened tonight. Got several weak transmission signal warnings and then the drone went into return home. Anyway I’m sure they will work it all out. Thanks for the night flight. Finally someone actually put the bird up at night to show us what it could do.👍

Thanks for your HONESTY Ken! That's what will KEEP you a solid channel IMO.. I personal didn't like the night capability compared to the Mavic 2 Pro which I fly.. with that being said, your editing skills can make CRAP look AMAZING 😱.... Awesome video as Always Ken! 👍👍💯💯. And yes flying at night can be very challenging! Lol..👍👍 Nice job..

WOW! I pulled up some shots from your EVO II 8K vs. Mavic 2 Pro comparison and compared the them with similar shots from the EVO II Pro. What a difference! The E2P did much better showing the shadows without burning the highlights. But the biggest difference was in the much lower noise in the E2P shots even at the high ISO. Very impressive! Thanks for sharing this.

Ken try switching the bandwidth setting to 5mhz instead of 10mhz which is the default. Shots look great!
Hello, I know that in theory 5MHz would get you a better range but in the practice it dosn't happens with the EVO2 PRO. 20MHz and high definition image transmission will give you a much solid and strong signal.

Excellent... fully explained everything and your plan before doing it, all settings and what you were after were very clear, caveats highlighted... kept it simple and concise... as you know I just wish every review on here did that... results amazing and you still have th 6K (5.5K) to play with... really can't fault it, not that I wanted to ha-ha. With this video you sealed the deal for me. It will have been way worth the wait for this Drone. I knew I wanted an upgrade from my anafi. I knew I wanted a non DJI. I knew I wanted a 1 inch sensor. Thanks to your review I knew I was right ;) Now it's just a matter of waitin .. lol

Alex Jenkins - Most drones utilize a smartphone for providing the additional space needed to display not only received images, but provide visualization of the myriad of associated flight functions that enhance the flight experience. DJI makes a dedicated smart controller - no need for a phone/tablet and cable - that has a comparable (or bigger) bright screen. I own one, and it has many pluses. Most feel the main negative is the price. IMHO - well-worth it. As for now, the controller works for their M2P, M2Z, P42V2,and new Mavic Air. It would be great to see Autel come out with one which is not only compatible with EVO II, but forward compatible with future models.
@@johnm.karian5295 I use to own a smart controller for dji mp2 and it wasn't very good. Very bad signal and couldn't use the app store as its blocked as you cannot add your gmail account and many more. Yes fully agree it's nice but lots of problems
@@johnm.karian5295 That's what I thought you meant, just wanted to make sure. My EVO now and the new EVO both have smart controllers. I was able to jump out and get some sunset pics the other day in seconds and not have to worry about connecting my phone. Screen on the controller is probably clearer than my crappy phone, too.

I would be interested in seeing the 6k night footage as well, just to see how it does, it yeah, I think that most people will not be really using the higher resolutions due to space and machine requirements.
But, that fact that it can do the higher res well should tell us something about how good it should be at the lower res.
Still looks like they have a very nice drone, with some more tweaking to do on the software side.

Great video. I have no idea what stutter you are talking about in your previous video. I didnt notice a thing, but I've also noticed I don't notice the "motion blur" that other people complain about not being in some videos. So it's probably my untrained eye! Still liked both videos and think this drone does an amazing job from what I can tell...
You can turn on the light beacons? Don't they normally flash during flight?

Was considering a Lume Cube for the Strobe and the cheaper ones for the side anti-collision lights. Whats your recommended solution? I was thinking I didn't want to have 3 ugly 3M velcro patches leaving residue when not in use, or leaving the patches on there all the time either... Hmmm..🤔🤔
Hi Ken - What type of card and its write speed are you using?
I just asked the retailer I purchased my Evo 2 from about the SD cards. They assured me that the 128GB SanDisk XC V30 is plenty enough to record in 6k. I’m still skeptical but I will try to remember to return here and update this if it is not good enough. From what I can tell, a V90 will do 6k and 8k without any issue but might not be ideal for 4K. I don’t know why that is, but the same chart seemed to indicate that a class 10 V60 SD will do 4k, 6k, and 8k. I am told under no circumstances should anyone attempt using an SD card exceeding 128GB capacity with the Evo 2.

Even for action shots of say outdoor/action nature shots (say kayaking down a fast river) or say sports action (baseball or just whatever type of sport movement), you still prefer to shoot in 24 over 60fps?

The only sad thing about watching your videos is that here in Brazil this drone doesn’t exist and it’s the same drone from DJI they are absurdly expensive... by way of comparison, if we had the dollar of one to one and used the value in reais, a dji mavic air 2 would cost seven thousand dollars!!

Nice video. One question, I have the M2P and I know it’s 1in cropped sensor. Do you think the E2P is cropped or full? How do you think it would hold up to the P4P?
All three of those drones are 1" cropped sensor. anything under ff is considered cropped
For best results, shoot in 6K24 for 4K24 delivery.
Did you have to get waiver from FAA to fly at night?

It's a professional drone, with fantastic features, and it's worth every penny. I just switched from DJI and I don't think I'll ever go back.

The more of your videos I watch, the more I want to pull my hair out.. Air 2 = get it, best thing you can buy under $1k.. Evo2 = Well it's really good, but I really messed up the Pro 2 comparison video/filter.. Skydio = Well it's a great drone but I sold mine, it's great though. Pro 2 = well we all know this is the Cadillac, so who cares what you say about it. Do I buy the air 2 or do I wait?
